I've opened too many messages

each word being a lie

It makes me sick and I'm tired

Why do you have to lie?

Too many words have been said

Honesty is not in question

I wish I said something to you

but you left me with no answers

I tried to think that you were different

but each lie was slowly unfolded

Now my heart is truly broken

and now I'm scared that everything is a lie

Will someone else lie through the screen?

Text messages are easy to manipulate

They are words with no emotion

and even then, perhaps I'm too stupid

to see the true face that hides underneath that skin
