Y/N opened the window to let her owl fly all the way to the Bloodstone Mansion with her letter.
Hogwarts had lost its twinkle over the past few weeks. With the competition, tensions ran high as Harry competed. Successfully, he made it out alive the first two times, it was just a matter of days before the third.
Y/n had day off from lessons, as everybody needed a break recently after Cedric Diggory's death in the tournament. They didn't have to wear uniform when the lessons were cancelled, so she got dressed into a small black top and black leggings, with a cropped green off the shoulder knitted cardigan. Her hair was in loose Dutch braids. A familiar knock startled her as she was staring out the window. She walked over and opened the door, to be met by a pair of grey eyes.
"Can we talk? Please?" Draco asked, to which she replied with a nod and they walked over to her bed.
"I feel like we've barely spoken over these past weeks" He sighed, collapsing onto the bed.
"I just hate this childishness Draco. You know Harry is a friend of mine and you continuously taunt him" She replied folding her arms.
"I know. I just can't stand him and I think he's lied about putting his name in the fire."
"I know. I just want it all to stop, the tournament as well. I feel like Hogwarts is so dull recently" Draco put her arm around her.

"It'll be over soon and everything will be back to normal. I feel like you need cheering up" Draco said cheerfully.
"Desperately" She laughed.
"Soooo, I've got a surprise for you" Draco said with a rather large smirk. Y/n sat up and looks directly into his grey eyes.
"What surprise?"
"Come on." They stand up and she let him lead the way.
The castle was awfully empty, everybody was either in their common rooms, dorms or out on the quidditch field. Persistently, y/n asked him where they were going. Ignoring her completely, they kept walking all the way out the castle, and into the forbidden forest. Draco placed his hands over her eyes, guiding her along. She stumbled a few times, getting rather frustrated with him. They came to a halt, and he slowly took his hands away.
In front of her was a black blanket, with a straw basket on top and a metal bucket with two champagne flutes. He'd hung fairy lights around the trees, giving them a form of light as they were surrounded by trees making the area dark.
"I thought you'd enjoy this. Took me all morning" Draco chuckled nervously waiting for a reaction.
"Draco this is beautiful. You did this all for me?" He nodded in response.
"Thankyou so much I love it!" She squealed, throwing her arms around him. He smirked and looked down.
You wouldn't think he would of done all this, seeing as he is not the affectionate type, but he would of done anything for her.
They slumped down on the blanket and opened the basket. Inside was what looked like what they had at Malfoy Manor. To their delight, the food was still hot. He grabbed the glasses and poured champagne in each.
"Where did you get all this from?" She asked, taking a sip of her drink which she pretended to like.

"From the Hogwarts kitchen. The champagne is from Hagrid's cupboard" Draco laughed.
"Thankyou I can't believe you've done all this for me. You've gone right soft" Y/n nudged his arm playfully.
They ate their food after an hour of talking, which was still surprisingly warm, and clinked their glasses. They chatted about everything other than the tournament. There was plenty of times the pair couldn't breathe from laughing.
"Stoney?"
"Hm?" She replied as she laid looking above at the trees.
"I just need to ask you something" He said with his head down. "You and Fred Weasley. Is there anything like, going on between you two?" He asked nibbling his lip anxiously.
"NO! Course there isn't! We're just friends, okay?"
"Okay. Well that's good then" He said relieved.
Why was that good? Was he jealous?
"Right pass me a glass." Draco grabbed them out the bucket, managing to pour it everywhere but the glass itself.
"So this to us. We haven't been talking much recently and I've hated it. Not to go all soppy but you are my best friend and I couldn't do anything without you. Cheers to us" Y/n exclaimed, and they clinked. Obviously, she wished it was more, but their egos were too big to go into all that.
After more hours of talking they headed back to the Castle. It was only until they got out the forest they realised how dark it was, they must of been there all day.
"Shit, I need to go put all this back before we get caught" Said Draco.
"No Draco we'll get caught-
With that, he ran into the kitchen, threw the basket and champagne bucket on the side and ran out, whilst Y/n stood laughing horrendously when the glasses smashed on the floor.
"Go go go quick!" Draco grabbed her wrist and they fled out of the kitchen as quickly as possible.
They say goodnight and disappear into their own dorms. What a perfect day it was for them both, a huge grin was plastered on her face.
