"happy birthday self"
Jungkook greeted himself knowing there was no one else there to say that for him, he was lonely in his own apartment, he couldn't even find himself a friend to stay with him, all his hyungs were busy with their own lives and he couldn't just ask whenever he wanted, they were busy as well. he knew he couldn't keep bothering his hyungs because he wanted company.

Kook:
putting his phone down, Jungkook stretched around the room and exercised keeping himself from falling asleep.
walking around some more, he checked the mirror to check if there's anything on his face, well except those marks on his cheeks, he brushed his hand past it knowing it was with him since he was born.
"is my soulmate even alive?"
some get unlucky knowing their other half had passed away and left them. death wasn't something you could escape and being lonely knowing there's nobody else to see you or love you is painful.
"what am I even thinking? I could get through life alone"
he slapped himself weakly at the exact moment someone rang the doorbell.
"kookie! come out!"
Hobi's voice was heard through the door and it was undeniably loud for some reason and you can hear them singing loudly before he opened the door.
"come on! let's partyyy~"
"can't we just party here?"
Jungkook groaned, he suddenly didn't want to go out because of the cold air that hit him when he opened the door.
"what are we gonna do here? sleep-over?
yoongi rolled his eyes and pulled Jungkook out before locking the door himself.
"kook you need to get out once in a while"
Jimin walked beside Jungkook as the others walked in front of them, singing happily and Hobi hyping them up.

"why?"
"well we don't want you to turn 65 and just live with cats"
chuckling at the image of him adopting tons of cats made him look at Jimin.
"you're lucky you have Yoongi hyung and Hoseok hyung"
there were two people that took care of Jimin and sometimes Jungkook couldn't help but envy Jimin because he had someone that could hold him when he needed it.
"i am, don't worry Kook you'll find your soulmate one day"
he assured Jungkook as he patted his back, Jimin had three marks, his own mark, Yoongi's mark and Hobi's mark. he had two soulmates and it was a rare case that's why they were all confused at first.
"how did it feel like when you first met them?"
"well, I felt dizzy, I almost passed out"
he chuckled remembering the times where he first encountered Hoseok and Yoongi in the fastfood restaurant.
"well this is it!"
they stopped in front of a club named Rozzy.
weird name.
He wasn't hyped up or anything so he thought maybe he should just sit down and watch the hyungs instead of looking like a zombie on the dance floor.
"Jungkook, you coming?"
Namjoon waited for Jungkook to walk in and join them but he was stuck there, he felt sorry for the boy for third wheeling, but it couldn't he helped with the way he couldn't meet his soulmate.
"yeah yeah, go ahead hyung, i'll just sit there"
pointing at the isolated area, Jungkook walked, not waiting for Namjoon and Jin's response to him sitting out.
"funny how I joined them out but it's like i'm caging myself in"
why the fuck am I talking to myself?
he sounded crazy as he sat there and watched his hyungs laugh and dance crazily while being squished by other people's bodies, he just couldn't bare the thought of having someone's sweaty body pressed against yours.

out of nowhere, he saw someone approach his hyungs and talk to Jimin for a solid minute before looking his way, he blushed when he saw the man smirk as he caught jungkook looking at him.
looking down, Jungkook didn't bother looking up anymore since he was too embarrassed to even see where the man is going until he felt a presence beside him.
"hi"
a deep voice, that's what surprised Jungkook making him flinch for a second and look up immediately, making the person next to him laugh.
"cute"
blushing at the remark, he nodded and hated the feeling of this, he wasn't even sure why he was even feeling this, it felt so unfamiliar.
"hello"
Jungkook couldn't even make eye contact with the stranger when he greeted him.
"Jimin told me that your name was Juankook?"
who the hell is Juankook?
"Juankook?"
Jungkook finally lifted his head up to raise an eyebrow at the stranger, he was confused that he might have the wrong person but he couldn't speak anymore when the visual beside him smiled.
"Am I mistaken?"
"The name is JUNGkook"
"oh, JUNGkook"
both of them laughed as they emphasized the JUNG in his name, this random person had a certain aura around him that makes Jungkook comfortable but he was also confused.
"nice to meet you JUNGkook, the name's Taehyung, a friend of Jimin's"
Taehyung reached out his hand for Jungkook to shake and he gladly accepted it but after they did, it felt like Jungkook's head was hit and it made him dizzy, making him stand up and so did Taehyung who was now clutching onto his head and reaching out to Jungkook.
"Well, I felt dizzy, I almost passed out"
Jimin's voice rang and he knew this was it. it was finally the moment where he realized.
Taehyung was his soulmate.
looking at the man who was now on the floor, Jungkook approached him and held onto his hand, looking at his face, he saw his marks on Taehyung's cheeks, it was slightly visible but he knew it was gonna show more sooner.
carrying the poor boy, he sat him down as he felt dizzy himself, standing up- he felt Taehyung clutch onto him, suddenly pulling him down he got a kiss.
his first damn kiss
"what's happening here?"
jin ran towards the two men that had been causing a ruckus that made all of the boys run to them.
"w-we.. Taehyung is-"
"is that his mark on your forehead?"
Namjoon stepped out and touched Jungkook's forehead
"you're soulmates"
realization hit the five of them as they stared at Jungkook and Taehyung, back and forth.
and when Taehyung finally got to stand up, he went for Jungkook and stared at him like he wanted to say something.
before anything can come out of his mouth, Jungkook's eyes widened and did the only thing he could do.
he ran.

Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.
