and Izuku was holed up in his room as usual. Kaminari, who had taken a liking to sending him several memes, texted him yet again. This time, though, it was an invitation.
[ Hey, Midoriya! - Denks ]
Izuku sat up on his bed and quickly replied.
[ Hi. - Izukuwu ]
[ They're having a party at Beta Hall. Don't you wanna come? Ochako's gonna be there. - Denks ]
Izuku frowned, anxiety already chewing away at him. Why would he willingly enter an environment that'd quite literally eat him up?
He almost typed no as a force of habit, but reconsidered. If his friends were going, he'd be fine....right?
[ I'll stop by, maybe. - Izukuwu ]
After sending the message, he dialed Uraraka's number and called.
"Hey, 'Zu!"
"Hi, Chako. Um, are you going to the hall party later?" Izuku practically squeaked. Ochako chuckled a little.
"I am. Do you want to go?"
"Well, I thought if you or Iida was there I'd be fine, so yeah. Why didn't you tell me about it though?" Izuku was curious to know.
"I didn't think you'd want to enter that kind of environment again. I thought it'd be inconsiderate to bring it up, you know? From now on I'll let you know though," Ochako said reassuringly.
Izuku sighed. "I get you. I thought I'd give it a try, so this is probably gonna be a one-off thing, honestly."
Ochako and Izuku had agreed to meet up and go to Beta Hall together. So naturally, when they met, they got to comment on what the other was wearing as they walked.
"You look cute!" Ochako exclaimed adoringly. Izuku was wearing an indeed cute black jumper with a red shirt underneath. He wore matching red sneakers on his feet.
Izuku smiled. "Thanks, Chako. You look nice too."
Uraraka had on a baby pink spaghetti strapped dress that ended just above her knees. The dress wasn't too tight-fitting, but it wasn't too roomy either. Her hair had gold hairpins pulling her side bangs back a little. She wore pretty ballerina esque flats on her feet.
They'd finally arrived at the hall, one of two more nervous than the other. Electric pop music spread throughout the area, and there were large amounts of people everywhere, half of which were definitely not sober.
"I'm already feeling lost," Izuku muttered. If Uraraka hadn't been so close, she wouldn't have heard that over the noise.
"Well, I guess it's best to start looking for Kaminari or Kirishima," Ochako proposed, and Izuku nodded in agreement.
The duo pushed through the tightly knit crowd for a few moments before Izuku spotted a head of familiarly fluffy, pink hair.
"Mina?" He blurted. How he managed to remember her name was beyond him.
The girl in question turned around sharply, her amber eyes brightening at the sight of the two. She effortlessly made her way over to them.
"Hi, Izuku and Uraraka! Didn't think I'd see you here," she smiled. Izuku noticed how her rosy, curly hair and matching pink outfit complimented her sugary brown skin. She was definitely a stunner.
"Is that a bad thing?" Ochako asked, smiling a little.
"Not at all. I've been wanting to see you again, to be honest." Mina's tone was light and borderline flirtatious. Izuku raised his eyebrows.
Uraraka reddened. "Oh."
Mina chuckled before pointing a thumb in the opposite direction. "Anyway, the rest of us are in the back. You guys wanna come?"

"Sure, we were looking for Kaminari anyway," Izuku said.
The trio trudged through sweaty bodies with Ashido leading the way. Eventually, the group of teens they'd been searching for came into view.
Kirishima was the first to greet them.
"Hey, guys!"
"Hi," Ochako and Izuku chorused. The remaining three in the circle simply smiled in acknowledgment. Kaminari patted a spot between him and Kirishima.
"C'mon Midoriya," he grinned. Izuku obliged only after seeing that Ochako had been sitting beside Mina and Sero.
"Hi, Midoriya," Todoroki (that was his name, right?) said, leaning forward a bit. He was wedged between Sero and Kaminari. His blue-grey eyes seemed to be digging into Izuku's skin.
Izuku averted his eyes. "Hi." What was it about this guy that made him feel so nervous and odd?
"Wait, isn't someone missing?" Ochako asked. Jiro nodded.
"Yeah, Bakugou went out for a cigarette," she replied and took a sip from her cup.
"Figures," Izuku muttered.
"Anywho, we were just talking about skinny dipping," Sero chuckled a little, inhaling the smoke from his blunt and passing it to Kaminari.
"Skinny dipping?" Ochako inquired. Mina grinned.
"Yeah, we planned on doing it together," Kirishima replied, wiggling his brows.
"What the hell are you cumbuckets planning about? Isn't that some shit you do on impulse?" A familiar voice filled the space as Katsuki entered the circle, shifting his weight on one leg. His ash-blond hair was in a low ponytail, and his red eyes were highlighted thanks to the black eyeliner that framed them. He was wearing all black yet again, his outfit consisting of a plain long-sleeved shirt and jogging pants.
Izuku noticed Bakugou's frown wasn't as intense as usual.
"I agree," Todoroki spoke up, and all eyes shifted to him. "Not that I'm going to be a part of that anyway."
