《You Saw Right Through Me》Ending the Killing Game?

We all dismissed the message as a prank and because we didn't have a Flashback Light, we all went back to our rooms.
But before I could enter mine, I heard Shuichi ask me to come to his room. I went in and he patted the area next to him on his bed. I sat down next to him. "What did you wanna talk about?"
"It's about Kokichi. Do you really think we should dismiss the message as a prank?" I leaned on Shuichi's headboard. "As much as I would love to, I don't think we should." Just then, we heard a knock at the door. Shuichi went to open it and we saw Maki in the doorway.
"Oh, Y/N, you're here. Kaito just asked me to see his research lab, and I want you two to come." We both nodded and followed Maki to her research lab.
"Oh, Shuichi you came, too." Kaito said once we arrived. I looked at the two back and forth. This is about the trial yesterday, isn't it? Kaito looked around the room, asking Maki about different weapons. "What's the suitcase over there?" I looked to where he was pointing and saw a silver suitcase on a shelf near a training unit. "Why don't you open it and find out?" Maki told him.
He walked over to the suitcase and opened it, revealing parts for a crossbow. "Can you teach me how to put it together?" He asked Maki. She nodded and leaned over his shoulder, telling him where to put what.
Shuichi and I watched, and I smiled. Maki was finally comfortable with talking to other people.
Once Kaito finished the crossbow, he held it up. "Whoa, this is so cool!" Maki nodded. "Right. To disassemble it, you just need to do the steps backwards." This seemed to surprise Kaito. "U-uh, I'm suddenly feeling sick again, so I'll have to go." He quickly left the room. I sighed and followed him, just in case he actually was feeling sick.
Once you and Kaito left the research lab, Maki turned to Shuichi. "You know why I called you here, right?" He nodded, looking to the floor. "So Kaito and I would make up, right?"
She leaned on the wall. "He's just stubborn, and you don't think you need to apologise, right?" Shuichi looked up at her. "Well, if I didn't reveal the truth, then we all would've died!" Maki agreed, but she still wanted Kaito and Shuichi to at least speak to each other again.
"I brought Y/N because.. they're better with this kind of thing. They know people's feelings and minds, unlike me." She looked up at Shuichi. "I just... would rather you guys talk to each other again."
Meanwhile, you and Kaito were outside, and he was vomiting up blood in his hand. "We have to go to the washroom!" You said. In pure desperation, you lifted Kaito on your back and sprinted back to the school.
"Aren't I heavy?" He asked you. You shook your head. "Although, that could be the adrenaline speaking."
You put him down in front of the washroom sink and he continued vomiting blood, staining the sink pink. You quickly ran to your research lab and grabbed a water bottle. We have to get outta here fast. Kaito needs medical help. You walked into the washroom and gave Kaito the water bottle.
He took a long sip, emptying half of the water bottle.
"Now, what's the deal between you and Shuichi?" He looked at you and sighed. "I'm just... frustrated, is all." You tilted your head. "We're all upset about Gonta, so why are you taking it out on Shuichi?" He shrugged. "I'm not sure... it's not like I think it's his fault." You sighed and straightened up.

You helped Kaito go to his room. You haven't seen Kokichi for the whole day now. You wondered what he was up to.
I woke up the next morning and went to the dining hall. Everyone was there, except for Kokichi. "I bet you're worried about Kokichi." Maki assumed. "Don't worry, we all are." I doubt it's for the same reason as me. I sat down at the table. "So, Kaito... What exactly was the plan you mentioned yesterday?"
"Like I said, I'm gonna get you guys outta here, but to do that, I need your help." Kaito answered. "And what exactly would this help be?" I asked.
He pressed his fist together and smiled. "Well, we're going to fight Monokuma!" We all looked at him, concerned. "W-what?" Shuichi and I looked at each other. "Kaito... we don't really have anyone that can fight... like Gonta and Tenko..." Tsumugi pointed out. "I can." We all faced Maki. "It may sound strange coming from an assassin, but I'm sick of all this killing."
"The Monokubs are gone, so the exisals can't protect Monokuma anymore!" Kaito said. "But we don't know what Monokuma has planned... he may not have the exisals anymore, but he still has the academy under his control." Tsumugi remembered. "Well, we should just try anyway!"
