《Turpin x reader》Chapter 11

To your surprise, Turpin had really planned everything, from the place to the dress. You had always wanted to have a hand in planning your wedding, your artistic nature wanting to show in the flowers and your dress. You now looked at dress which sat in front of you. It was beautiful and detailed but it really wasn't your style. You sighed ad tried it on. It fitted really well and you looked stunning in it, but it wasn't your style. You took it off and walked over to the window, watching the carriages and people pass. You heard a step on the doorway and Turpin strolled in. He smiled and took your hand.
"Where are we to be married?" you asked
"St Martin in the fields" he said.
"Such a beautiful place" you murmured.
"The only place fit for you" he smiled and kissed your cheek.
You had enjoyed time with Turpin, he seemed to dote on your every need and he loved to just lay, you in his arms and your head on his chest. He would stroke your head and kiss you. He wanted to keep you safe and that was what he was doing. He had taken time off work before the wedding and spent all his time with you, making sure that you understood his love for you. You had also started talking to Joanna, she seemed like a lovely girl and you gave her advice on painting which she heartily received. Part of your mind wished for you to go home. You could just see over the city to where your house was. Even visiting once more to get the money from the floorboard and then sell the thing. You thought you felt much safer now Turpin looked after you so you could just go home, get your stuff and come back. However, every time you brought it up he shut you down and refused. You didn't feel like you could leave the house with him always there and always pulling you back into him.

You woke on the day with Turpin already up and doing his tie. He glanced down at you and smiled. "Good morning my dear" he murmured. He pulled you out of bed and placed you on the floor, slowly he started to dress you. You found this annoying and batted him away as you did every morning with an "I can do it don't worry". He stepped back and watched instead, sitting on the window cill and leaning his head on the wall.
"Haven't' you missed important work by spending time with me the last week?" you asked.
"I have capable workers" he frowned. "You don't want me to spend time with you?"
"No I do" you said, regretting what you said. "I just worry"
Turpin smiled, standing he kissed you gently. "Don't worry your pretty little head over anything"
You nodded and he smiled, heading toward the doorway. "The carriage will be here in 5 mins" you nodded and got your dress on. You still didn't really like it but you but a smile on and walked downstairs. You wanted to marry him but something kept niggling and you didn't know what. You tried to push it down as Turpin kissed your cheek and took your hand, pulling you toward the carriage. Your heartbeat as it went off toward the church. Turpin had lost his stubble and also his stray hair in his head. He looked very dashing as he leaned against the carriage window.
"William?" you asked.
He looked to you and smiled. "Yes my dear?"
"I never asked, but what made you fall in love with me?" you asked
"I do believe it was a multitude of things" he said. "Your beauty, your talents, your charm and wit. I immediately saw you where a delicate rose and a jewel which I needed to protected and loved"
You smiled at his praises and your heartbeat fast again as the carriage stopped and Turpin took your hand. He stroked it gently and kissed you lightly. "There is nothing to be frightened off" he murmured and pulled you out.

The Street was busy and Turpin pulled you into the church. The people stood and your heart stopped. He had found your family. They were here. "William why are they here?" you asked in his ear.
"I needed their permission dear, you are only 20 and after that, they wished to be invited" he said gently.
"I don't think you understand"
"What do I not understand little one?" Turpin asked.
"They tried to marry me off at 16 to a 60-year-old rich local man to our home in Sussex. I believe his name was Mr Barchester. I ran away with money I gained from selling my paintings." you said.
You felt yourself being pushed into a small alcove and Turpin put his hand on your cheek. He looked annoyed. "Why didn't you tell me?" he hissed.
"I was scared" you murmured.
"Don't be scared of me little one" he said and kissed you delicately. "Now you have told me that little doozy do you wish to tell me anything else?" he was strangely gentle. You were worried that he would refuse you and cancel the marriage.
"No" you murmured.
"Good girl" he murmured. "Now take my hand" you took it and he pulled you up the aisle. You saw the eyes of people on you, especially your parents.
The service went as planned and you said your vows. The service was quick and you kissed while the congregation clapped. The after-party was held next door at a small cafe, it was lovely until your parents sat down. "It has been a while" Your father said.
You nodded, not looking up.
"Tell me did you enjoy the little stunt you pulled, running away" your father said. "You ended up marrying anyway"
"I wasn't ready" you mumbled. "Not for anything."
"I have always been disappointed in you" your father snarled. "First you refuse to marry into the gentry and then you marry a person we do not know. There is little I can do now, but all I can say is fie to you"
You looked at your father, startled. "Father, I make good money as a painter, I married and I am trying to bring honour to the family name"
"The way you could have done that is by marrying your betrothed" he snapped. "By now, I may have been in government"
"By now sir" a voice said behind you. Turpin had appeared behind you, he put a protective hand on your shoulder. "By now sir you would have been thrown out of the commons, I know many members and they do not take kindly to those fathers who marry their daughters off for power."
Your father stared at Turpin who stroked your shoulder with his fingers. "I guess you are rich" your father said.
"Indeed I am" Turpin said. "Your daughter is safe with my love and protection"
Your father frowned and sighed. "I never want to see you again," he said and left with your mother and sisters. You stared as they went, confused and shocked. You had no idea how to react. You sat, holding back tears. You felt a handkerchief being slid into your hand and you dabbed your eyes gently. You couldn't believe this. Your family had properly thrown you away. Turpin pushed the plate of cake toward you. "Eat" he murmured. You nodded and sighed, taking some of the savoury cake into your mouth.
You tried to cheer up and watched Turpin chatting merrily with his friends. You smiled, you where glad he was happy. You pushed down the emotions you felt and ate the cake in silence.

Ps. There are game elements here Disclaimers and warnings: - This story uses clichés. Like, lots of it. - I am not a native English speaker, so my grammar may not be best (It actually is pretty horrible). First 80 or so chapters are a true butchery for eyes and I admit it. Shouldn’t I correct them then? I should. Why am I not doing it? Who knows. Maybe one day I will. - This story is pretty much an experiment. I try different perspectives, different styles, I can make some random Deus-ex-machina if I would consider that I made mistake in the story and decide to change it. - This story is written for pure fun, if you expect some mind-blowing plots and conspiracy of top-level authors – then you will be most likely disappointed. - Easter eggs. Easters eggs everywhere. Every now and then you will be able to spot single events, characters and lines of text that belong in different stories/mangas/movies/books and such. Of course, they do not belong to me but to the owners, though I am not listing them – I am sorry, but if you need to be told from where line comes, we won’t be friends. - And finally. The story is written for you and WITH YOU. If you have any suggestions, events, characters, skills, class… ANYTHING… you wish to see, please – tell me. In best case scenario I would use them, in worse – I would just not implement them, so what do you lose? Guyz I owe my thanks for their contribution: KenChi?
