《The Untold Stories - Season 1》A Fallen Ally (Episode 12)

Slowly, the camera opens up to show the castle of Marblerose within the distance. Its many striking features are seen, including; the attractive red roses creeping out of the vinery and great red-and-black flags floating high above its many towers. As the camera began to fall closer to the castle walls, suburban houses and farmlands containing various plants came into view; with many emitting a bright glow. It became apparent - fairly quickly - that these farmlands and houses were being attacked by a loud, displeased fire due to the mass amount of screams of fire from the running people below. Steadily, the camera made its way through the castle's wrought iron gates whilst many tired, red-armored soldiers stood ushering people inside. Eager archers stood holding their bows within their hands from a platform above, their arrows at the ready to shoot at an unknown enemy beyond the walls. Nevertheless, the camera was focusing on four hooded figures running alongside the crowd. When they glanced upward, the camera automatically recognised them as; Ethel Greene, Malena Hillsford and Jaclynn White. When they spoke - they spoke in hushed whispers and away from anybody capable of eavesdropping:
Malena Hillsford: Why are they being forced ins-
Ethel Greene: Protocol. Ever since the announcement of the Second Wizarding War. Every protected city has been having raids from Llama's arm-
Guard: SHUT IT, YOU!
A round-bellied and red faced guard wearing heavy chain armor shouted at them from the sides. Several citizens looked round, wonderingly questioning who they had just bellowed toward. Like all the others, they were being ushered into the main building where once inside was a long hall; it no longer had the tables of drunk men and women but now bore many fast-speaking guards whom were all rushing around. Most of the women and children had settled down by the walls whilst all the men were being told to enter into an extended room to the right. At the top where three grandeur thrones once stood, now contained a mid-thirties woman with a bright scar on her head. She had long hair that was carved into a french braid and had dark symbols around her eyes; almost as if she were a dark-magical. Standing next to her looked to be the High Guard who wore a maroon-shaded plate of armor and was barking instructions to guards passing closeby.
High Guard: KIRK! HELP THAT WOMAN RIGHT NOW!
Reluctantly, the three women made their way to the front of the hall where there were steep steps leading up to the stage in which the woman and high guard were observing from. Only once had they reached the foot of the stairs did they take off their cloaks and start to ascend them in great speed. They nearly made it toward a small door at the back before the scarred woman stepped in front, rudely interrupting them.
Woman: What do you think you are... who are you? Intruders!
The maroon guard marched his way over, clearly in no rush to stop the intruders at all. When he stopped, the three noticed the muscles twitching in his face as he examined them up-and-down. Finally, he said:
High Guard: I have lived in Marblerose for over a hundred years and know every face that has lived within the boundaries. You are not from here... explain!
Jaclynn White: We are here to see Lady Ninetta Wolfborne...
Woman: And why, may I ask?
Jaclynn White: This is about... Dark Hammer.
Immediately, the woman and high guard had erupted into laughter; on the contrary, the three women did not find this entertaining at all. Ethel squinted her eyes threateningly and Malena crossed her arms while rolling her eyes around in their sockets. Once they had seen the expression amongst their faces and noticed they were not laughing with them, they fell back to their usual expressions. The woman with the dark-symbols opened her mouth to argue, but automatically fell back when the small door opened up to reveal a small boy; when he noticed the high guard standing before him, he immediately ran into the crowd of the women and children. From the inside, a strict voice called:

Voice: Intruders?
Emerging from the darkness was a girl around the age of fourteen. Indeed, she wore heavy chain armor and had a bright silver crown placed on her head. When she emerged into the hall, many women and children had gaped at her presence but wasn't even glanced or given any attention to. Immediately, she noticed Malena and extended out a hand to shake; Malena shook it.
Ninetta Wolfborne: Malena Hillsford... what a face I never thought I would see again. As for you Petteri and Emiliana, I thought better of you to be wasting time on guests. Have you not gone through the book on our enemies and allies?
Emiliana and Petteri looked from one another before shaking their heads in shame. On the other hand, Ninetta looked completely disappointed and turned her head away from them. When she spoke, she was speaking to the ceiling.
Ninetta Wolfborne: I expect you to do better... leave us please and make sure nobody but wanted guests and allies enter into this room...
Ninetta ushered the three women through the tiny door and into a stone broom closet room. Once inside, a large table stood in the middle of the room with the map of North America emblazoned into its wood. Many figurines of soldiers and ships were placed all around in strategic stations. On the other side was Arthas Stewart speaking gladly to another man in a strange language. This man was evidently not a human due to the weird shade of paleness in his skin, along with two sharp fangs protruding from its mouth.
