《Musical Teacher.》Episode - 20

Today is the day of the competition so I took the chance to sleep in. Chaeyoung, I'm guessing, slept in too. She did arrive in the middle of the night, so it was expected.
One thing stayed on my mind the whole night though,
Just what mistake did she make?
I rubbed my eyes, stretching. I felt really good, I had been sleeping on the sofa in Chaeyoung's house and it's uncomfortable. Especially for two people. I just didn't want to tell her because it'll probably make her feel bad.
Our house will be built soon. It'll be a good thank you present if we win. I have it all thought out. After winning, we'd come home and have a nice date. Relax in a hot tub, go to a spa and enjoy some food. Then, in the end, I'd surprise her with the house.
It'll only work out if we win though, so I'm heavily confident today.
I got up, putting on my slippers and heading straight for the bathroom. I was going to order breakfast for Chaeyoung, she should get up soon and we should get ready for the competition. We're taking a limo with our new friends. Well, it's only Dahyun because Lia is back in Korea.
I finished getting ready and headed to the phone for room service. I'll order it to her room and I'll eat there.
We only have a couple of hours left, so we might as well use it right. I think we're good for the competition and only need to practise a little bit more to get the fine details right.
I ordered breakfast to her room and made my way out, greeting Dahyun who was also going to her singer's room. I met Dahyun's singer and she is really cute. She's a happy person and I personally think Dahyun may have a little crush on her.
I entered Chaeyoung's apartment, seeing her clothes scattered on the floor. It was muddy where her shoes were. She did arrive in the rain last night, she was probably tired.
I picked up her clothes, they were like a trail to her bedroom. I entered the bedroom to only find bottles of beer scattered around. I was confused, did she drink?
Her cheeks were flushed and she was in a star shape on her bed. Judging by the smell coming from her, she did drink. I groaned, kicking all the bottles to one side before sitting beside her.
She must've drank because of her mistake.
I don't even know what it was.
She groaned when the bed dipped, moving her head towards the other side. "Chaeyoungah," I called for her, rubbing her arm. "Get up."
She groaned again, whacking my hand off of her and cuddling in the blankets. "Come on, get up." She shook her head. I pulled on her bra strap, letting it go.
She hissed in pain and opened her eyes, rubbing her shoulder. "Ouch! Why did you do that?"
"Because you stink and you need to get up." She groaned, yet again, sitting up and holding her head. "Headache?" She nodded. "No one told you to drink then."
"I just wanted to drink, Chu. I needed a drink." She stood up, hands in her hips when she looked around the messy room. "Gosh. I don't even remember last night. How did it get this messy?"

"I don't know, love." I sat on her bead properly, crossing my legs. She seemed to have remembered something, grabbing her phone and checking it. "What? Missed a text from your Eomma?"
She didn't answer, frantically swiping through her phone before sighing in relief. She switched it off, putting it back down. She turned to me, picking up the hoodie she had worn yesterday and some pants from the drawer. She pecked my lips and headed for the shower.
She's acting unusual. I glanced at her phone, wondering whether to check through it or not. She shouldn't mind, right? I picked it up and put her password in.
It didn't work.
She has changed it.
Okay? That's odd becauseuse she normally tells me what her password is after she changes it. Maybe she just hasn't had time yet. I decided to just leave it, maybe what she's hiding isn't as big as I'm worried about.
She came out of the shower, rubbing the towel against her hair before throwing it on the floor. She's quite a messy person.
She looked back in the bed, bringing me closer with a hug. See, she's acting off. Normally it would be practise and breakfast, but she's hugging me.
I let her bury her face into my neck. "I may have to leave early later."
"Why?" I slightly tilted my head so it was resting on hers. My arms wrapped around her.
"Suzy and I are friends..." Her tone wasn't happy. I was happy they were friends, but something about the way she's saying it doesn't seem like it.
"That's good. So you're going to hang out then?"
"Something like that... Yes." She lifted her head up. "I'm hungry. Let's eat and then get ready for the competition."
"Please welcome, Kim Jisoo and Park Chaeyoung, " The judge announced us on stage. I held Chaeyoung's had all the way up until we bowed.
I sat at the piano and took a deep breath in before I started playing my piece. We spent the whole morning getting it perfect, I'm going to nail this.
I'm going to become bigger than my mother.
We finished playing and Chaeyoung was quick to leave, promising with a kiss that she'll be back before they announced the winners.
That was a lie.
Twenty minutes before the winners would be announced and she still isn't back. Suzy and her were hanging out and I think she's just running late.
She wouldn't forget, would she?
Dahyun grabbed my hand, squeezing it. "She'll be here soon, I'm sure. If she isn't, I'll beat her up." I chuckled slightly.
"Thanks, Dahyun."
"No problem."
We waited another twenty minutes, she wasn't showing up. I tried calling her multiple times but she never answered.
I wasn't worried, more annoyed she wasn't here to hear who won.
Especially since it was us.
We were announced first place, I got up to get my award and was congratulated by a lot of people on my way back. Dahyun got second place and I was rewarded with a lot of money and fame.
If she wasn't here, I'm sure she would've seen my face on the news by now.

