《You Saw Right Through Me》Your Job

You helped Genesis put her clothes on the next morning, as Ryoma, Nekomaru, and Akane went on a mission together. "Oh Y/N~" You turned your head as Kokichi kissed your cheek. "I'm off today, so can we hang out?"
"Alright. You can get to know Genesis." You pointed at Kokichi, making Genesis turn her attention to him. "This is-" "Their boyfriend." You felt your face get hot as you hit Kokichi's shoulder. "This is Kokichi."
Kokichi rubbed his shoulder as he pouted. "You're so mean, Y/N." "Mhm." You buttoned Genesis' shirt as she continued to stare at Kokichi. "Hey Y/N." She began. "At your wedding, can I be the flower girl?" Kokichi grinned as you froze, your face getting hotter and hotter by the second. "U-um, sure!" She smiled and let you continue helping her put on her outfit.
"There." You said. "Kokichi, can you help her brush her hair, I promised Himiko I'd help her with her magic tricks."
"You got it, babe!"
"STOP!"
"Alright, alright, just make sure that Himiko doesn't cut you in half."
"Right, right."
Genesis looked back and forth at the two of you talking and watched as you left the room. "Y/N's very nice." She said. Kokichi smiled as he pulled out a brush to comb her hair. "They are, aren't they?" He lifted a small amount of Genesis' hair and saw the split ends. "Hey, do ya want me to cut these?"
He showed her the ends of her hair and she nodded. "Yes please." Kokichi grinned and grabbed scissors from the side table.
With Himiko, you stopped in your tracks, making Himiko look back at you. "Is something wrong?" "I feel like something sharp is in Kokichi's hand." You put down the "sorcery books" Himiko asked you to carry and dashed to the room.
"Kokichi!"
Him and Genesis looked at you as you eyed the scissors getting close to the ends of Genesis' hair. You sighed and straightened. "Sorry, I just... never mind." You sat down next to Kokichi as he slowly began snipping off the ends of Genesis' hair.
"Yeah, just like that, just make sure it's straight."
"Like this?"
"Yep! Just..."
You put your hand over Kokichi's, helping him cut in a straight line. "There you go. All done!" Genesis looked at her hair and grinned. "It looks good!" You smiled and got up. "Anyways, Ryoma and the others should be coming back now. I'll go to see if they're alright."
Genesis looked at her hair. "Y/N's very caring, aren't they?" Kokichi put his arms behind his head. "It's not really a bad thing, but they really need to learn to care for themselves some time." She looked at the purple haired teenager. "You care about them, don't you?"
Kokichi crossed his arms. "The Supreme Leader doesn't need to ca-" "You seem like you care about them." Kokichi pouted like a child and looked away from her. "Shut up."

You came back inside with a box of cigarettes and Ryoma following you. "Cheese louise, Ryoma, you've gotta cut this out." "Sorry." You smiled and knelt down in front of him. "It's fine, just try to avoid them." You put the cigarettes in the garbage and grinned once more. "Don't feel sorry for something you can't control, alright?"
You walked out of the room to go back to Himiko, while Kokichi and Ryoma were left in the room with Genesis. "Hey Ryoma~!" Ryoma sighed and lied down in his bed, facing away from Kokichi. "Aw, you're so mean!"
As you walked towards the entertainment room, you heard something shatter from inside and you ran in. "Himiko, are you alright?!" She looked up from the shattered glass ball and lifted her hand, which had two cuts on them. You sighed and walked over to her. "Be careful."
You flicked your wrist, making the shattered glass ball gather and drop into a nearby garbage can. "Come on, let's go to the infirmary." You helped her up and walked with her to the infirmary. Peeking inside, you saw that Mikan wasn't inside so you let yourself in.
"Alright, sit down." She sat on one of the beds while you searched through the drawers for bandages. "Ah! Here." You wrapped the bandage around her hand and smiled. "There you go! I'll help you with the rest of your stuff, okay?" She nodded. "Thanks Y/N!"
.
.
.
"Kirumi, do you need help?" You asked after dinner. She looked up from the sink and shook her head. "Not at all. But thank you, Y/N." You nodded and left the dining room.
"Chiaki, is anything wrong around the building?"
"Other than Hajime yelling at Nagito, not really."
"Why is he yelling at Nagito?"
"Not sure, but it's not odd."
You hummed and looked at the ceiling. "Another one of those big missions are going on tomorrow. I was told to stay back just in case something like last time happened." Chiaki nodded. "Seems like the best idea." She stated.
You walked to the room to see that Genesis was already asleep, right next to Kokichi. "Hey Y/N!" Tenko greeted. You waved and sat at the foot of Kokichi's bed, pulling the blanket over the two of them.
.
.
.
The next morning, you woke up to see that everyone but Angie, Shuichi, and Kiyo were gone. "Mmmh... I should learn how to wake up earlier." Shuichi looked up and smiled. "I think so, too. Kokichi didn't have a problem with it, though."
You pulled the blanket off you and put your feet on the ground. "What did he do?" Shuichi put his finger on his lip, then pointed to his forehead. "Ah, I see..." You walked out of the room calmly, then the moment the door closed, you quietly squealed while holding your forehead.
"Okay, okay." You stood up straight and made your way to the kitchen, where Kirumi and Teruteru were cooking, and Mahiru and Mikan were at the table.

