《You Saw Right Through Me》Meetings 2

Kokichi seemed to be giving off "lying vibes" since Shuichi, Kaede, and Keebo didn't seem to believe a thing he said. "Kokichi probably has no secret organization. He did claim to be a liar after all!" Kaede pointed out. "Just leave him alone. He's far more of a suspicious person than me, that's for sure." Kokichi looked at Keebo. "Well, of course you're not a suspicious person, because robots aren't people, silly!" Keebo seemed to be getting angry, which is a bit concerning since he's a robot that could possibly blow up this room. "Oh, are you mad? Are you going to hit me with a rocket punch?"
I stepped in front of Kokichi. "What about we just calm down." Keebo waved his hands in front of him. "Don't worry, Y/N. I don't have that function." Kokichi sighed. "Aw, man. You're boring." I looked at Kokichi. "Do you want to get rocket punched?" I asked him, slightly concerned.
We walked out and left Kokichi and Keebo with their... honestly, I don't know what they were doing. As we walked through the halls, I got a familiar eerie vibe from the red tripwire on the windows, although, I'm not quite sure why it felt familiar. I'm not quite sure what kind of situation other than this one would make me feel this way either.
"Guys, look!" Kaede walked up to some stairs leading to the basement. "I don't know, Kaede. It might be dangerous." I whispered. "Alright, then Shuichi can go first!" Right, because when it's dangerous, let someone else go first.
"Shuichi, are you okay with walking in front?" I asked. He nodded, so we all went down the stairs, Shuichi in the front and Kaede and I following close behind.
We looked around the basement and I found a door. I moved some plants growing on the wall to see the name of the room. "Library..." I read aloud. "Let's check inside!" Kaede pushed open the door and saw all the books, none of which were organized on shelves. "It's a bit messy in here." Shuichi stated. "Are you a neat freak?" Kaede jokes. "No, I was just wondering if someone was using it before us."
I looked around and found a girl with red eyes and brown hair amongst the tall bookshelves. "Hello there..." I greeted, trying not to startle her. Kaede walked up behind me. "Are you an Ultimate student, too?" The girl looked at us and replied, "Yeah, that's right." She's not the talkative type as far as I can tell.
"I'm Kaede Akamatsu, the Ultimate Pianist."
"I'm Y/N L/N, the Ultimate Psychologist." Shuichi came behind us. "I'm Shuichi Saihara, the Ultimate Detective."
The girl straightened up. "I'm Maki Harukawa, the Ultimate Child Caregiver." I gave her a crooked smile. "I can tell by your facial expressions that you're not too fond of kids."
She looked at me with a shocked expression. "You are definitely the Ultimate Psychologist. Yeah, I don't like kids. The kids just come to me on their own." I tilted my head. "Since you don't like kids, I'm guessing you didn't quite choose to be a child caregiver?"
Maki nodded. "I grew up in an orphanage and got saddled with helping out a lot." She held one of her pigtails. "By the way, do you know anything about the Monokubs?" Shuichi asked. "Yeah! Someone's gotta be controlling them! Any idea who it might be?" Kaede added. She seems to agree with Shuichi a lot.

"How would I know?" Good point.
"Hey, boy detective, shouldn't you have figured out what's going on already?" Maki asked.
"Well, no matter how great of a detective you are, without evidence you can't find out anything."
"Who cares about stuffed animals? We should just find a way to escape!" Kaede exclaimed.
"You really think we can escape? Kidnapping Ultimates from across the country isn't easy, so I don't think these people would make it easy for us to escape either." Maki reminded. "Don't worry, we'll figure it out." I glanced at the door. "Do you want to stay in the library or...?" Maki looked down. "I'll look through these books real quick." I nodded and we left the library.
"Let's check this room!" I said as I pulled Kaede and Shuichi towards another door in the basement. We walked inside and I saw a small boy. Like, smaller than Kokichi, which is saying something.
"Isn't this a school? Should a school have a game room?" Kaede pointed out. "It is strange..." I walked up to the small boy, but was surprised to hear such a deep voice. "Sheesh, what a strange place. When I heard we were trapped here, I didn't think this place would have a game room."
