《You Saw Right Through Me》Meeting Kiyo's Sister

You smiled as you watched your friends investigate. "I better not see them here anytime soon. Or rather, they better not see me." You saw Rantaro wince and touch the back of his head. You floated closer to him and hugged him from behind. "Thanks...?" You moved back. "He... wasn't supposed to feel that." You whispered under your breath.
Suddenly, Kokichi flopped onto your bed. You put your hand on his back and whispered. "Hey, chin up. Wallowing in despair won't help anyone." He lifted his head and looked around. Wait... did he hear that?
You floated out of the room and looked at the dormitories. "Ooh, I can see what the other dorms look like!" You were about to go into Miu's, but then stopped. "Actually... I don't wanna know what's in there." You went to everyone's rooms, and they were generally pretty normal, with the occasional hoard of food, or random items most likely from their research labs. "Kirumi has a lot of cleaning supplies." You muttered to yourself when you checked out her room.
You heard something from the hall, which was odd because you weren't supposed to be able to hear anything the living did. You looked out into the hall and saw someone floating behind Kiyo. "Who's that..?" You muttered.
Kiyo went into your room and wrote something on the board. You tapped the shoulder of the person following him, startling them. "O-oh, my apologies. I didn't know someone else was here." She said once she turned around. You tilted your head. "I feel like I've seen you before." She nodded. "You have. You know Korekiyo? Of course you do." You nodded. That didn't really answer my question.
"Well, I'm his sister." Your eyes widened, but your eyebrows lowered. "You're... who's sister?" You asked while looking down. "Korekiyo's." You clenched your fist. "You... don't you... feel any remorse?" She tilted her head as if she did nothing wrong. "I'm not sure what you're talking about." You looked up and suddenly began yelling. "YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID! HE WANTED TO EMBRACE YOU WHEN HE DIED!" She moved back, but you moved closer.

"I-I promise, it was that bear!" You gritted your teeth. "Oh, what happened to always staying calm? HM?! How was it Monokuma? Did he threaten your life?" You spat. She chuckled. "For a moment there, I thought he told you." You moved back. "W-What are you talking about?" She smiled and leaned against the wall. But, she was silent.
A few minutes later, when she was about to follow Kiyo outside your bedroom, you flew up to her and pinned her against the wall. "As much as I'd like to stay away from a germ like you, I'd like to know what. You're. Talking about." She was backed up against the wall and could only move into it, which would put her in a worse situation. "Fine."
"When I had fallen ill, Korekiyo was the one who took care of me. As a reward, I decided to-" "Stop, you don't have to say that part." You interrupted, lifting your hand. "Alright. Well, my status as older sister made him believe that he had to do what I said, and mother and father had no say in this because they did not know. He had this strange masochistic behaviour, so I decided to take advantage of that."
You moved back, accidentally going through Kiyo. "Satisfied?" She asked, irritated. You nodded and turned around. "One more thing... stay away from Kiyo." And with that, you floated outside of the room. You took a deep breath, despite the fact that you didn't really need oxygen. You floated back inside and saw that the people who were living... were looking at the ground.
"Don't be gloomy! Chin up and move forward!" You said, hoping that they'd hear you. They all looked up and looked around. You smiled and floated out of the room, where you saw Kiyo's sister. "Look," You floated next to her. "You can help me, instead of... that." She looked at you confused and sighed. "I don't have much of a choice." You smiled and landed on the ground.

"HHEEEK!!" Everyone that was in your room had just walked through you. "Yeah, that's rather common." Kiyo's sister explained. You nodded and pushed off the ground to follow everyone to the Shrine of Judgement. You couldn't hear what Maki said, but Kokichi slowed down and you saw his eyes get glossy as he looked down. You flew under him so you could see his face. You caressed his cheeks and smiled. "What'd I say? Chin up and move forward!"

A Fractal Divide
Lesivar is a city in ascendancy. With recent innovations in magical crafting, the common people are experiencing a boom in comfort and wealth. The nobility, long used to being the stewards of knowledge and power, struggle to adapt to the new world in which they find themselves. A precarious balance has been maintained throughout, but forces stir beneath the surface threatening to send the city spiraling into chaos. This is my first attempt at writing anything longer than a short story, and I welcome any feedback or corrections. I'm posting this as I write, with each chapter going live upon completion. My current pace is about a chapter a day, which I expect to take my through the end of November. From there, I'm shooting for a chapter every two-three days until the book is completed, along with an editing pass of what is already up. I'm planning on three POV characters with unique insight into the story as it unfolds. Each chapter will contain only one POV. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Sustaining the King's Life
On a secluded mountain situated upon a kingdom known as Feuersturm, resides a seemingly trifling cabin with an unlikely duo as its inhabitant—a witch, and her apprentice who presumably comes from a clan sought after by slave traders. Faustina is a sixteen-year-old girl who fled the slave market with the help of a sickly witch named Eula, who later on trained her as an apprentice for the span of seven years. Plagued with a mysterious disease for several years, Eula died despite the efforts Faustina had exerted to cure her; in her last breath, she left an odd request behind. "Sustain the king's life. This is your duty. Do not adhere to the prophecy." To which the odd plea shadowed a bizarre series of events, a consequential sentence, similar to that of a premonition. The same night the phrase was muttered, the chain of events followed: A warlock's intrusion to their home, with a peculiar yearning to resurrect Eula from the dead... and the king himself, asking for Faustina’s aid. ** 1-2 chapters a day (GMT+8) ** (The artwork belongs to me.