"Good morning."
The four of them looked up and greeted you. "They're already out on their mission, just so you know." Mahiru said. You hummed and sat down at the dining table. You tried making little water droplets from your palms but you couldn't. "Hm?"
You looked up to ask Chiaki, but she wasn't there. "What the..." You tensed your hand to try and make even one droplet, but you couldn't. What is happening...? "Hey Mahiru, how long until they get back?"
Mahiru put her finger on her chin. "They normally come back by lunchtime, but it really depends." You rested your head on your hand, still trying to make small droplets form at you fingertips.
"I-Is something wr-wrong?" Mikan asked. You shook your head and stood up. Making your way back to the room, you stared long and hard at your hand, only for nothing to happen. "Ow!" You looked up to see that you accidentally bumped into the guy with weird hair. What was his name?
"Sorry... uh..." "Hagakure." "Right."
You stared at him for a moment. "Hey, can I ask you something?" He nodded. "Would you know anything about supernatural things? Like ghosts and such?" He furrowed his brows and put his hand on his chin. "Well, yes. You're the one that came back to life, right?"
"Right... never quite thought I'd hear that but whatever." He pulled out his glass ball. "I know a thing or two about supernatural things, like fortune telling, but I don't think you need help with any of that."
"Wait, wait!"
He tilted his head as you averted your eyes. "This may sound like a dumb question... but do you think that they're all going to come back safely?" Hagakure looked into his glass ball. "Hm... it says they'll... be put into much danger..."
Your eyes widened a bit, but then you shook your head. This is stupid... I'm just stressed. "Thanks... I'll keep that in mind." You walked back in the room, and although you didn't 100% believe what Hagakure told you, you were still disturbed.
"Shuichi, I'll be going out."
"Huh? Why?"
"I just... need some fresh air."
Angie leaned on the railing of her top bunk. "Atua has informed me that there is some stress rising in you." Great, now Atua is right. What's next? "No, it's nothing like that." You assured. "I'm... just waiting for them to come back."
You pulled on your cloak and walked onto the roof of the headquarters.
"Hey Y/N?"
"Huh?"
You looked around and saw Chiaki hovering near the edge of the building. "Oh. Where were you?" You asked. Chiaki tilted her head. "What do you mean? You're the one who wasn't answering me this whole morning."
"What do you mean?" You wondered as you pursed your lips. What is happening today? You heard an explosion in the distance, and then a "Whoo hoo!" following.
"You're more jumpy when it comes to them... I think." Chiaki noticed. You looked at your hand, that clenched into a fist the moment the explosion detonated. "Oh... I guess so."
"But," She began. "Normally, your hand lights on fire or something when something startles you, doesn't it?" You nodded and sat at the edge of the building. "I'm not sure why... but I can't today." Focusing hard on your hand, you tried making a small flame light in your palm, but to no avail.
"I see." Chiaki looked down at the city. "Maybe it's the same reason you couldn't see me this morning." Turning your head to her, you tilted your head curiously. "What do you mean?"
"The reason your powers aren't working is the same reason your couldn't see me this morning."
"And that reason would be...?"
Chiaki was silent. "Chiaki, I asked-" A large explosion in the same place as the one from before cut you off, but this explosion was different.
"Maki Roll!"
You stood up as Chiaki squinted. "Chiaki, what's happening?"
"The Remnants of Despair... caused an explosion..."
You quickly ran back into the building and burst into Kyoko's office. "Kyoko!" She looked up from her walky talky and nodded. "Go ahead."
You dashed to the training room and grabbed a sword. "What are you planning on doing?" Chiaki asked you as you sprinted to the area. "Not sure... but I know that I'm not letting my friends get any more hurt than they may be."
She followed you as you ran to the area, updating you on what was happening.
"They ran out of bombs."
"Two helicopters were destroyed."
"12 injured, 2 of which severely."
You gripped your sword. This is stupid, this is stupid, you kept repeating in your head. You remembered the worry in Kaito's voice when you heard him yell Maki's name.
Fire suddenly lit at the blade of the sword. Chiaki's eyes widened as your eyes glowed red as fire. You heled your hand in front of you as the wall blocking your way was reduced to dust, revealing the area everyone was in.
"Hey Chiaki,"
"Yes?"
"I think I know what my job is."
.
Makoto gritted his teeth. "Ah, the Ultimate Hope." One of the Remnants sitting on an exisal's shoulder said. "Don't look to hopeful on the ground there."
The exisal's weapon on it's arm loaded up, and right as it shot...
"What the-"
"Oh, you thought you could do that to my friends? Just like that?"
Kokichi's eyes widened. "I know that voice..." You smirked and looked back at him. "I'd be offended if you didn't."
You turned back to the exisals, where there were at least 60... a bit more than the last time you fought them.
"Remnants of Despair... that's what you are, right?" You raised your hand, and lightning struck the sky. "Not too smart... trying to hurt my friends. I'll give you a tip..."
