《Boss's Order's》Chapter 10

The next morning after an extra long shower with Xavier, we both emerge from my bedroom to find an overly excited Melinda making breakfast.
"Hi guy's," She chirps happily at us.
"Morning Mel, did you sleep okay?" I ask her politely, as she hands me a plate of pancakes and bacon.
"No not really, I got woken up by the headboard banging against the wall. But hey! I'm happy for you guys, so it's all good." She cheekily replies, causing me to choke on the pancake I was eating.
Xavier grins at me, and pats me gently on the back.
"Melinda!? Cut it out. Yes, we're together now, and yes I'm very glad you're happy, but please don't embarrass Aria like that." Xavier grumbles at her.
She smiles sheepishly, at me and nods. We all sit quietly eating our breakfast, and I feel genuinely happy with them both here.
After I help Melinda wash up, I loan her some clothes to change into, and we both go upstairs to dress.
Xavier left a little earlier to go home and change -he had to go into work to sort a few things but promised to be back later to take us out for dinner.
Me and Melinda decided to spend the day getting to know each other, we have a lot in common, there's only six months in age between us; me being older.
She helped me clean around the house in the morning, and we turn up the radio, dancing stupidly as we go around room to room.
In the afternoon, we spend it baking all sorts of goodies for us to eat later, and I can't keep the smile from my face.
"So Mel? Do you work?" I ask her curious.
She stops mixing the batch of brownies and just looks at me for a minute, before nodding.
"Yeah, I'm actually an author. You might even have read one of my books? I write the Starlight series." she replies nonchalantly.
I gape at her in shock. No freaking way!?
"Really? I love that series so much, I've read them all. You're amazing Mel, this is so cool!" I say excited.
She just shrugs, and goes back to mixing as if it's no big deal. I shake my head at her, smiling.
After all the baking is done, the house smells amazing.
Xavier arrives back around 5p.m, and sniffs the air as he walks in, appreciatively.

"Wow, you've been busy. Smells amazing in here." He grins, licking his lips.
"Yeah, me and Aria spent the day baking and getting to know each other. She's a fan too!" Mel replies grinning.
Xavier just smiles at me.
"So, you read Starlight, huh? Oh well at least you aren't a crazy, stalker fan." He replies smiling brightly at me.
"No, not that bad. Although, I do really like the books." I reply winking at them both.
"So Xavier? Where are you taking us?" Mel asks him excited.
"We're going out to eat first, then I have a surprise for after. Are you both ready?"
"Yeah, I just need to grab a jacket," I reply, and leave the room to grab it from the back of the chair where I'd left it.
Going back into the lounge, I see Mel with her jacket already on, and Xavier waiting for me.
He comes over and lightly places a kiss on my lips, making me blush.
"Break it up you two, I'm starved. Time to go!" Mel shouts at us impatiently.
"Come on, then!" Xavier replies and leads us out to his car; a different one this time, but still black.
He takes us to a fancy restaurant, and me and Mel both roll our eyes at him, giggling at each other stupidly.
We're quickly lead to an empty table near the windows, with an amazing view.
We're served immediately after sitting, by a bleach blonde bimbo, who's batting her fake lashes wildly at Xavier, trying to get his attention, and ignoring me and Mel completely. Thankfully his eyes are on me, and doesn't see her making a fool of herself; Me and Mel do though, and we laugh at each other as she leaves.
"God, how desperate was she?" Mel asks me between laughs.
"Very." I reply dryly.
"What. Who was?" Xavier asks confused, making us laugh even more.
I order chicken Alfredo with a side salad today, wanting to eat a little healthier.
Xavier raises an eyebrow at me, but I just shrug it off.
After eating, we get back into Xavier's car, ready to go to the surprise he has for us both. Mel can't seem to sit still, and is a constant ball of movement in the back seat, driving me crazy.
"Mel? Can you sit still?" I ask, her trying not to smile at her.

