Days, Weeks, Months slowly started passing by without acknowledgment.

The winter ball was today, everyone was excited especially me, it was my first dance.

I've gotten close to everyone the past few months and the relationship I have with everyone is crazy.

I was in the halls at school walking to my math class. I approached the class and went inside.

" yooo it's y/n " Dior says

" what's up guys " I say to all the kids I fw with in the class

" it's about to be litty tonight, no cap " trey says doing a little dance

We all laughed and agreed. For the rest of the class we just paid attention and did our work.

Everyone rushed home this day so they could get ready for the winter ball, literally all the tickets for the dance were sold out in two days after they came out.

For the dance I decided to go with legacy and Rome While josh and Layla went with their group of friends.

Basically everyone went with their friend group just because a lot of us weren't dating yet.

Josh was dropping me and Layla off at the house so we can get ready while he goes pick up his suit.

We arrived home and me and Layla went inside.

" omg my babies first dance aaa " auntie says squealing and running towards me with open arms for a hug

" she was like this when I went to my first dance, she wouldn't stop taking pictures" Layla saying walking to the kitchen to get something to eat

" memories are the only thing we can hold on to kiddos. I'm not always gonna be around I want my moments with y'all to last " she says shedding a little tear

" don't say that mama of course you're always gonna be around " Layla says eating some ice cream

Auntie just chuckled at her response.

" alright alright chop chop, you guys need to get ready because these pictures won't take themselves " auntie says whipping away her tear

Me and Layla looked at each other and laughed while going up the stairs.

I went into my room and I immediately saw the dress I was wearing to the dance on my bed. I went to pick it up and I was still stunned at how beautiful it was.

" wow " I say holding it with amazement but then putted it down with gentleness

I went to take a shower and do my typical hygiene things again. A few minutes passed by and I got out the shower. I started hearing a few people downstairs but I decided to take my time.

at this point I started putting on my dress and shoes. I stayed upstairs for a good hour just looking at myself.

I barely recognized this y/n. I've learned and did so many things these past months that've never did when I was back home, this house here actually felt like home.

I snapped out of my thought and pecked outside my door. I heard a lot of people, I'm guessing it was everybody everyone was going with.

I pulled myself together and decided to go downstairs. I opened my door and started walking out my door and down the stairs.

I heard a few wows and omgs while I was walking down the stairs, everyone was staring at me.

" yesss baby " my auntie says hyping me up

At this point all the moms and girls started hyping me up too. I just laughed.

I reached the end of the stairs and immediately Rome and legacy come to me and say

" girl you look bomb like B O M B bomb! "

" y'all too but we not gon stand here and act like Dior and Khoi ain't lookin at y'all " I say giggling

" you lyin " legacy says trying not to turn around

" I'm not ! ima go tell em to shoot their shot then " I say trying to walk towards them

" naw we good. We got it sis " Rome and legacy say fixing their hair and walking towards them

I laughed and just stood their until I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was bronny.

" you look really good y/n " he says looking me up and down

" I can say the same for you " I say smiling

Bronny was about to say something until all the parents yelled picture time. all the kids turned around and started heading outside such as the parents.

Everyone got in a big half circle and the parents started taking ton of pictures, when I say a ton I mean a ton !

After they were we done we saw a limo.

" y'all didn't think y'all weren't gonna arrive in style did you " mikeys mom says

Every kid started getting inside the limo . I started walking towards the limo but my auntie stopped me.

" can i get some pictures...for your dad " she say with a sly grin

I smiled and nodded my head. after a few pictures I waved bye and entered the limo.

The limo started pulling out the drive way and everyone started turning up. We started driving to the location for The dance. After a while my phone dinged. It was Mikey .

Mikey- you look really good with that dress on

Me

- why didn't you tell me that face to face?

. . . .

After I sent that text to Mikey I look for him inside the limo and we both smirked at each other.

After a while of having fun in the limo we finally pull up to the location where the dance was being held, It was at a Grand hall.

Everyone started getting out the car. I was the last one to get out. After getting out I immediately saw mikey by the car.

" you look really good with that dress on " he say looking at me

" thank you " I say giggling

I looked at the grand hall and it was beautiful. Me and Mikey just looked at each other then started walking to towards the grand hall to go inside.

Once we got inside it was loud, everyone was just dancing and having a great time.

We all didn't hesitate to go join into the fun. for part of the dance we were all just getting lit and having fun, it was a magical moment.

After a while the dj called all couples to the dance floor to dance. I saw josh and Kennedy, jalen and Layla and everyone else start getting together to dance with a special someone .

I didn't seem to have anyone to dance with so I started walking off the dance floor but I got stopped by a hand. It was Mikey.

" dance with me " he says holding my waist

I smiled and I put on hand by his shoulder and the other on his other. We had this magical moment and I didn't want it to end.

" you know ever since I met you I couldn't keep my eyes off you " he says smiling

" like on the first day of school when the Mr.williams kept looking at me while in class " I say laughing

" you looked good, who can I blame " he says

After he said that he started leaning in and our lips touched once again, moments like this were always magical.

After pulling away we smiled but in the distance I saw bronny looking at us. He looked disappointed. He started walking towards the door.

" um Mikey I have to go " I say breaking the moment

" wait do I need to come ?" he asks confused

" um no I'll be right back " I say

I left him on the dance floor and I started to follow bronny.

I saw him starting to go outside so I followed him, once he was outside i yelled for him to stop.

" where are you going bronny ? Is everything ok " I say confused

" I was always second best wasn't I " he says

with a hurt voice while stoping in his tracks

" what are you talki- " I started to say

" so you and Mikey are a thing ? please don't tell me you were just leading me on this whole entire time " he says cutting me off and then turning around

Once he said that it started raining. We both looked up then back at each other.

I just looked at him because I had nothing to say.

" I thought so " he says turning back around and walking away

" where are you going ? You can't walk home bronny it's raining " I say soaked

He just kept walking and after a while he disappeared.

I started to walk back inside and I heard " I care by Beyoncé " starting to play. I was wet from head to toe then I saw Rome and legacy.

They started walking towards me with a worried face.

" hey y/n wanna go to the bathroom you look kinda wet " legacy says with a soft tone then looking at Rome

" no I'm fine, do you know where Mikey is ?" I say with a sad tone while walking into the grand hall

" no y/n " They say trying to stop me from going inside but we're too late

I saw Mikey with another girl...kissing. At this point I just wanted to leave .

" um tell Layla and josh I went home " I say starting to walk away from them

" um no we're e come with you " rome say holding my hand

" yea, let's go this dance kinda lame anyways" legacy says holding my other hand

I looked at them and gave them a genuine hug. We start to go outside and the rain got really heavy at this point.

We didn't care and we started walking to my aunties house.