"I'm sure we're not trapped. There's just... limited exits." I pursed my lips. At this point, I don't know how to answer things positively. "We may be trapped, but it's pretty cool here. At least compared to prison." Why would he know what a prison feels like? "But that's in the past. Ryoma Hoshi, the Ultimate Tennis Pro, is no more." He definitely doesn't look, or sound the part. But it looks like he's being perfectly honest. What's there to lie about?
"Ryoma Hoshi?" Shuichi began. "I've seen you in the newspaper before. The tennis player who single-handedly took out the mafia." I bet Koki- WAIT WHAT?! "The paper said he shot them through the head with his tennis skills and iron ball."
"So, you know that much already. So, what do you think of the loser before you who used his talent to kill?" I smiled. "I don't think you're a loser." I took the cigarette he had. "Although, I think you might need to lose this." I put the cigarette in the garbage.
"Y-you might wanna be careful walking up to a killer like me." He stuttered, pulling his hat over his eyes. He turned away from us, possibly trying to hide his face. I seem to have that effect on people.
"You're really good at charming people." Kaede said as we left the game room. "Well, if you have an idea on how people work, it kind of comes naturally."
"Ooh, is this the entrance hall?" Kaede walked through a gateway leading to a foyer-like area. "If this is the entrance hall then that door must be the entrance!" Shuichi reached out his hand. "Wait, Kaede, it might be a trap!"
"Worrying about that won't be necessary."
"EEK! Oh, hello."
He looked at my slightly panicked face. "You wonder, 'who is this?'. Yes... I shall make that clear first. I'm Korekiyo Shinguji, the Ultimate Anthropologist." My eyes lit up. "So you're kind of like me!"
He looked at me, confusion present on his face, er- eyes. "O-oh, yeah. I'm Y/N L/N, the Ultimate Psychologist!" Despite the fact that I couldn't see his mouth, I knew he was smiling. Deviously or genuinely, I can't tell. "Well, you can call me Kiyo." Kaede raised her hand. "Uh... what's anthropology?" Kiyo turned to her. "Anthropology... studies customs, folk tales, songs, and much more. There may even be customs in your daily life, the origins of which you do not know. Like birthdays, or new years celebrations."

Kaede still looked confused. "It's like a study on human origins. Like, why do we blow out candles for our birthday? We both study things about humanity!" Kiyo wrapped his arms around himself. "Our situation is rather... intriguing. What beauty will I be able to witness here?" I tilted my head, half in confusion, half in concern. He laughed. "People are wonderful!" I smirked a bit, but I couldn't hide the concern evident on my face.
"U-uh, Kaede, I don't think the doors will lead anywhere. At least anywhere important." I opened the door to reveal the cage we were trapped in. "I think Kiyo would have told somebody, or simply left, if that weren't the case." Kiyo nodded in agreement. Kaede looked up, down, left, and right, and all she saw was the cage surrounding the school.
"Rise and shine, ursine!" Oh no, they're back. "Wow, I can see why they call it the end wall." One of the bears said. "The end wall?" I looked around. I guess that means that it doesn't really end anywhere. It's like a circle. "There's no exits or entrances, and it can't be climbed or demolished." I saw Kaede take a deep breath and jumped to cover Shuichi's ears. "SOMEONE HELP US!!!" Kaede yelled, making my ears ring. I put down my arms and Shuichi put his hand on my shoulder. "Your reflexes are great and all, but maybe you should use them for yourself."
"Scream all you want. No one can hear you."
"Wait, no one can hear us?" Shuichi questioned, gaining no answer. "Just... one of you! Answer!" None of the bears answered. "Anyways, you can still explore, but please watch your step. There's still construction going on." Monophenie warned. We looked around and saw that there was construction going on. "I think they're renovating an abandoned school." Shuichi assumed.
The bears explained that these things called exisals needed to finish up construction and left. Roaming around outside, we met a guy with magenta hair standing by two benches. "Geez, how did they even make this big wall?" He wondered.
"Well, if we can't escape then-" Shuichi got slapped on the back. "What, are you complaining? Quit complaining and grumbling or it will turn into a habit." Well that's one way of spreading positivity. At least, I think that's what positivity is.
"Besides, this cage is nothing compared to the vastness of the universe!" I looked up. Universe... "Would you happen to be the Ultimate Astronaut by any chance?" He looked at me, his eyes wide. "Yeah, they're good at that kind of thing." Kaede said.
