"You know, black rose means death, right?" The car ride seemed to be taking forever, but Shane did mention that it was a three hours road trip. I knew he wouldn't meant to call me 'death', but I wanted a little entertainment for him and maybe, myself, too.
His jaw clenched and he looked over to me. "You know, I'm sorry, right?" I made a serious look and his face gone frustrated. "You know, I'm an idiot, right?" His hand left my thigh and I immediately felt a small pang in my chest. He pulled on his messy, brown hair and made a pity look on me.
I laughed carelessly. "No, no, no, no." I clicked my tongue in amusement, "You are not doing this to me. No—Oh, come on! Not that pouty face! Why does everybody do that? It looks like a duckling."
We laughed and before I knew, we arrived at the stadium. I could feel myself sweating more and more. I was making second thoughts on going up to Justin, but my heart said otherwise. I had to know the truth, I repeated that to myself. I had to know the truth.
Shane kept me beside him, and screaming, wild fans didn't stop him to protect me. He hesitated a little before getting to our seats when he saw so many fans were on our way there before he asked me, "Can I hold your hand?"
His cheeks were getting red and it made me smile. I held his right hand and he guided me to our seats. A loud sound was heard and it was as if a microphone was dropped. The whole stadium echoed a really loud noise that we had to cover up our ears. Shane looked at me when I stared back at him scared.

He gave me a reassuring, side hug and led me to our seats. When we finally sat, Shane made a few jokes that made me laugh so hard, the girl beside me started to think I ran away from the mental asylum. When Shane playfully said yes, she was so happy and said, "Me too!"
I pinched Shane's waist and squinted my eyes on him for letting me sit beside an actual psycho. A few mumblings were heard through the microphone, but I couldn't quite get those words before something was heard rather loudly and I was pretty sure everyone in the stadium heard. My hand immediately held Shane's as my lips went dry.
All we heard was: "She's here with another guy who's about to die tonight!"
Killing innocent people? Yeah, that's Justin. Or should I say—Jason.

Small Town Love
For Daphne Emerson, New York City was her home. The city that never slept, the high skyscrapers, the Metropolitan Museum of Art if she actually had enough money for once to visit it, the tiny refrigerator of an apartment that she shared with her mother. When her mother dies, things change. NYC is left behind and Daphne goes to live with her aunt and uncle in the tiny, coastal town of Fairbury, Maine. Fairbury maybe was smaller than NYC had been, but that didn't mean that it was boring. It was filled to the brim with the typical small town gossip, snippy classmates and, of course, werewolves. Wait, what?!*****Luke Schuyler always knew what was expected of him. He had been raised as the future Alpha of the Schuyler pack, he wrote straight A's in school and was the quarterback of the football team. He had grown up in the sleepy town of Fairbury and so when a new girl begins at school, that also happened to be the cousin of his best friend, he doesn't think much about it. That was the first strike. The second strike came when he saw her the first time. Because Daphne Emerson was his mate.