Ninetta Wolfborne: Of course, where are my manners? Ethel and Malena... meet Arthas.
Arthas waved at them from the other side of the table. After a while, he and the weird man stepped over to where the table stood whilst leaning across it and completely ignoring the figurines scattered across the board.
Arthas Stewart: And why have you come?
Ninetta was now resting upon a stool in one corner of the room; eyeing the guests with great judgement. Meanwhile, the other man leaned against a historical dresser with a taste of hunger in his eyes. It was Ethel who spoke for the trio, who ignored Arthas and spoke to Ninetta instead.
Ethel Greene: My father knew your father... It was a shame when he died, never mind what he died for. It was still honorable-
Ninetta Wolfborne: My father was nothing like an honorable man. He joined sides with Dark Hammer and tried to take Marblerose down with him. If it wasn't for my mother and the rebels, this place would be abandoned... destroyed... burned to the grounds.
Ninetta perched her back into a straight position. Her face contorted into a mean and ugly-looking expression as if she had just been called a coward. This time, it wasn't Ethel who spoke but it was Malena.
Malena Hillsford: What she meant to say is that your family... city, is an honorable place. No leader has ever been truly dark. We came to seek-
Ninetta Wolfborne: What is it that you seek? Assistance? Why? If I remember correctly, the last time we helped we lost a true honorable leader... Along with half a dozen men. I am not a stupid girl and nor will I be addressed as one as if I need bedtime stories of how things were. How is Hillsford Farm by the way? The trolls still helping you? Have all your people abandoned you and that is why you seek our assistance? To attempt to get them-
Jaclynn White: If it will, your lady. We did not come here to seek conversation about past rulers or about Hillsford Farm.

Ninetta Wolfborne: I don't know you. Who are you?
Jaclynn took a deep sigh before addressing herself.
Jaclynn White: Jaclynn White... and it is no bother asking who I am, I have recently been called to help.
Ninetta closed her mouth before she could ask Arthas of what importance Jaclynn was and resumed to stare at the three in her stool.
Jaclynn White: Before... at Hillsford Farm... we were fighting a small army of the many creatures Dark Hammer could gather. Recently, we have gained knowledge of many more joining his side. Creatures such as the famous werewolf; Alastair Seymour. Now, I may only be a non-magical but I have seen such forces myself. We are here to ask... one more time... to help in a battle against Dark Hammer. Or, as many have been saying... he will win. Making all those sacrifices for nothing and many people... your people included... to be slaughtered at his will. This is our last chance... last chance to defeat him.
Ninetta considered this request for a moment or two before opening her mouth, speaking in a bossy voice.
Ninetta Wolfborne: The House of Wolfborne and Marblerose have been loyal to the McDonalds and Krakzes for a thousand years. Therefore, we will not break this tradition... we will not let down our old ties... What is it that you seek?
Jaclynn White: Soldiers... as many people as possible that can fight against him...
Ninetta Wolfborne now addressed the weird man and Arthas, who both appeared frightened at the speech Jaclynn had just made.
Ninetta Wolfborne: How many are there?
Arthas Stewart: We have 677 soldiers. 105 men in training.
Ninetta Wolfborne: What about with the vampire clan? Kanameer Crywell?
At this, the beast who was now recognised as a vampire burst into life and stared into Ninetta's eyes. His voice was cold and quiet, as if he were on the verge of death.
Kanameer Crywell: Around 500-
Arthas Stewart: But this is crazy talk, we can't send our whole city to fight in another man's war.
Ninetta Wolfborne: This is not another man's war. This is our war and if you had any respect for my mother's spirit you would fight alongside her only living child.
She now turned toward the three women.
Ninetta Wolfborne: Every man, woman and child will be fully trained to fight for this battle. We are a small city, but every one of us fights with the same strength as six dark-magicals.
At this, the same small boy had rushed into the room holding a scroll of parchment. Disgustingly, the paper had a weird color to it, as if an egg or some type of yellow paste had been smothered all over the paper. When Ninetta snatched it from the boy's hand, the camera looked upon her face.
Ninetta Wolfborne: Thank you, Amito.