"I-I'm Y/N L/N, the Ultimate Psychologist."
"Yeah, I'm Kaito Momota, luminary of the stars." I examined him. "You're... still in training, right? Since you're still young?"
He shrugged. "Yeah... it's not as cool when you say it like that, though." He put his hands on his hips, proudly. "But I'm the only teenager to pass the exam. Normally, you need a college degree to even take the exam!" Kaede tilted her head. "So... how did you take the exam?"
Kaito put his hand behind his head. "I... had a pretty crafty friend and he made something for me. I got caught, but the higher ups decided they liked me and let me in anyways." He raised a thumbs up. "Limits don't exist unless you set them for yourself. There are no walls you can't get over, same goes for that one."
I'm pretty sure that's illegal.
We waved goodbye to Kaito and found a clearing of sorts, where I saw a tall guy, muscular, with an intense look on his face. Well, you can't judge a book by it's cover. I tapped his shoulder and he looked at me with a shocked expression.
"Huh? Oh! Thank you!" Thank you? "O-oh! Sorry for scaring!" Sorry for scaring me? "Gonta scary-looking. Most people not wanna talk to Gonta when meeting for first time." He smiled this big, adorable smile. "So, like gentlemen, Gonta say thank you. Thank you for talking to Gonta." Me and Kaede looked at each other, both of our eyes saying, "He is absolutely adorable!"
"Oh right, Gonta needs to make introduction! Gonta's name is Gonta Gokuhara. Gonta's talent is Ultimate Entomologist. Gonta wants to become gentleman! Become true gentleman is Gonta's goal."
I grinned. "You're adorable!" His cheeks were dusted pink as he looked away. "R-really? Thank you." I guess he's not used to compliments. That's going to change.
"Sorry for being so scared of you. You're very nice!" Kaede complimented. "Oh, Gonta scary?" Kaede waved her arms in front of her. "No! That's not what I meant-"
"No, is okay." Gonta assured. "Gonta used to it. Gonta called scary since he was kid." A kid? He's an absolute sweetheart. "Kid Gonta bigger than other kids. Other kids scared of Gonta. So kid Gonta play alone. That how Gonta come to like bugs."
"But sometimes, Gonta lose track. One day, Gonta go to forest to find bugs. End up lost..." I leaned forward. "Did they find you?" Gonta nodded. "Yes, took ten years."
...what.
I guess that explains why he speaks like that. "Then... who took care of you?" Kaede asked. Gonta smiled. "Wolves." Yep, definitely explains why he talks like that. "This place strange. Lots of plants, but no bugs." Shuichi raised a brow. "Wait, really? I suppose it's understandable that there's no animals, but no insects? That's strange. Not one bug?"
"YOU LIKE BUGS, TOO?" Gonta loudly questioned abruptly. "Hey, what your favourite bug? What you like about them?" Shuichi was getting a bit scared so I jumped in. "Shuichi said to me earlier that he really likes... golden... stag... beetles." Gonta was silent for a moment. "Oh, okay. That good. No bad person likes bugs." I grinned, nervously.
As we walked away, Shuichi gave a huge sigh of relief. "Thanks for that... how do you know about that anyways?" I looked up, trying to remember. "Oh yeah, one of my classmates in elementary had a necklace of one. He always had a new fact about the golden stags everyday." Kaede wiped sweat from her forehead. "Thought you were gonna die there, Shuichi."
We walked over to the small glass building nearby. When we went inside, we were immediately greeted by this girl with white hair. "Yah-hah! How are ya? My name is Angie Yonaga. I'm the Ultimate Artist!"
"Hello! My name is Y/N L/N, and I'm the Ultimate Psychologist. So you like to draw and paint and stuff?" Angie nodded enthusiastically.
"They're... already friends..." Kaede enunciated. "Yep... I guess it's not a bad thing that they makes friends easily." Shuichi answered.
"You seem quite enthusiastic, considering the situation we're in." Angie laughed. "There's no reason to carry bad thoughts with ya! You gotta live everyday like it's bright, cheery, and fun!" She folded her hands. "So says Atua."
"Atua?"