I made my way backstage, again, only to find my mother there. My eyes widened, I didn't know she was in Europe. She handed me a bouquet. "Well done, honey."
"Okay?" I found it weird how she is being so nice to me right now.
She smirked, "Where's Chaeyoung then. You realised how bad she is? She isn't even here."
She's a total bitch.
I clenched my fist and the bouquet.
"Shut up."
"That's rude of you." She pretended to be hurt. "So, she isn't here. Now, I remember telling you she isn't good for you." She chuckled, pointing to herself before speaking. "Now, look who is right."
In frustrated right now. I clenched my fist harder, holding back my tears. Chaeyoung isn't here, she's making herself look bad.
But no one talks about my Chaengi like that.
"Shut your trap, " I said seriously. She stopped talking for a moment. "She's busy. That's it. Does this mean, you weren't good enough for me too?" She raised an eyebrow, asking what I meant. "You never showed up to my school plays or talent shows. Heck, you didn't even show up on my birthdays. You're the worst. Chaeyoung is here all year round."
I threw her bouquet on the floor, storming off. Once I turned around, I let my tears flow. I'm just really annoyed and frustrated.
Dahyun noticed and was quick to my side. "What happened?" I didn't want to say anything and continued walking. She stopped me and hugged me. "Is it because Chaeyoung never showed up?" She rubbed my back and I nodded. That's a partial reason, another reason is my fucked up mum. But Dahyun looks up to her as a pianist, I won't ruin that image for her. "I'll go back to the hotel with you, let's just relax there till she comes, okay? I'll have a go at her once she's back."
I pulled out her hug and smiled at her. She's a nice friend. A friend I'm willing to keep forever. "Okay." She then grabbed my hand and we both made our way out back to the limo.
We had a fun time, Chaeyoung still wasn't back yet. She helped me get my mind off it by playing board games and doing some karaoke, which we both were disappointingly bad at. That's quite surprising for musicians, I guess our strong points aren't our voices. Nether less, it was funny to hear our voices crack at high notes.
We are some pizza and were, right now, watching a movie cuddled up under the blanket.
That's when there was a knock on the door. Dahyun looked pretty into the movie so I decided to get up and open it.
It was Chaeyoung.
She was standing there, awkwardly chuckling and she handed me a bouquet. "Congratulations?" I have nothing to do with her right now. I don't even want to talk to her.
I dropped the bouquet where it was and headed back in. I was going to shut the door but she put her foot out, pushing the door open and coming in. "Oh, Dahyun."
Dahyun rolled her eyes and went back to the movie.
"Babe, I'm sorry-"
"-Shut up and leave."
I looked her in the eyes. "You promised to be there at the announcement, you didn't even show up after. What kind of a girlfriend are you?"
"But, baby. I was hanging with Suzy. I lost track of time and stuff." She was looking all around, not directly in my eyes.
That's odd.
"Chae, you didn't show up. She's not your girlfriend, I should be your top priority." She cupped my face and looked into my eyes this time.
"You are and I'm sorry. Forgive me?" That reminds me of the other night, where she was asking for my forgiveness. I don't even know what mistakes she keeps making.
I moved her hands away, I'm annoyed with her. I'm not going to forgive her so easily. I stormed off to the bedroom. "Jisoo! Baby! Yah, come back!"
Dahyun didn't let her leave and I could hear her scoulding Chaeyoung even when I shut my door.
I sighed, laying in bed. She didn't even bother to show up. Why should I care for her apology?
She owes me big time.
I want a lot of chicken and cuddles. With no complaints either. I know if she wants to apologise she will do that for me.
I laid on the bed, smiling about how she's going to make it up for me. The scoulding eventually stopped and I heard the front door shut.
Dahyun has left. I know because it's quiet. I turned around when my door opened to find Chaeyoung standing there. "What?"
"I'm really sorry, Chu." She says beside me on the edge of the bed. "I'm truly sorry, okay? What shall I do to make it up to you?"
I smirked on the inside.
"Chicken." She nodded. "And cuddles."
"That's it?" I raised an eyebrow at her and she shook her head. "Alright then. Chicken tomorrow before our flight and cuddles now, okay?"
I nodded, sitting up when she laid down in bed. She opened up her arms and I laid in them. She caressed my hair and I could hear her heartbeat. It was loud and fast. It made me happy knowing I still have the same effect on her.
"You forgive me, right?" She asked sweetly. I was too focused on her heartbeat to answer. "I'm sorry, baby. I promise that once we're back in Korea, I'll treat you to anything you want."
I know she means that. She just doesn't know the surprise I have in stored for her. That's why it's a surprise. "Alright." I quietly said.
She kissed my head a couple of times before flipping us over to the side. I rested my head against her chest and she covered us with the blanket.
"You know I love you so much, right?"
I chuckled, sarcastically saying, "No."
She slight laughed, cupping my face and pampering it with nonstop kisses. I laughed, whacking her off. "Now you know, right?"
I nodded, nuzzling my face into the crook of her neck.
"I love you so much too."