"But it's fun to talk about!" Kaminari protested. Jiro lazily rose from her seat, stretching a bit.
"I'll be back. You guys want anything?"
Ochako smiled. "Yeah, is there any rum?"
"I think so," Jiro hummed in thought, playing with her large hoop earrings. "If there ain't none, I'll get you some vodka maybe."
"Sounds good to me."
Izuku pursed his lips before diffidently pitching in. "I'll have what Chako's having, please."
Katsuki raised a brow.
Jirou nodded and Kaminari got up. "I'll go with her. I might want something too, anyway."
The duo left, and the pointless but entertaining conversation struck up again.
"Anyway, I've always felt like I haven't done enough crazy shit in high school, so now's the time!" Ashido exclaimed. Izuku nodded understandingly.
"I totally get that," he opened up, earning even Katsuki's attention, "I mean, I don't know about being that extreme, but I want to know what this all feels like. If it's worth the hype, I guess."
Ochako smiled like a proud mother. "Look at you, being all open and shit," she grinned toothily. Izuku laughed awkwardly.
"You should go skinny dipping with us then!" Ashido exclaimed, completely ignoring what Izuku initially said. She seemed to have a short attention span, but it was endearing.
"No thanks," Izuku said simply.
Jiro and Kaminari returned, handing Izuku and Uraraka cups.
"Just a warning, you'll probably hate rum," Kaminari chuckled. Izuku nodded and inspected his cup before taking a long sip. The liquid felt like it was burning his chest, and it was borderline bitter. Why do people like this stuff?
Katsuki stepped over to Mina, bumping Ochako in the process. The cold cup of liquid in her hand tipped over and spilled on her dress.

"Hey!" Ochako scowled. Katsuki rolled his eyes. "Sorry, pink cheeks."
Sighing, she decided to let it go. "I'll be back," she said and stood up. "Going to the ladies' room."
Bakugou took her space beside Mina and twiddled the lit cigarette between his fingers. He took one giant swig from the plastic cup in his other hand and threw it to the ground afterward.
"You're a dick to the environment," Sero sighed.
"Fuck off," Katsuki retorted.
Deciding that he might've wanted to use the bathroom too, Izuku stood up, only to stumble a little.
"Woah, you okay?" Kirishima asked with concern. Izuku nodded, finding some balance again.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'll be right back," he said and headed off, leaving his peers behind.
Izuku felt odd.
He realized it once the hall seemed to distort, and every step he took felt like one thousand.
The more he tried to mentally fight the oncoming dizziness, the more his skull felt like it was being cracked open. He eventually stumbled over to the bathroom, grimacing in pain and confusion as he did. Upon his arrival, he took to slumping against the wall at the extreme backside of the restroom as he tried to not puke. He propped his knees up and his head fell heavily between his arms.
What was happening? Did he drink too much? That couldn't be it- he only took one large sip before scrunching up his face in disgust.
Izuku wasn't graced with the opportunity to ponder over the possibilities as he heard approaching footsteps.
A looming figure towered over him.
"Is someone there?" Izuku managed to ask even though his tongue felt heavy and numb.
"Shh," the person's voice was gentle as they picked up the greenette with ease, slinging him over their back and taking heavy steps out the room. By then Izuku was already knocked out.
_________
Silk. Silk, and the smell of cinnamon.
Izuku pried his heavy eyelids open, absentmindedly palming the soft material under him. He rubbed his now bare legs together, briefly noting that he was stripped down to his boxers. He was too dizzy and sleepy to register his situation properly.
Izuku tried speaking, but his voice opted for an odd squeak instead.
Shimmering blonde hair entered his view, and the bed under him sunk with added bodyweight as a girl straddled his waist. Her golden hair fell fluidly over her shoulders, and her eyes were filled with a sickening type of excitement. Izuku felt his heart drop into his stomach.
Some things in life would never escape the very back of one's mind. This was that moment for Izuku as he felt the cold lips of a stranger press distastefully against his inner thighs. Foreign teeth sunk painfully into his sides, and Midoriya couldn't unhear the lone heavy panting that filled the space.
It was a new kind of panic that spread throughout the boy's body. It was a mixture of unpleasant sensations that he'd never experienced before. All he could do was cry silently and kick his legs with all his strength- or what was left of it.
He shook his head weakly, his eyes stinging with tears. Please don't, he wanted to plead as his wrists were pinned down, Please.
The sound of a belt buckle seemed to echo in the overly warm room. The overwhelming scent of cinnamon violated the greenette's lungs. It made him feel excessively warm, especially when his bare skin was met with something cold and slimy.
Thin, manicured fingers dipped into the waistband of his underwear, wasting no time to tug it down. A pair of dilated golden eyes brightened in the dark and Midoriya felt a hand wrap around his flaccid length.
"Stop," Izuku rasped again, his voice heavy and wobbly.
"Shhhh," the girl over him soothed.
The door flew open.
"Oi, Toga. You got any lighters...?"
Izuku, just barely recognizing the voice, tried lifting his head a little, his cheeks still wet. "Help," he slurred, his eyes falling heavy again.
