"How can I help you, sir?" Said the officer at the front desk of the Lavaca Police Department.

"Hello, ma'am. I'm wondering if I could visit someone today." The old man said.

He had an imposing nature about him. His face was laced with grey hair and an old scar. His eyes were sunken in and his breath made the officer's face squinch up, though she tried to hide it.

"And who are you wanting to visit?" She asked.

"William."

She glanced up at the older man, confused. No one had come to visit him in quite a while, and she wasn't too sure if William was wanting any visitors after the last one. She typed something into the computer and took a sip from her coffee cup. The man stared at her the entire time, never blinking.

"Ok, any relation to the inmate by chance, sir?"

He hesitated, taking a breath through his nose and leaning down onto the desk with both hands.

"Father."
