Day One Hundred and Fifty-Nine.

Verse: '"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.'"

John 3:16

So the other day I was having a really bad day. I was feeling stressed, depressed, overwhelmed, and in a lot of pain from fibromyalgia. But as my Mom and I are driving home I saw the words: "John 3:16" on a truck. I knew that, that was God talking to me. God was telling me to read and live that verse.

God believes you are worth dying for.

God loves you so much that He sent His one and only Son to die on the cross FOR YOU. Even if it was just you, God chooses you and He loves you (John 3:16). The question is: "Do you believe that God loves you?" I know we hear about how much God loves us but do you know in your heart that God truly loves you? If your answer is no, that's okay.

Okay Caty that sounds great, how do I know that God truly loves me?

Because of all of God's promises, here are some, just to name a few:

God will never leave you. (Hebrews 13:5)

God will comfort you. (Isaiah 49:13)

God will help you and always be there for you. (Psalm 121:1-2)

God is always faithful. (Psalm 33:4)

God keeps His promises. (Deuteronomy 7:9)

God is good. (Psalm 31:19)

God will draw near to you. (Psalm 125:1-2)

You can do all things through Christ. (Phillpians 4:13)

With God on your side, you can do anything! (Matthew 19:26)

God has an amazing plan for your life. (Jeremiah 29:11)

God is for you and on your side. (Psalm 118:6)

God is all around you. (Psalm 125:1,2)

God never changes. (Hebrews 13:8)

To really understand how much God loves you, you have to spend time seeking God by: reading your Bible, worshiping God, listening to God, and praying to God. You can't understand things if you don't open your Bible and read it. Read every verse there is about how much God loves you. Put notes of Bible verses all around your house. Say each one of God's promises to yourself in the mirror. So as you spend time with God and you will be able to understand His love for you because as you seek God, He will draw near to you (Psalm 125:1-2).

So spend time saying these promises in the mirror and seek God then you will be able to understand God's love for you.

Prayer:

Dear God,

I pray that as I spend time reading your word, listening to you, worshiping you, and praying to you that I understand just how much you love me. I pray that as I seek you that you draw close to me. I ask that you grab my hand and help me through life. I ask that you bless me with everything I need to face everyday. I thank you for all of your promises. I praise you for love, grace, and mercy that is never ending.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.