The camera moved around to show her perspective as she read the scroll of parchment bearing the words of: .
a broken record starts to play
Five cloaked people walk through a forest with tree and plant closeups. 'Sxphie' appears in between the trees and plants. A minotaur eats a man while 'Kieghan' appears in the minotaur's eyes and shortly after there appears to be multiple broken pictures with blood over them containing dolls, demons, the photo of the Class of 1965, Judy and Llama and lastly is Great-McDonald with black eyes. 'Kalani & Kyphi' appear as a woman holds up a voodoo doll with her lips sealed by the thread. 'Cat & Hunter' appear as women stand and dance around a fire of burning witches and wizards, 'Smxthie & Aloro' appear as a man pours blood over him while another goes into a bath filled with blood. 'Rachel & Alwaysmunching' appear as the woman starts to stab the voodoo doll and the blood on the picture frames sucks back up and into the pictures with the cracks ceiling, finally 'Llamapocalypse & Nikoliko' appear as the five cloaked people run away from the man eating Minotaur and the forest starts to burn before one of the cloaked people shushes the screen into:
Sophie McDonald appears on the screen facing a long hallway. All along the hall are pillars creating three different sections whilst also keeping the ceiling from collapsing, several tables containing skeleton skulls and large quantities of rotten food scatter themselves around the hall. At the very end of the hallway is a magnificent oaken pulpit. Engraved on it are several serpentine figures slithering around the wood, eating each other. Atop of the pulpit is a glass-covered necklace; a locket to where a bright red jewel stood at the end with a giant 'B' engraved into it...
Sophie was now facing Komrolfgy, the banners of the House of Kadlin flew into the camera along with a weeping ghost. As the camera approached the ghost, it grew quieter and eventually evaporated into wisps of white and blue...
Sophie was now facing the Clyde Residence. The camera moved upwards, through a window to face Sofia. Her eyes were fully open as her hair laid itself in every direction; her clothes were raggy and she had a deep look of being unwashed. Within her hands, she was clutching hold of a picture that contained two women; one of Sofia and the other was blurred out...
Next, Sophie was walking along the White Room... Parts of the room were being torn away or turning black, dripping in buckets of ink... Other parts were slowly turning and transforming into parts of glass where a starry void filled the other side... At the very end stood the collapsed body of Kyphi Krakze being overlooked by Cat Montreddins, Chelsea Williams and Smithie Evans.
Sophie McDonald: Hello? What happened?
Cat Montreddins: It's tragic... she's left and gone to rejoin-
Smithie Evans: Shh, we can't tell her that... she'll know in time.
Chelsea Williams: ha, time. That was a good one.
When they all turned to face Sophie, their eyeballs were sealed shut and stitched together by their own flesh. Startled, Sophie drew herself backward and let out a tiny scream to herself. As she let out the scream; the room, Cat, Chelsea and Smithie all disappeared into blue and white wisps...
Now, Sophie was standing on the concrete balcony containing Judy Jills. Judy's hands were deeply bruised and scabbed due to the intense pulling from the chains, whilst several spots on her face had caught cuts from the curses thrown to her by Llama; she looked very emaciated and almost dead. Surprisingly, there were no guards draped in black robes watching the prisoner. But instead, there contained the beautiful image of Demorca Merovingian with a woman who had the same striking beauty but with light, blonde hair. Her voice was calm and pleasant, as if speaking to a child.
Woman: Demi, do we have to?
Demorca Merovingian: Do we have to? Of course we have to, Riley.
Riley looked extremely uncomfortable as Demorca approached Judy's limp body. As she did so, a long string of her curly hair covered her mad eyes; blocking any judgement she could make to the whimpers casted by Judy. Intimidatingly, she bent low over the figure and whispered:
Demorca Merovingian: Where is she? Our niecy? Cat Montreddins?
Judy Jills: I d-d-don't know...
Demorca Merovingian: Liar, you know where she is... Dead. For helping the filthy half-magical Sophie. But where is Sophie?
Judy remained quite still, clearly this information did not change her mood or give a reaction as Demorca had hoped for. At this, Demorca launched her hand onto Judy's chin, forcing her to look into them manic eyes.
Demorca Merovingian: I don't know why he keeps you alive.
At this precise moment, Demorca spat directly into Judy's eyes; forcing her to scream due to being incapable to wipe the spit off... Sophie was now soaring backwards as Riley casted a look of deep disapproval and repugnance upon the scene. Slowly, a distant voice started to speak as Sophie opened her eyes and was sitting upon a table in the
Kieghan South: Sophie! Sophie!
Kieghan was sitting directly across from Sophie and bore the look of deep languor. Her red hair was tied back into two tight plaits as her arms extended outwards; clasping hold of a mug emanating smoke. Sitting next to Kieghan were Toby and Kalani, talking about students attending Brooksfield University. Strangely, they both had a glow to them as if somebody was exhorting them into action.
