" y/n hurry up and come down stairs and put your stuff in the car " I hear my mom say

I look out the window to see the beach view that I won't be seeing anymore.

I look out the window one more time and said goodbye.

I walked down stairs with my luggage sad that I had to leave my childhood home behind for the summer.

" hey mom & dad I'm ready now " I said with a fast smile

" finally" my mom said while chuckling

" as you know you'll be staying with your cousin josh down in Cali for the year " my dad said

" yessir " I said making both of them laugh

we got ready and got in the car and drove to California.

The last time I saw josh was when I was around 6 years old, let's just say it's been a few long years.

I knew my parents wouldn't be staying with me because " their going on a vacation " as they say but it's because their going to take a break from each other to stop themselves from divorcing but they won't tell me that.

hours later we finally arrived.

the place I'll be calling home for the next year. It was around 11:40 at night so it was late.

I got out the car and I got my stuff and rang the doorbell.

" cuzzo " josh yelled with happiness at the sight of finally meeting again

I chuckled till he took my bags. We waved my parents goodbye as they drove off till the car was out of sight.

" come on y/n let's get inside " josh said

" dang big man still knows my name " I said chuckling

" hahaha funny" he said sarcastically but still laughing

. . . .

We got inside and the house was beautiful inside and out.

. . . .

" where everybody at " I asked.

" they fell asleep, but I stayed awake for you cause I'm a good cousin " he said patting himself on the chest.

. . . .

he showed me my room for the year and it was amazing.

It had much more personality than my last room and had little picture from cookouts when we were younger in comers of the room.

" yo josh do I gotta go to school "

I asked sounding a little to excited

" yea you do kiddo " he said laughing

"same school ? " I asked

" same school, anyways get some sleep tomorrow's our first day of school and it already 12:30 bro " he said

" Ight good night " I said

" Night y/n love you bro" he said as he closed the door to the room

. . . .

Haven't herd those words in a long time, but I couldn't wait for what this years gonna look like.
