《You Saw Right Through Me》Chiaki

Kokichi was in a forest of cherry blossoms, the grass greener than any he had ever seen. "Kokichi!" He turned around and saw you running towards him, your warm smile on your face. "Hey Y/N!" He blinked and you were gone, as well as the forest. He was floating around in darkness. "Kokichi?" He turned around and saw your dead body floating there, you empty eye sockets seeming to stare right at him. "Y/N... Y/N!" You slowly started to fade away as he stroked the air to get to you. Tsumugi covered your eyes and put her finger over her mouth. "They're fine! All you have to do is lie to yourself."
Kokichi gasped and shot up in his bed. "Kokichi! You're finally up!" Himiko ran up to his bunk. "You're really sweaty. Are you okay?" He nodded and wiped the sweat off his forehead with his arm. Shuichi walked over and looked down at Kokichi's hands. He was fidgeting with the ring you gave him, as his hands shook.
"Did you have a dream about Y/N?" Kokichi looked up and shook his head. "Nah! It was just really hot, that's all!" Shuichi nodded and walked out of the room. "Kirumi and Teruteru made breakfast." Kokichi tilted his head. Teruteru?
He got up and walked to the kitchen, where there was omurice on the table once again, but messages written in ketchup. Kokichi sat down and saw that his message was a simple heart with his name at the bottom.
After breakfast, everyone gathered in the room. Kyoko and Togami came in carrying a laptop. "While investigating the ruins within the end wall, we found this damaged laptop. Kazuichi fixed it and found that there was a corrupt file. Would you know what he was talking about?" Shuihci's eyes lit up. "Rantaro's video message!"

Everyone gathered around the computer and pressed play. The video played as it did before. "Oh, this is where it glitched!" Himiko said. Everyone listened intently as the video played on.
The video stopped. Rantaro put his hand over his mouth. "W-what...? I don't remember..." He stepped back and bumped into the bunk bed.
Kyoko wrote something down in her notebook. "Rantaro, are you alright?" His wide eyes fixed themselves on the floor. He slowly nodded as his legs gave in and he sat on the bed. Togami turned around and walked towards the door. "Hajime and Nagito will be stopping by later."
Everyone nodded as he and Kyoko left the room. "Rantaro, are you really alright?" Kirumi asked. Suddenly, there was another flash of light and saw a cafeteria. Everyone except for Tsumugi was there, eating and talking.
The flash of light faded and everyone looked at the ground. "W-what is going on?" Tenko asked herself. "Why are we facing this?" Maki shook her head. "I don't know, but all our memories seem to be related to Y/N."
You sat at the top of one of the bunk beds. You looked over at the short haired girl you had found near a boy with a bulky ahoge. "Chiaki, did you go through a killing game?" She looked up and swayed her head from side to side. "More or less."
You nodded and looked at your friends. "Did the people participating lose their memory?" She nodded. "The Future Foundation put them through it so that they would find hope. They used to be Remnants of Despair." You hummed.
"Does any of them remember being a Remnant of Despair?" Chiaki nodded. "After the killing game, they remembered they were. Maybe that's why your friends are experiencing these flashbacks? Because the killing game is over?"

