This story is nothing like The Viking's Hold, and a half century further in time. For those of you who pay attention to details, you'll find an indirect link between this novel and 'The Viking's Hold 2', Emma: https://www.wattpad.com/35994482-the-viking%27s-hold-ii-emma. The story line is both similar and vastly different. Basically, each girl will be living what should have been the other's fate...
As usual, the background of this novel is very researched, and as accurate as possible. This is what makes it Historical Fiction. This is how it would have REALLY felt to live in these times.
Of course the main characters are imaginary, and there was no recorded major Viking chief in Iceland, although it is likely that quite a few small farmers did enroll on Viking ships to improve their income. It has also been suggested that some of the early settlers in Iceland could have been Norwegian Jarls chased away by King Harad Fairhair.
This is a two books series, the second one will be 'Viking Witch'.
Due to the subject, there are more bed scenes in this story, so beware. They won't be graphic at all, but can still offend very young/religious readers.
