~start of Kyoto Exchange Event~
I dropped down between the Kyoto and Tokyo students who were staring each other down.
"Y/n!?" a familiar, but unwanted voice called.
I rolled my eyes and looked over at my Kyoto teammates, "Excited to see me?"
"Didn't think you were coming," Utahime huffed.
"And miss this?" I looked over at the Tokyo students. "I would never."
Todo scoffed loudly.
"Y/n! I'm so glad you're here!" Kasumi yelled.
I smiled, "You been training hard?" I nodded over at her sword.
"Yes! Just wait and see!"
"Where have you been?" Noritoshi interjected.
"Mm, well. Duty calls."
"We were told you haven't been assigned a mission in almost 2 months," Todo snarled.
"Geez," I sighed and looked towards Momo. "Are you at least excited to see your fellow third year?"
She beamed brightly, "Of course, Y/n!!"
"Alright," Principal Yoshinobu Gakuganji interrupted. "Let's start the team battle."
I looked at the old man, "You know, it's rude to interrupt."
The blindfolded mosquito I seemed to never be able to get rid of laughed loudly.
I rolled my eyes and walked away.
"You can't ignore me forever!" he called out.
I sighed to myself. Wanna bet?
••••
"You want us to kill the kid?" I asked the principal.
"Yes."
"You tell me what to do again, and you're dead!!" Todo yelled while breaking through the wall.
I looked at the principal with disappointment, "All you assholes are the same."
I followed Todo out, not wanting to even be a part of the conversation any more.

"Don't fucking follow me," Todo huffed.
"You're gonna go find the kid, right?"
"Mm."
"Then I'm going to stick with you. At least for now."
"Whatever. Do what you want."
I was following closely behind him. Why do the work when you can have someone else do it for you?
"Are you planning on killing him or protecting him?" I asked.
I never understood his motives. Other than liking tall women with big butts...
When we met, he said I was his type, so I kicked his ass and he hasn't brought it up since. Man's smarter than he looks.
"That depends on him."
"Fair enough," I shrugged.
"Should a Special Grade sorcerer even be allowed to compete?" he turned with me with frustration.
"Well, you're a Grade 1..."
"Not the same."
"Close enough."
Suddenly, we heard footsteps running through the forest.
"That's them!" he exclaimed excitedly and took off.
I sighed. I should get to this kid before they start their fight. I really don't want to be dragged into watching it.
I launched myself forward and plopped in between the kid and Todo.
"Wait," I called out lazily. "You're Itadori?"
I looked at the kid with pink hair. He definitely doesn't look like much of a threat.
"Uh, yea?.."
The rest of the Tokyo students had stopped to watch me, curious about what I was going to do next.
"We should go," a girl with short hair called.
"No. We weren't planning on her being here," another boy spoke up.
"Fushiguro and Kugisaki? The other two first years?"
"What are you doing, Y/n? We don't have time for your games!" Maki spoke up.
"Just getting acquainted," I smiled. "You three have caused quite a fuss."
I walked slowly up to Itadori, "Especially you."
He kept his eyes locked onto mine.
"What's with the mask?" he asked.
I laughed softly, "Toge covers his mouth too. You ever ask him that?"
"No. But only because he doesn't talk much."

"Salmon."
I put my hand underneath Itadori's chin and began to move his face around, studying its features.
"So, you're the one with Sukuna inside you? No offense kid, but you don't look like much."
Fushiguro quickly spoke up, "If it were your whole squad against Yuji, no cursed energy involved, he would easily take you all down."
I smirked at the two boys, "Is that right? So your cursed energy is lacking?"
"Not lacking, just inexperienced," a voice called over the speakers.
"Was that Gojo-sensei?!" Itadori called.
I rolled my eyes impatiently.
Fushiguro noticed, "Do you not like our sensei?"
"Not particularly," I mumbled.
Todo smirked, "They've got, well, history."
"What?!" Itadori exclaimed. "You're a student!"
I quickly interrupted, no longer interested in the subject, "Yuji, is it?"
He nodded his head.
"Do you mind?" I asked, gesturing in general to his face.
He shook his head, and I gave him a soft smile.
"What are you going to do?!" Kugisaki called out in concern as I lifted my hands to my mask.
Yuji looked at me with wide eyes. "It's ok. I'm not going to hurt you," I reassured him. "If you're innocent, you have nothing to worry about."
I slowly removed my mask, exposing the rest of my face.
There were a few audible gasps from the Tokyo team.
"Y-you're beautiful," Yuji huffed out.
"Thanks kid," I smiled as I brought my hands to the side of his face, holding it softly.
I was tall compared to most of the girls, but he had a couple inches on me, so I titled his forehead down.
"I wouldn't let her do that if I were you," Todo called out, trying to make Yuji squirm.
I softly laid my lips on his forehead and a shockwave came over me.
My golden eyes could read people's thoughts and intentions well enough, but once my lips touched someone, I knew them down to their very soul.
I withdrew myself from him as soft tears started to form as they always did when I connected with someone.
It was dead silent as I replaced my mask.
Yuji couldn't take his eyes off me, "W-what'd you do?"
I put my hand on his shoulder, "I see you, Yuji. You are so good..." I looked down feeling overwhelmed, "Too good for this world."
I cleared my throat as I brought my hand back and recomposed myself, "We won't be killing you."
The Tokyo student's mouths dropped open as I got ready to leave. Very seldom did I let others see my sacred technique.
It wasn't for battle purposes, I had other skills for that, but it was an important part of who I was and how I operated.
"Yuji, I won't stop Todo. If you're not strong enough to defeat him, you'll never be strong enough to be Sukuna's true vessel."
"However," I turned to Todo. "You end up killing him, and you'll be dead. So choose wisely."
Todo smirked at my threat, "A chance to fight you? Now I'm definitely not holding back."
"Where are you going!?" Yuji called after me.
"I didn't come to compete. I came to meet you," I bowed my head softly. "Now we're friends! So I offer my protection." I gave him a closed-eyed smiled.
As I opened my eyes again, I lowered my voice so only he could hear, "I'm so sorry for your loss. You're a good friend."
A look of shock and confusion stretched across his face.
"H-how?..." he started, but I quickly cut him off.
I looked back at the other students, "Maki, Toge, Panda. Always a pleasure."
"Fushiguro and Kugisaki. I look forward to getting to know you more."
"Whatever you did to him, you're not doing to me," Kugisaki muttered.
"You offered your protection," Fushiguro spoke up. "Why would he need protection?"
I smiled before turning to leave, "Good luck everyone!"
"Let's get out of here!" I heard Maki yell as I began to disappear into the forest.
I hope they win... Now, I was really pissed off about Principal Gakuganji's stupid fucking request.
You won't be getting to Yuji anytime soon. Not while I'm alive.
