The walk back felt longer than it had to go to the neighborhood. Probably the Adrenalin wearing off. My cut hadn't stopped bleeding although I had looked at it in the house I can only assume it was worse than I had thought. lost in thought I hadn't noticed Jeff stopped. I crashed into his back, he grabbed me. I struggled to get out of his grip.
"Stop, stop!" he said in a harsh whisper. "Listen do you hear that?" He questioned. I strained to hear what he was talking about but to no avail. I shook my head no.
"Exactly," he said urgently. "It is way too quiet." He looked at me and his face told me everything I needed to know.
"Its the Rake. He shouldn't be here, but he never listens to Slender. He probably smells your blood." Jeff grabs my arm pulling me along faster. Black spots clouded my vision. Blood. I lost too much blood.