Katsuki froze at the sight before him. Izuku, stripped-down, crying under the weight of his friend.
He snapped out of his sheer shock and pushed the girl off the bed (earning a loud thud and a groan of pain) before hastily scooping Izuku up and hurrying out. He heard a sharp shriek from the other room.
"Katsuki! What the fuck!"
Holy fucking shit, Katsuki panicked. What the fuck did I just walk in on? I'm in no condition to watch this brat, I'm drunk. What am I fucking doing?
Since his room was right down the hall and he was far too tipsy to carry Izuku anywhere else, he headed there.
Izuku had been shaking like a leaf, his head still spinning wildly. His burning eyes struggled to stay open as he cried, hiccupping violently and thrashing around weakly. Katsuki felt his insides twist, and he readjusted the teen's underwear.
Was he drugged? The realization made the blond's chest sting.
He was briefly grateful for how lightweight Izuku was as he hesitantly laid him on his bed.
He looked down at the greenette, who was currently curling into himself, shivering. There were purple and red bruises all over his near-naked body, and his cheeks were flushed and damp. Katsuki hesitantly threw a nearby blanket over him.
Bakugou felt disgust. That, and the overwhelming need to get piss drunk.
He felt his breathing shorten, and a wave of dizziness and panic washed over him. Where the fuck was his friend? Did that bitch seriously ditch him? Why the fuck was Toga about to rape someone? Katsuki chuckled a bit at the feeling of deja vu. It all felt like a god awful joke that seemed to repeat its punchline constantly. The feeling of fear and panic rolled in waves off Izuku and filled the room.
Calm down. This isn't about you.
"I can't fucking deal with this," Katsuki panicked, his chest filling with an unidentifiable feeling. "I can't-"
"Kacchan."
Bakugou's head snapped to the teen on the bed. What?
"Listen, I'm gonna go and get one of your shitty fucking friends, okay? So stay still," he hissed, heading towards the door. I'm just gonna ignore the fact that he called me that.
"No," Izuku said, his voice weak and small. "P-please don't go."
"Listen, I said I'm gonna get your friends. I'm locking the door so don't worry," Katsuki said, honestly becoming increasingly uncomfortable.
Izuku's eyes darted around the room in a confused, dazed panic. "N-no, please," he began to hyperventilate again, "she'll come again."
Bakugou scowled, his fists tightening.
"Fucking fine," he sighed, heading back to his bed and sitting on the edge.
Silence fell over them, save for the occasional hiccup and sniffle from the green-haired boy.
Izuku found himself wrapping his heavy arms around Katsuki's waist, not having the capacity to think about what he was doing. He then rolled over in the bed and laid his head on the blond's lap.
Bakugou flinched.
"What do you think you're doing?" He asked, his tone holding no actual disgust.
"Tired," Izuku muttered. He lifted one of Bakugou's large hands and forcefully guided it to his hair, absently seeking comfort. Surprisingly, the blond took the note and began guiding his fingers through the soft viridescent curls.
A few moments of comfortable silence passed before Katsuki spoke up.
"Hey," he said quietly. "You do french, right? Tell me something in French."
Izuku tucked his bottom lip in and opened his bloodshot eyes.
"Je deteste les joli démons blonds."

Scorched - The Winter Winds (LitRPG)
Frank Ebner once wanted to save the world. Let the second one be better than the first. On Earth he was a student of... well it hardly matters anymore. It was dying, and he and the rest of his fellows and friends studying how to stave off the end graduated just in time to be told it was too late. That there was not enough time, funds, will, to stop it anymore. That the governments and the worthies of the world had moved from trying to stop it, to surviving the oncoming apocalypse, while blaming each other. That was a world Frank wanted nothing to do with. One riven by wars for places in the Archologies going up, and between them and the dying world they were leaving behind. So when a strange voice offered him a way out, to a world unmarred by the poison killing his? Frank took it. The voyage changed him, made him fit his new world, one of stats and magic. It came with perks, for in passing through their Heavens, they'd been exposed to Divinity, and taken some of the Celestial within them. Heroes now, but there are heroes, and there are Heroes. The nobility of the Empire care only for those who carry blessed bloodlines, and their time to adapt and train up for the new world is limited. Patrons are scarce among those like Frank, with only the base Hero perks, and magic studies expensive and lengthy. Often requiring heavy Oaths to gain the necessary aid to wield mana as a mage. Frank found another way. It nearly cost him his life. Now on the run and burned by the very magic he sought and craved, he is a pilgrim traveling to the The Eternal Tree, font of Perseverance. Frank hopes Ir-karlak will grant him some way to recover from the fires that scorched him. Without snuffing out the embers those fires lit within, for he has learned to harness them and he would not give up magic for the world. *** In the last 21 days, as I update this, I've managed about 18-19 updates. So Scorched should update most days, muse willing. She's fickle, sometimes. Not every day, but most. If there's an update for the day, it will be at 7PM, GMT+2. *[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Actually completed it. :) *
