《The Pianist || MYG || ✔》34.

When Yoongi arrived home, he quickly ate the food that Hoseok had told him to buy on his way home, and headed straight into his piano room.
He looked around at all the boxes piled high up the walls, taking over the room and making it dark and gloomy. Moving forward, he crouched down placed his hand on a single box that was sitting a little away from the piles. After Isabella had passed, he had found this box in the bottom of her wardrobe. It wasn't made from cardboard, as were the other boxes in his room, but of a beautiful red coloured wood, with a golden lock and key.
He hadn't opened it, as he was afraid of what he would find inside. Obviously, Isabella had hidden the box, but she had kept the key inside, so she wouldn't have minded if he opened it. Still, he was unsure of what he would find within the case, but for some reason, it felt like it was finally the time for him to open it.
Yoongi sat himself down on the floor and twisted the tiny key with trembling fingers. After a deep breath, he lifted the lid, the creak of the hinges making his heart rate double in his chest.
His eyes widened when he saw what was inside, and with hands that were shaking even more than previously, he began to remove the contents.
There were faded receipts and train tickets all bundled up in individual, neatly stacked piles. There were concert tickets; his concert tickets and movie tickets mixed in with even tickets.
Each and every piece of card and paper in the box was related to him. Each date he had taken her on, she had saved the receipts and the train tickets. His concerts and the time he had taken her to the zoo, she had neatly tucked away in the box.

Yoongi choked out a sob when he saw the piece of scrap paper he had written his number on for her. She had even kept that. He continued to pull out the papers, and when he reached the bottom, there was a Polaroid picture of them both that Bee had taken when she had become obsessed with them for a while.
He pulled the picture from the box, staring at it with wide eyes.
"I thought we lost this," He muttered. He had looked so happy in this picture; Bee had caught him while he was laughing. Isabella was pouting, and he could remember the moment so clearly.
---
"GiGi, it's not funny!" Isabella pouted, her bottom lip poking out as Yoongi, Hoseok and Jimin laughed so hard that tears poured down their cheeks.
She was right. It wasn't that funny, but her reaction was just so adorable that they couldn't help but laugh. They had enjoyed a few drinks together earlier, and that was another reason they were so jolly, but the fact that Isabella hadn't understood such a simple and rubbish joke was undeniably the best moment of the evening together.
"Should I tell it again?" Hoseok laughed as he finally calmed down, "Or do you want me to explain it?"
"Tell it again," Isabella said, "I don't think I heard it right the first time,"
"Two men walked into a bar," Hoseok said, "The third ducked,"
The blank look on Isabella's face made them fall about laughing, and Bee placed her hand on the woman's shoulder, "It's alright, Izzy. I don't get most of their jokes,"
"Did you get this one?"
"Well... Yes, I did," Bee said sheepishly and Isabella pouted again.
Yoongi pulled her onto his lap and kissed her cheek, "You don't have to understand it, Izzy," He said, "Just pretend and laugh along. Humour him, it isn't even funny anyway,"

"I don't want to lie about my feelings," Isabella said, "If someone doesn't understand something, they should be upfront about it,"
"That's true," Yoongi agreed, "But this is just a simple joke,"
"Would you ever lie to me about your feelings?"
"Of course not,"
She smiled, seemingly satisfied with his answer, "I'll hold you to that, Min Yoongi,"
Yoongi shook his head, "That sounds ominous,"
"You'll see,"
---
Yoongi gently placed the picture on top of the other piles of paper on the floor. All that was left in the box was a little pink diary, the velvety outer layer faded and a little worn. He wasn't sure he wanted to look through Isabella's diary, but he felt drawn to it. He wondered when she stopped writing, or if she continued until the day she passed.
He flicked through the first few pages, tears springing to his eyes when he saw her detailed accounts of their simple, day to day life. There were a few doodles every now and then, and he couldn't help but smile when the sight of her writing reminded him of the little notes she would leave him every now and then, telling him not to forget to take out the trash when he left in the morning, or that she had left him some food in the kitchen when he was home late.
However, as he reached towards the back end of the little diary, the writing became messier, less detailed. It was clear in some instances that she was in pain, but she still wrote about her feelings and how she and him had been living towards the end of her time.
She knew she was dying; she knew there was no hope for her, but she still had hope for him.
Yoongi squeezed his eyes shut as the tears dropped onto the very last entry in the diary. He held it in his hand for what felt like hours, until he realised what he had to do.
He snapped the book shut and placed everything back into the box, locking it tightly before leaving the room, his phone in his hand.
"Yoongz? What's up?"
"Hoseok," Yoongi's voice was strong, even though his heart felt weak, "I need you to come over. Can you bring your car? And ask Bee and Jimin to come, too, if they can,"
"Is everything alright?"
"Please, Hobi,"
"Okay. Sure buddy, I'll be over soon,"