"The God of my Island, Atua, is always with me, speaking to me with his divine voice." Kaede nodded. "Would it be alright if I could see some of your artwork.?" Angie nodded. "Of course, of course. But in return, will you make an offering?" Me and Kaede tilted our heads. "Offering?" Angie nodded again. "Every Monday and Wednesday, a truck comes to pick up your offering. And when I say offering, I just mean a pint or two of your blood."
Me and Kaede looked at each other nervously. "Uhm... I'm kind of anemic, so I'll pass." I agreed with an affirmative grunt. "I see, what about you then?" She pointed to Shuichi. "Huh? Me?" Angie raised her hands above her head as they were pressed together. "Boys' blood is also an acceptable offering. C'mon, c'mon! It won't hurt one bit!" Even though it didn't look like she was lying, it probably would hurt.
"Ah! Wait a minute!" Shuichi started running around the shrine, Angie laughing while running after him. "Don't run away!" I giggled a bit once Shuichi ran out of the shrine.
"It was nice meeting you!" I yelled as I was pulled away by Kaede. "That girl... is a bit crazy." Kaede remarked. "A BIT? She chased me around with a scalpel or something!" I counted each person we've met with my fingers. "We need to meet one more person."
We walked over to a small building in front of the school. "So... I'm guessing... this is the dorms." I said as I read the word dormitory all over the building. We walked inside and I saw a girl in a maid outfit. "Hello! I'm guessing you're the Ultimate Maid?"
"Yes. My name is Kirumi Tojo." She looked around, curiously. "What was the motive for all of this? If they plan to hold us for ransom, the facilities would be unnecessary, and they haven't hurt us yet so they seem like they would rather care for us."
She was right. There are 17 Ultimates in one place, but they didn't tell us why. Rantaro doesn't even remember his Ultimate Talent, so it's not because of our talents. At least not specifically.
"Oh, Kirumi Tojo? I've heard of you before!" Of course you have, Shuichi. "An Ultimate with incredible intellect and strength, working as a private maid. I heard her work is so perfect, she can complete any request given to her."
Hm, impressive.
"Anyways, what do you plan on doing now?" Kirumi asked. "Well... I don't know. Have any ideas, Kirumi?" Kirumi shook her head. "I hold no opinions or desires of which to speak. As a maid, my only desire is to fulfill the desires of others." Even in a situation like this, she still wants to fulfill everyone else's needs.
I looked around at the dormitory. I guess... This is where we're staying for the time being.

The Ruins of Magincia
They say all things end in time, but the exalted City of Magi would’ve begged to differ. Yet when an attempted coup goes wrong, the city finds itself brought to the very brink of destruction. Back on Earth, Millie McArthur is a pregnant out-of-work mechanic struggling with the prospect of moving back in with her parents after leaving her unfaithful fiancé. That is until she finds herself just one of the hundreds that have been shanghaied by the callous artificial constructs still manning the ruins of Magincia. All while keeping herself, and her son, alive. Is the miracle of magic really enough to make up for all the pain? The Ruins of Magincia is a dark fantasy that's heavy on the drama (LitRPG aspects are very light). Chapter lengths can be anywhere from 7k-12k and there's no current release schedule as I'm focusing on wrapping up volume one.

In Another World with Doraemon's 4D Pocket
Cary found himself awoken in a foreign land with what he thought was a nondescript white pouch. Reaching into the white pouch, he was able to pull out an assortment of gadgets that he recognized to be from his favorite childhood show, Doraemon. With the thousands of mischievous, powerful gadgets inside the 4D pocket, Cary will take on this new world by storm! Something ridiculous I will write purely for fun alongside my main story Giantslayer As a disclaimer, I may nerf some of the most broken gadgets or even not use them at all. Doraemon was insane for a children manga (e.g. Doraemon canonically has a nuclear bomb inside his 4D pocket), some of the gadgets have the potential to end this story in one chapter. The most important factor is fun so anything that completely breaks the story might not be mentioned at all (or we will pretend they do not exist in the 4D pocket). We may find uses for those broken gadgets in the future, though. I am not particularly good at writing comedy. There will of course be funny moments (at least I hope they are funny) but everyone in this story will actually behave in a realistic(?) and serious manner. I want the serious world to contrast with some of the wacky gadgets that are available.
