Testing Fate
Part 4
*Selena’s POV*
“Thank you guys for coming over,” I said as I set the boxes of pizza on the coffee table in front of Demi, Taylor and Francia. “I really just needed some girl time.”
“We are always here for you,” Demi said as she opened up one of the two boxes.
“So are we going to talk about the elephant in the room?” Francia asked looked between all of us.
I groaned getting up and walking away to the kitchen to grab napkins. “I don’t want to talk about this,” I said loud enough for them. “I wanted a girls’ night. I don’t even want to talk about boys.”
“Don’t you mean a boy,” Taylor shot back with a smirk.
“Okay fine. You have 3 minutes. Get it all out of your system now,” I said sitting back on the sofa, taking a bite of my pizza.
“Wasn’t it just so cute how he sang her that song on the today show?” Taylor squealed.
“Okay, okay, hold up. Let’s rewind shall we?” I asked stopping them from going further. “Yeah, it was cute, if you don’t add in the face that he left me! In my book he’s still negative like one million points. So, he can sing as many songs on television he wants but it will never make up for what he did or make it better,” I said before roughly putting my plate on the table, storming off upstairs.
As I slammed the door and sat on my bed, I didn’t care that I may have just thrown a little hissy fit. I was mad. I was hurt. I had a right to be mad.
A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door before all three girls piled into my spacious room.

“Sel, we’re sorry. You’re right. What Justin did was unacceptable but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t forgive him. Do you really want to spend the rest of your life holding onto this hatred for him or do you want to forgive him and then you can finally stop holding onto the guilt you have for getting rid of -” Demi said before I cut her off.
“Don’t say his name,” I pleaded closing my eyes as I tried my hardest not to cry.
“Come on. We can all talk about this later. Let’s go watch a movie and forget about everything,” Taylor said holding her hand out for me.
“Before we go down, I wanted to ask you guys if you wanted to come to a party tomorrow that Fredo and I are throwing. It will be fun. Give you a chance to loosen up?” Francia asked.
I nodded my head as I took Taylor’s hand. “I think that would be a good idea. I haven’t gone out in forever.”
“What about you guys?” she asked turning to Demi and Taylor.
“I don’t think so. It’s not really my scene,” Taylor declined.
“Me either. It’s probably best if I steer clear of parties,” Demi noted as we walked down the stairs.
*Justin’s POV*
“Bro! I thought you weren’t going to show!” Fredo yelled over the booming music as he stepped aside from the door letting me in.
He handed me a plastic, red cup filled with a dark liquid.
“Bottoms up man!” he laughed tapping his cup with mine before chugging it.
“Fredo how many drink have you had?” I asked looking around the crowded room.
“Just a few man. Just a few,” he said before patting me on the back. “I gotta go JB. My woman is looking for me. Have a few drinks, chill.”

I shook my head to myself and pushed my way between the bodies crushed together.
I made my way over to the drink table in the back, when I accidently bumped into someone spilling my drink on them in the process.
“Oh my gosh. I am so sorry,” I said looking up to see Selena staring back at me.
I cussed under my breath. Why did it have to be Selena of all people? Why was it the one person who hated my guts more than anything?
She let out a laugh causing me to snap my head up to look at her.
“Jay, it’s not that big of a deal,” she said smiling. “You want to dance?”
To say I was shocked, was the understatement of the year. However I wasn’t going to turn down an opportunity to dance with the love of my life.
She grabbed my hand before my mouth was able to respond and pulled me away from the table over to the other people dancing around.
She turned around so her back was against my chest. She started to move her hips from side to side, grinding up on me.
Now, if this was a few years ago I wouldn’t have thought twice about what was happening but add in the circumstances, and I was a little puzzled as to what was going on.
As soon as she threw her head back I could smell the alcohol from her and it all began to make sense.
“Selena are you drunk?” I asked as I stopped dancing.
“Of course!” she laughed like it was the silliest thing I had ever said.
“Come on. Let’s get you out of here,” I said as I began to pulled her away from the party.
I got her into my car before I hopped in and drove away back to my house which thankfully wasn’t too far away.
“You can stay in the guest bedroom,” I said as I helped her up the stairs.
“I wanna stay with you,” she whinned stomping her foot.
“You’re drunk. You don’t mean that. Now come on,” I said pulling on her arm lightly trying to get her to move.
Before I could even begin to process what was going on her lips crashed into mine as she began to push me towards my bedroom closing the door behind her, throwing off our clothes in the process.
Why do I have a feeling this is not going to end well?