We planned to meet up in the gym at nighttime. The exisals couldn't be controlled by anyone so we should be fine... but I still have a weird feeling about this. And we haven't seen Kokichi yet, either. Where was he? Sure the school is big, but... "Ugh, I need to clear my head."
I went down to the library, like usual, but I found something rather peculiar.
On the gym door's hinges were purple hairs. None of us have been in the gym recently, so how would I not notice this long before? I held the strand close to my face and examined it. "This is Kokichi's." I mumbled.
What was he doing in the gym? I didn't think much of it and went down to the library. After I finished a few chapters of one of the books in the library, I heard the ding to signal that nighttime started... but Monokuma wasn't on the monitor. "That's... odd."
I got up and made my way to the gym, where everyone was waiting. There was a pile of weapons from Maki's research lab in the middle of the gym.
While we were talking, I heard a familiar laugh. "What a coinkydink! I was planning on ending the killing game, too!" We turned around and saw the seemingly missing boy before us: Kokichi.
I waved slightly and he waved back, but I put my hand behind my back immediately. I saw the cart he was pushing with hammers and... a bomb. I bit my lip as everyone was panicking over the fact that Kokichi had brought a weapon of destruction in our midst. "Now, if you don't wanna get blown to pieces, I'd recommend you do as I say." Kokichi threatened.
He explained that he was planning to kill everyone but two people, including himself, and end the killing game. I squinted my eyes. The side glance... I pulled the nearest person towards me, which happened to be Kaito and whispered. "He's lying."
Kaito looked at me and mouthed. "Are you sure?" I nodded and looked at Kokichi. "None of us are going to sacrifice everyone, Kokichi."
He giggled. "I knew you wouldn't! I wanted to see how determined you were to end this killing game! So let's work together. We can use the Ultimate Anti-Monokuma Weapons!" My eyes travelled to the cart he was pushing. Was he referring to the hammers? Kokichi motioned for me to come over and see.

I knelt down next to the cart. "Did Miu make these?" He nodded. "You catch on quick, Mind Reader! They're called Electrohammers! They're made to disabled any electronic machine that comes into contact." I slowly pulled Kiibo away.
I put my hand on my arm as everyone was questioning if Kokichi was telling the truth or not. I knew he wasn't... but I feel like this is part of some plan.
"If Miu invented these, why didn't she use them immediately?" Shuichi asked. Kokichi put a finger over his mouth. "That's your fault. When I told her these would be used against the exisals and we'd all work together, she doubted us and said that someone would betray us. And kill. But if it were to work out, I was told to come to her and she would do anything to thank me."
I looked at Kokichi. He was staring straight ahead... Miu really didn't trust anyone, did she? "She thought would betray us. Although, the exisals were still moving at the time, so I don't blame her for being paranoid. But... she was afraid to trust you guys." I looked at the ground.
I got up and left. "Where are you going?" Shuichi asked. "I'm thinking things over." But I was barely out of the gym when I heard quick footsteps run across the floor.
I opened the door and saw Maki choking Kokichi. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but I did hear Kaito yell, "Maki Roll, cut it out! If you kill him, you'll get killed, too!" Maki let Kokichi go and he fell to the floor, gasping for breath. I ran over next to him. "You've really gotta stop giving Maki the urge to choke you before you get killed." He looked up at me and smirked. "Right, right."
"You guys may not think like it, but I see you all as my friends." Kokichi admitted. He was staring straight forward at everyone. I bit my lip.
"I won't interfere anymore, so please... walk the path you believe in." I helped him up and led him to the gym exit. "Come on, we're gonna bring you to your room, okay?" He nodded as he staggered next to me, holding onto my arm.
I put him down on his bed gently. "Your breathing still hasn't steadied." I noticed. I put my hand on his back and told him to follow my breathing. Eventually, he had a normal breathing pattern. I brought one of my knees to my chest. "What exactly is your plan, anyways?"
He told me his plan and I widened my eyes. "But you might-" "Don't worry about it, Y/N." He gave me a peck on the cheek. My cheeks felt hot and I covered the area he kissed with my hand. "Hey, all the guys wanna do it, I know it."
I smiled and got up. "I guess I should catch up with the others then.