"Nope." She replies, popping her 'p'.
I just shake my head at her and turn on the radio, Xavier tries to stop me and I frown at him confused -until I hear Mel singing loudly from the back seat- and grin wider at the pained look that crosses Xavier's face. So the author can't sing huh?
By the time Xavier pulls the car over, me and Mel have been singing our hearts out for nearly an hour, and Xavier doesn't look too happy with either of us.
Looking around curiously, I realise he's brought us both to an ice rink of all thing's.
Mel seems to know this place and laughs loudly, clapping her hands in obvious glee.
"Oh god, we haven't been here in years Xavier, I used to love coming with mom and dad. Thanks for bringing me again." She tells him happily.
"No problem sis. Can you skate Aria?" He asks me, as he pulls me into his side.
"Uhm no, I've never done it before." I mumble slightly nervous.
They both chuckle at me, and I childishly stick my tongue out them, causing them to grin.
"Come on then, we'll teach you," he says, before kissing me softly. "It's not that hard, plus I'll catch you if you fall anyway." Xavier assures me.
Nodding, we head over to the counter where I'm assuming you get the skates from.
Xavier pays -much to my annoyance- and we each pull a pair of the ugly skates on.
Mel can't hold back her excitement, and rushes off towards the rink as quickly as she can manage, once she's changed her shoes.
Xavier stands up and grabs my hand, leading me over to the edge carefully.
"Ready, cara? I promise to not let you fall." He says softly, before leading me gently out onto the ice.
We spend an hour just skating around slowly. There isn't that many people here at this time, and I surprisingly had a really good time.
Xavier stays close to me at all times, and I eventually do get the courage to try to skate a little bit by myself.
I manage a few feet before I wobble like bambi, and Xavier grabs me by the waist, steadying me.
After we hand our skates back, and get into back the car with the heat on high, me and Mel can't seem to keep the smiles off our faces.
"So, did I do good then?" Xavier asks us both.
"Yes, you did brilliantly."
"You guy's are soo cute! I'm glad Xavier found you Aria, he needed a proper woman, not those bimbo barbies that clung to him like glue." She told me seriously.
"Thanks, I guess? Plus, I'm glad I met him too." I mumble embarrassed.
Xavier grabs my hand and squeezes gently, and continues holding it all the way back to my place.
Once outside my house I don't want them to go yet, but they both need to go home, I can't keep them around all the time; even if I'd like them to.
Xavier gets out, and walks me to my door.
"Thank you Xavier, I really enjoyed it tonight."
He leans down surprising me, and captures my mouth in a hard, demanding kiss that leaves me breathless.
"I'm glad, cara. Can I see you again, tomorrow?" He asks me, smiling down at me.
"I have to go job hunting again, but I should be free after lunch. What did you have in mind?" I ask placing my hands on his chest and leaning up for another kiss eagerly.
He grins down at me, and leans down so it's easier for me to reach.
"Can i steal you for a date then, cara?" He asks me.
"Yes Xavier, we are together now, so I expected dates eventually. Whenever you want to go is fine," I reply, stealing for another kiss, not being able to help myself.
Turning and unlocking my door, I turn back to him to see him watching me closely.
"Goodnight cara, dream of me," He replies and kisses my forehead, before going back to his car where I can see Mel waving at me, grinning.
I grin, and wave back, before going inside and locking the door behind me.
Turning the lights on, I drop my bag and jacket beside the sofa, and go grab a soda from the fridge.
It's a little after 11p.m and I'm tired, so I head up to my room, turning the lights back off.
Showering and changing for bed, I climb in exhausted and happy, falling to sleep quickly.

I know that I take a perspective that many will strongly disagree with, and I'm okay with that. Just be warned that this isn't lighthearted stuff. This is real, and death is real, and this part streaches beyond the fiction into reality. -I'm going to say a minor spoiler, but I don't want it to take you unaware because it is something to be aware of. At one point, my MC attempts suicide and fails. It's a very violent scene and I will put up the gore tag after writing this, and it's also just really depressing. If this will be triggering, you need to be aware of this before you read it. -This is a christian book. It may go against some of your beliefs. I hope that you can read and comment anyway even if some of it does not sit well with you. Credits for the cover go to the user 'Media in Sanity'. Your help and assitance has meant so much to me, God bless you in your writing and your endevours. A proud member of WriTE. I've promised to finish this fiction and update it at least once a month. My schedule is very irregular, and I'm working on that, but I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that this book stays out there. I'm not ending it until it's done.
