Day Ninety-Two.
Verses: 'Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. '
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Maybe right now, you are going through some difficult circumstances. Maybe right now, you are battling a mental illness, chronic illness, cancer, or maybe you have lost a loved one. No matter what you are going through: God wants to love and comfort you.
As you all know, I have been battling unbearable physical pain from fibromyalgia for two years now. Since my last devotional I shared that found a new doctor that will actually treat me and I got on some new medicine. I am very happy to say that the medicine I am on is truly helping! I feel the best I have felt in two years. Praise God! I am not pain free but I am so much better. I have started back college (so I will be updating the book when I can) and I am very happy (with my pain level, I have been feeling depressed). I have been feeling depressed (I have just been chemically depressed because I still live with bipolar) and God has been comforting and helping me.
We need to go to God when we are struggling. I know it's easy to want to run away from God and try to do life on our own. But trying to do life on our own, never works out because we need God.
We need to run into God's arms by praying to Him, reading His word, worshiping Him, sitting in silence and listening to Him. By doing all those things God will grab our hands and help us through life with Him on our side. With God on our side, we can do anything! (Matthew 19:26)

God will comfort you. (Isaiah 49:13) When you go to Him. He will wrap you in His arms. He will rejoice in you coming home to Him. He will love you, forgive you, care for you, always be there for you, comfort you, encourage you, guide you, and give you everything you need.
God will love you forever. (Psalm 136:1) (John 3:16) God loves you, just the way you are. You don't have to pretend that everything is fine when it's not. You can be honest and open with God. God will be there to help you. (Psalm 121:1-2)
God will listen to you and help you through whatever you are going through.
God loves you and He will comfort you.
Prayer:
Dear God,
I am really struggling. I am running into your arms. I pray that as I spend time talking to you, reading your word, worshiping you, and listening to you that I grow closer to you. I pray that you bless me with your love and comfort. I believe in you. I know that you hear my cries and I believe that you will help me. I believe you are good and I praise you for your goodness.
I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.
In Jesus's name, I pray, Amen!

The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. 12/20/2021: we're back to work! Rat Damon reflects on his life of adventuring, both before and after meeting Jack Jensen of earth. He recounts many of his experiences, both happy and sad. He regales you with the tales of power found and love lost. This is a side-adventure based on our The Other Guys series. Rat Damon makes an appearance in Heroes of Last Resort but is much more than a simple rat. What I will post here is going to be a lot rougher than Heroes as I am writing and posting as I go along, so my apologies go out to you in advance! However, I will revise as needed as we go along. As writing isn't my full-time gig, the posting of new material here will likely be a bit irregular and as far as what length this book will be, it remains to be seen. This was originally envisioned to be a 30-40k word novella but one never knows where the story will take me. Do not fret, book 2 in the series is well on its way, in fact much farther along than this novel(la?). We will see where Rat Damon takes, I guess! I messed up so i'll start to rewrite the story as well as try to find a better title for noir, another novel i'm writing. *I'm not dropping this, it's gonna be like an idea dump for the remaster one Far cry of an anti-hero. Which will be darker and somewhat more comedic in a way... read it pls i'm so bad