Sophie McDonald: I need to talk to Sof-
Sofia: Talk to me about what?
Sofia had entered the room, she looked deeply tired as she twiddled with the photograph of Sofia and the unknown woman within her hands. Sophie's gaze followed Sofia and the picture, until she halted in front of where the pans stood, did Sophie answer the question.
Sophie McDonald: Where did you get that?
Sofia: This? It's a picture of my mother and I.
Sophie McDonald: Oh...
Kieghan South: What happened? Your visions again?
Sophie took a deep sigh whilst looking around at the others; all their eyes were upon her as if expecting she would tell them a story about how she became an astronaut. Calmly, she moved a strand of her hair behind her ear before saying:
Sophie McDonald: They have Judy... and the others... at some fortress... or building or-
Sofia: It's the Thronier House. I've had my speculations for a while but didn't want to believe in them.
Kalani Samiskowski: What's the Thronier House?
Sofia: It was used as a prison during the first... it's where they'll be keeping all their worthy prisoners...
Kalani Samiskowski: SO... then let's go! What are we waiting for?
Kalani and Toby had automatically got to their feet with the same energy they had during the talk about Brooksfield University. Only when they had started pulling on their coats did the door leading to the stairs burst open, revealing Rachel and Jasmine. Rachel's hair was tied into a neat bun as she wore a bright jean jacket, whilst Jasmine looked like she had just got out of bed; still in her pyjamas. Kieghan and Sophie had also got up to pull on their coats before turning onto Sofia and seeing her remain mobile against the counter containing the pans did they stop.
Sofia: We can't just storm into the house. I expect there'd be thousands of dark-magicals and beasts guarding... and that's not even what i'm most worried about. How would we get out?
Kalani Samiskowski: Never mind how we get out. If Llama hears we broke into his most guarded sanctuary and recovered all of his prisoners, then he holds nothing against us and the people guarding it will be in more trouble than us, duh.
Sofia considered this for a moment whilst gazing at the six before waving her hand into the air. It looked as if she was in deep thought on all the reasons why this plan could go wrong. Seven saucepans soared through the air; one pan for one person.
Sofia: This will protect you from any Mortem spells. Although, it'll probably explode.
Sofia rushed over to the stack of coats scattered over the coat rack; carefully she picked up a military green one. When she had fully put it on, they all grasped hands; Sofia muttered a few incantations before they all flew up into the sky with great speed. Stars around them blurred and fell out of focus before they all landed in front of a tall building in the middle of an abandoned street on the edge of a hill. It sounded as if (from far away) several people were running away as they heard the loud - crack. Until they found themselves surrounded by several masked people did they all rush through a side door into the creepy building. In front of them stood a spiral staircase leading to a second floor, as they made their way up they heard the dark-magicals outside teleporting back inside the building with loud cracks.
Kieghan South: You coward!

Second Patriarch: Rise of the Liu Clan
After the death of his father, Liu Zhu must prevail over his older brother in order to become the Liu Clan's second patriarch and bring his family to glory within Yutian Country. In the process Liu Zhu will come across lucky chances, have brushes with death, and slowly expand his world beyond that of the small country he lives in. NOTE: Currently dropped for various reasons. The short version of why I dropped it is because even the shortest form of my outlining resulted in a main plot of at least 300 - 400 chapters and I messed up massively by directly adapting it from my first attempt at this, which was a choose your own adventure on another website. It did not make the jump well at all imo.

Editor's Note: Someone disable his permission to edit the draft on UnityDocs, please! Hello, I'm McKing and I aim to write an original story with elements I've never seen put together before. Feel free to point out any mistakes you see — I'm not a native speaker, so I'm sure a few will pass me by. Sci-fi; Humor; (Brazilian) Urban Fantasy; faint shades of LitRPG. **Be warned it has a bit of an (absurd) slice-of-life beginning though the story is being subtly (I hope) worked on and eventually shifts gears (a bit). I planned to say that from the beginning, but I forgot to add it.** I hope that you enjoy it and that I can grow as a writer with your contributions. No Fixed Update Schedule. My inspiration comes in bursts and so will the Chapters. Sorry if that displeases you (I love regular updates too), but I'm afraid that's the best I can do for now. Keep in mind that it is a work in progress and things can eventually change a bit - I'll try to always note the changes. Sorry for the bad cover, it was the best my sorry skills could do! I hope you enjoy it,Mcking
