Very few people get thousands of reads quickly, and most of the books with millions of reads have probably been on this site for a long ass time. They all started out with a few hundred reads which grew into thousands and then millions- its never an overnight thing.
I know it's hard to believe in your book when its only got around 5-6 reads but give it time and those reads could become 50 -60, then 500-600 and then who knows. Keep updating, even when it feels like no one is reading but you. Never give up on your work just because of its reads, just wait and give it time.