I got to the underground tunnel and noticed all the traps were disabled. "I guess the Electrohammers worked." I said to myself. Eventually, I found the others.
"Hey, Y/N!" Himiko greeted me. I waved and looked at the door with the electro barrier. Kaito smashed the control panel with the Electrohammer and the barrier came down. Everyone pitched in and opened the door... and revealed the world we thought we were so excited for.
I averted my eyes to the wall as everyone stared at the outside world in disbelief. I remembered what Kokichi told me and immediately shut the door.
"Don't breathe that in!" I yelled. I looked at everyone, who were already dazy from inhaling the air. I was further away from the door, so I didn't really inhale much. I helped some up, while I supported others. Kokichi, now would be a good time to appear.
As if on queue, Kokichi came and giggled. "Good morning! How are you guys feeling? Great? Of course not, now that you know the secret of the outside world!" He looked at my neutral face and gave a subtle wink. I nodded slightly and helped Shuichi up. "What are you talking about?"
"Oh yeah." Kokichi began. "Let me explain. Once the incident with the meteorites happened, the leaders of every nation knew we couldn't escape the end of the world. The leaders of every nation wanted to prevent the extinction of the human race. So they decided to implement a plan. The Gopher Project. A plan to place talented humans in a spaceship in order to escape the world's end so that they may find another planet where they can preserve humankind. The Gopher Project wasn't implemented to save the human race, but rather, to salvage it. 17 young, talented high schoolers were chosen to be part of the Gopher Project. These Adams and Eves of the new world were called Ultimate students. But the 17 students refused to partake in the plan. Well it's obvious why they wouldn't. Surviving alone... families and friends left to die. That's just hell right there. So then, the 17 students decided to flee from the project. They erased their memories to forget their Ultimate talents... to become normal students."
He looked at me. "I'm not sure why you didn't remember doing this, but maybe it was because you didn't do it at the same time as the rest of us. But it was around that time a certain cult organisation rose in power. Those who believed in the End of Days were convinced humans deserved the meteorite's wrath. When they discovered the Gofer Project, they planned to sabotage the plans. That's when the Ultimate Hunt began. The Ultimate Hunt affected all of society. Those influenced by it searched for the 17 students. As a countermeasure, the organisation responsible for the Gofer Project spread misinformation that 16 students had died. Y/N was actually taken by the Ultimate Hunt... because of their family."
My eyes widened. "W-what...?" Kokichi smiled. "Your family thought it was your fault that all of this was happening, so they turned you in. That's why you weren't part of that funeral. They can't pretend you died if you were in the Ultimate Hunt's possession. Then the Ultimate Hunt would believe that the rest of us were alive, too. I bet you wanna know the reason you felt a connection with Rantaro... it's because he saved you." My shoulders dropped. Rantaro... saved me? "Of course, the Ultimate Hunt didn't know Rantaro had saved you. Angie made something similar to the wax effigies to make it look like your body, and the Ultimate Hunt thought you had died."
"With this, they were able to quell the Ultimate Hunt, and shelter the now 17 students, and carry out the Gofer project. The Ark's launch succeeded, despite the meteorites and destruction of earth. The students were sent off to space as humanity's last survivors. So this is just one big spaceship colony!" I bit my lip. That's what this all is?
"However, the Gofer Project made a terrible oversight. Someone terrible was one of the chosen 17 to be one of humanity's last survivors. And I was the leader of that cult organisation." My ears began ringing. Everyone I loved... Everyone I thought loved me... they were gone.
"I'll give you evidence that I'm the mastermind, since none of you will believe me." Kokichi pulled out a remote and fiddled with it, making the exisals appear. "I thought only the Monokubs could control the exisals!" Kiibo said. "Well, it's different for me. You know, since I'm the mastermind." Kokichi looked at us with a cocky glare. "You mad?"
Kaito charged at the exisals. "Kaito!" Maki, Shuichi, and I yelled at the same time. But it was too late. Kaito's limp body was lifted by the exisals. "Don't worry, he's not dead." Kokichi assured.
Give... Kaito... BACK!" Maki stepped forward, but Shuichi stopped her. "Maki, no!" She backed down as Kokichi giggled. "Good work, Ultimate Detective! Too bad your talent is useless now."