You crossed you arms and looked at the ceiling. "Well, that's a possibility. But your friends were in a virtual world that was supposed to make them forget. My friends were in the real world." You sighed and leaned on the wall. "If only I could ask Tsumugi. Not that I really want to talk to her."
You let yourself fall through the wall and land in the next room. There, Peko and Fuyuhiko were reviewing plans on reverting other Remnants of Despair back to hope. "Is it just me, or are they really close? Like, not on a friends level." Chiaki nodded and landed on the ground. "They have known each other since they were kids."
"Kaede, please..."
"Come on, Shuichi, stop being such a downer!"
"Hm... that makes sense." You rubbed your eyes and went through the ceiling. You saw a familiar boy with his hand on his chin.
"Did... Togami gain weight in a matter of minutes?!" You asked. Chiaki shook her head. "That's the Ultimate Imposter. He dresses up as other people since he can't remember his real name." You hummed again. You blinked and saw Maki with her hand on her chin. After you blinked again, it turned back into the Ultimate Imposter.
There were two girls, one with red hair and another with blonde. Their heights were very different, but you could tell that so were their personalities. "This is Mahiru and Hiyoko. They're really close, but in all honesty, the only person close to Hiyoko is Mahiru." You gave a thumbs up to Chiaki and blinked. You saw Tenko and Himiko instead of Hiyoko and Mahiru.
"You're so amazing, Himiko!" Tenko exclaimed.
You smiled and fell through the floor.
"This is a fun way to get around." You said. You were in a gym, and there was a large muscular guy, and a girl with a white top. "This is Akane and Nekomaru. They always train together." You smiled as the two laughed.
"Gonta needs to train to be stronger! Rantaro does too!"
"Whatever you say Gonta. But, um, I don't think this training equipment is sized for you."
A soft sigh left your lips and you followed Chiaki to another room.
"This is Gundam and Sonia. They're really close, and Kazuichi's normally here too, but he's probably busy." You stared at Gundam and Sonia for a while.
"How divine!"
"Indeed, humans are quite divine."
You turned around and went to another room.
Mikan and Ibuki were sitting together, Ibuki playing the guitar. You blinked and saw you playing guitar and singing while Kokichi listened. You stepped back and covered your mouth. "Y/N, are you alright?" Chiaki asked. You took a shaky breath and nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine... just... saw something."
You pushed off the ground and flew through a wall. Chiaki followed. "Where's your friend, by the way?" She asked you. You looked back at her. "She.. uh.. disappeared. I don't know exactly what makes ghosts like us disappear, but I'm scared that I might and I won't be able to see my friends again."
Chiaki put a comforting hand on your shoulder. "You assumed you'd disappear when your job is done? I'm sure your job will never be over." You smiled and nodded, placing your hand on Chiaki's. "Thanks."

Immovable Mage
What do you call a mage incapable of casting spells? In this story, we usually call him Terry. When the boy is accepted into Arcana Academy, his talent in the pillars of mana foundation awes everyone. All the bigger is the eventual disappointment when Terry turns out to be an utter failure at spellwork. Diagnosis? Major aspect impairment. No cure. Ever. Faced with expulsion, Terry is blessed with the unexpected kindness of others. Terry loses his spot in the Academy but in exchange, he finds a home with a family. Terry starts to train as a pure mana cultivator but never stops looking for his own path as a mage – day after day, season after season, always searching for compatible spellwork… Until finally, Terry’s perseverance earns him a single spell – the only spell he will ever be able to cast. Disclaimers: Chapter Frequency: I aim for one chapter a week. Chapter Length: I try to keep chapters between 3000 and 6000 words. Binge Preference: I plan for 30 chapters per arc. If you want to binge a complete arc, then that is the number to wait for. I will also add a line to chapters indicating the beginning and end of an arc. Advanced Access: I have created a patreon page with early access to four chapters for patrons. What to Expect: Progression fantasy with a western fantasy setting and with eastern fantasy elements. A main character that is forced to explore a very narrow path of magic due to a permanent condition. A main character that is a part of a larger cast. A main character that is growing but won't become the strongest around anytime soon. A story following a single main character but with introduction or theme setting scenes without the main character. What Not to Expect: Edgy grimdark characters – I will never write a sexual violence scene or gory descriptions of torture. I hate reading it and I would hate writing it even more. Romance – romantic relationships will never be the focus of the story and only appear in the background. The main character is preoccupied with other stuff. Other forms of relationships (family, friends, companions) play a bigger role. Cover: The cover art was commisioned from redditor Linh-Nguyen87. The font is alita brush by Inovatype Typefoundry. Overview: 001–030 Arc 1, Cultivating Perseverance: complete. 031–060 Arc 2, Undying Defiance: complete. 061–090 Arc 3, Unyielding Fury: scheduled for publishing. 091–120 Arc 4, Savage Hope: scheduled for publishing. 121–150 Arc 5, Self-Made Fate: first draft in progress. 151–180 Arc 6, Heretic Style: sketching in progress. Further Arcs are still in the sketching and idea collection phase.
