Tick.
Tick.
Tick.
Y/n was laid on the leather black sofa in the pitch black.
Slowly, she fluttered her eyes open and the first thing she realised was how sore her head was.
Tick.
Tick.
She groaned and tried to sit up against the arm rest, but she felt something heavy on her leg.
"What the" She whispered.
The heavy thing groaned and shuffled back.
It's Theo's leg.
All she could hear was the ticking from the grand clock, she could smell the vile firewiskey bottle leant against the table leg, and could see absolutely nothing.
The memories of last night came flooding back. How she poured her heart out to Theo on how shit everything was. He knew everything.
Fuck.
Fuckity fuck.
He knows everything. He knows about Fred, the DA, how her parents stopped writing, how Draco hates her. She couldn't help it, it all came out like word vomit. But who could she trust anymore? Could she even trust him? Shit. What if he tells Draco everything? What if he tells Umbridge? What if he tells Fred she used him? What if he leaves her on her own again? What if he-
"I can smell burning" This male voice murmured.
Y/N shot her head towards the sound of the voice next to her on the sofa.
"What?" She croaked out.
"It's your brain. You'll set it on fire with all that thinking y'know."
She heard shuffling. Then footsteps.
Then the green lamp was switched on the table.
"Draco?"
Draco was stood next to the lamp with a small grin on his face. Not smug though. He was wearing a black t-shirt and grey joggers. He looked, well, gorgeous.
"Theo came straight to me when you'd passed out. Ah" He picked up the empty bottle of firewhiskey and shook it.

"Tut tut Bloodstone. Tut tut indeed."
She rolled her eyes and was starting to feel sick with nerves. The last time they spoke he aggressively grabbed her in the corridor.
"If you're here to lecture me about last nights activities then get it over with, my head is banging" Y/N replied, with her head in her hands.
"So quick to assume the worst in everyone. I'm here because I was worried, believe it or not Bloodstone" Draco placed the bottle back on the floor and slumped next to y/n.
"So why are you here then, Draco."
"I just told you, worried. Where've you fucking been?"
"I don't know maybe ask yourself. You haven't spoken to me in weeks and the handful of times you did you've been a-
She stopped.
"Go on."
"You've been a cunt." She was now looking at him, trying to focus her eyes on his pale grey ones but the room was still spinning. Draco sighed and rubbed his eyes with the heels of his hands.
"When you've got somebody like Umbridge breathing down your throat it's not all daisy-chains and unicorns you know. Don't act all prim and proper yourself, you've been a dickhead to me too!" Draco exclaimed.
"Because you hate me. Everybody hates me and Theo's now told you everything so that's ruined everyt-
"Huh?"
"Well Theo told you everything I told him when he came to get you right?"
"No?"
Shit.
"Oh."
Draco turned his body and crossed his legs so he was sat facing her. He looked concerned.
"Y/N, Theo told me you were a fucking wreck but I don't know what over? What is it?" Draco tried to take her hand but she pushed it away.
"You know, just about us. I thought you hated me" Tears started burning her eyes and she felt hot. Part of that was true, but he couldn't know about the DA.

"We're fighting for different sides. I thought you fucking understood this! I can't be seen with you anymore!" Draco was starting to raise his voice with made y/n flinch.
"I know and that fucking hurts! I've not been eating or sleeping and i've turned to firewhiskey to wash out my problems! I feel really alone Draco" The tears were starting to tumble down and she choked on the sour air in the throat.
"Sorry."
Silence.
"I'm sorry, y/n. I can't do this. I can't risk being seen with you" Draco turned his body to face the fire and let out a deep sigh.
"Fine, fine don't be seen with me but please please don't leave me again. Please at least still be my friend."
Pathetic. Begging for Draco once again.
"We are still friends Bloodstone okay? We are. I just- I-I can't see you like this. We can't meet up anymore. But we're still friends okay?" Draco was looking at her.
"Okay. Okay that's okay" Y/N got up from the sofa and sat on the floor infront of the fire.
Draco slowly shuffled and sat beside her and rested his head on her shoulder.
"It'll be over soon." Draco whispered.
They both want to believe it so bad.
"For now, leave it." Y/N took his hand and sighed.
"Just promise me you won't leave me on my own again? Promise me you're still here? I'm here?" She pointed to her heart underneath her now damp top from the tears.
"Promise."
