《You Saw Right Through Me》The Bugs Turn Against Us

I sighed and looked to the ground. I thought I had already run out of tears... I guess not. I looked at Tsumugi and hugged her. She sobbed into my chest as I silently cried as well.
But I had no energy to do anything else. Tears were just... falling. It hurt to do anything else. My throat was sore, my body ached, my eyes burned, my head was spinning.
I looked at Kokichi. His face was... neutral. I could see no emotion in his eyes.
"Kokichi, what exactly was the motive?" Shuichi asked. "Oh, why don't you let Gonta explain that!" Monokuma pulled up a laptop and went to the data from the killing game simulator. "There you go! Alter Ego Gonta is now complete!" He held up the laptop with Gonta's avatar shown on screen.
"Is that Gonta?" Both of them said at the same time. They seem to have the same personality, so I'm guessing it really was his alter ego.
"So why did Gonta kill Miu?"
"Gonta just want to save everyone. He wanted to save everyone."
"What do you mean?
"Gonta think for a long time on how can Gonta be useful for everyone. Gonta not smart enough to help with trials. Gonta strong but no can fight exisals. Gonta feel frustrated because Gonta could no do anything."
"Gonta understand how this Gonta feels."
"Technically they are the same person so that's why." Kiibo said.
"So... why did you kill Miu?" I asked.
Kokichi explained. "You remember the card key?" I nodded. "Didn't I take that?"
"Yep, but I already used it... and I saw the outside world. That's when I found out about Miu's plan. If I combine the two, then I would be able to save everyone. So that's when I went to Monokuma. I used the outside world as a motive for the killing game." Monokuma explained that the card key was also a chance to see the outside world.
"And the Flashback Light has our forgotten memories of the outside world." Kokichi said. "I knew where the Flashback Light was, so I showed it to Gonta. I was going to show it to Y/N, but Kaito didn't let me. I only trusted them with the secret of the outside world.

Alter Ego Gonta spoke up. "Kokichi take Gonta to forest. We found Flashback Light there. And there, Gonta remember secret of outside world. But that just confuse Gonta more about what to do. What can Gonta do to save everyone? Gonta no could think of anything." "So I told him." Kokichi said. "He should just put everyone out of their misery."
"Yes, Kokichi tell Gonta to not ki-" "And Gonta thought that was best because it was hell in here and out there." Kokichi interrupted. Wait, what was he about to say? "So... Gonta took on the dirty work for us." Kokichi said. "Shouldn't... shouldn't we appreciate him more?!"
"Wait, I still don't understand what's happening." Kaito said.
"Yeah, what exactly did you mean by it's hell outside?" Shuichi asked.
"Gonta... Gonta no can tell you! Then everyone... will end up like Gonta. Everyone... despair." Kokichi nodded. "I know it. It's a despair that makes you want to die. A despair that makes you want to put everyone out of their misery."
I knew I was the only one who could do this... so I went up to Kokichi and hugged him. After a few minutes I stepped back. "So, can you explain a little of... what happened?" He told us that he hid Gonta where Miu wouldn't be able to see him, and when it was time to strike... he did.
Both Gontas kept apologising, even if it wasn't their fault.
"I know you must think that I should've done it... that I should've been the one to kill Miu." Kokichi said. "But when I learned Miu was targeting me, I thought she had a way for me not to fight back, so I didn't do it myself! If I could, I would've!" Kaito was about to yell at Kokichi when-
"No... it's okay." Gonta assured. "So please... stop blaming Kokichi." Kokichi's tear stained face looked at Gonta. "Gonta... you..."
"How nice can you be, Gonta?" Tsumugi asked while in tears. "You really are... stupid sometimes." I sniffed and wiped away my tears, despite the fact that more came flooding in.

"You're right... Someone as stupid as Gonta could never be gentleman-" I gripped him by the shoulders. "No! You are the greatest, kindest, strongest, and sweetest gentleman I know! Nobody can compare to you Gonta!"
"So are we done yet?" We all turned to Monokuma. "Let's just get this started already." Kokichi wiped his tears. "N-no, if you're going to punish Gonta... punish me, too!" I looked at him. He was staring straight forward...
"Wait, no." I stood in front of Kokichi, my hands on his cheeks. "It's already bad enough that we're losing Gonta. I would... I don't know what I would do... I don't know what to do."
What happens after this? It felt so hopeless.
"No! I'm prepared for it! If you're going to execute Gonta, then I-" "It's okay, Kokichi." We looked at Alter Ego. "Let Gonta sacrifice himself... for everyone's sake." The real Gonta walked up to me and held my hands in his large palms.
"Maybe... Y/N wants something from Gonta?" I felt something fall into my hands as he lifted his own.
Suddenly, Kokichi yelled. "No! I don't want this! Don't go, Gonta!" I held Kokichi in my arms, his hand reached out for Gonta as he seemed to get further and further away. "Kokichi, don't cry." Alter Ego said. Real Gonta... wasn't crying because he was about to die. "Gonta no could protect anyone!"
"Gonta.. you... you can't cry either!" Kokichi sobbed.
"I love you all." I looked up at Gonta. Those.. are really going to be his last words. The words were chanted as we all were slowly broken by each syllable. "IT'S PUNISHMENT TIME!!"
Gonta was pulled away from us, and I reached out but was stopped by Kaito.
Gonta was chained to a pole in a Wild West scene, and Monokuma walked in with a cowboy hat and gun. He shot the gun and hundreds of bees came and swarmed Gonta, leaving him with many bee stings. Suddenly, a giant mosquito came out of Monophanie's stomach, killing the remaining Monokubs. I saw the mosquito eye Gonta and turned around into Kaito's chest.
When I dared to look back, I saw the pole Gonta was chained to... on fire.
I finally fell to my knees, pain surging through my body until my heart felt like it was about to burst. I saw the pole slowly get burnt to a crisp, as tears rolled down my cheeks. All who were able to cry but Maki were in tears. "Kokichi, can you now tell us? What is the secret to the outside world?"
Kokichi was silent. "I don't... want to..." He suddenly looked up. "I don't want to, stupid head!" I tilted my head and saw his famous side glance.
"Aw man, did you fall for that fake crying? I would never cry for Gonta!" He continued speaking as I stared at the burning pole. Then, my ears perked up when I heard, "You're alone, and you always will be."
I stood up and gripped him by the shoulders. "You know what, Kokichi?!" Everyone was expecting me to start yelling at him, but I got really close to his ear, and whispered. "Crying... doesn't make you weak."
I pulled back and he began silently crying into my chest, although he hid it from the others. I stroked his hair as everyone looked at me.
Kaito suddenly fell to the ground. "Kaito!" Maki knelt down next to him. Oh no.
Kokichi backed away, allowing me to run over next to him and gently opened his mouth. I pulled out a handkerchief and gave it to him. "Maki, Shuichi, get him to the washroom!" But before they could do so, he coughed up blood.
"Kaito!"
"Maki, help me bring him to the washroom. Shuichi, you know where my research lab is, get a water bottle!"
