《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》To Sokovia

The flight to Sokovia would take us just under two hours. That meant two hours for us to prepare for a fight.
Clint was flying the quinjet with Nat as co-pilot. Bruce was listening to music to try and calm his nerves. Tony and Steve were talking with Thor about the scepter and what to do once they had it. Loki and I sat next to each other, but he wasn't touching me like he normally was. He was giving me space, which I appreciated because my nerves were all over the place. It only got worse as we got closer to our destination. I closed my eyes to focus on my breathing and bring my heart rate down.
"Are you alright, Sister?" Thor asked. I opened my eyes to see Thor standing in front of me.
"Ya, just..." I couldn't finish my sentence.
...Nervous? Anxious? Scared? Excited? Terrified?
The answer was simply yes. All of it. It was a lot to feel all at once.
"You've been through many battles. I'm sure you will excel in this one as you did the others." Thor said proudly.
"I'm not worried about this battle, Thor." I explained and smiled softly at him. "I know we'll do fine."
"Fifteen minutes out." Natasha called back.
"Loki," I said and turned to him. "Please be careful." I couldn't worry about him. I had to worry about keeping myself safe because it wasn't just me anymore.
"I will if you will." He told me seriously.
"Promise?" I asked and held out my pinky finger. He raised one eyebrow and smiled at me. We had watched enough movies that he knew what a pinky promise was. I didn't care if it was childish, it was still a valid way of promising something.
"Promise." Loki agreed and hooked his pinky finger to mine. He then leaned down and kissed the tops of my knuckles. "Am I forgiven yet?" He asked.
"Loki," I sighed. "I forgave you the moment you understood why I was mad and apologized. That's all I could ask for, validation." I explained.

"Noted." He smiled and pulled me into his side. I relaxed a bit and chuckled when he kissed my temple.
"You two ready?" Steve asked. I nodded and looked up at him.
"As I'll ever be." I told him with a sigh. "You have our comms, Tony?" I questioned.
"You haven't put up your hood yet, have you?" Tony asked randomly.
"Uhm, no, not yet." I said hesitantly. "Why?"
"Just do it." He told me. I scoffed as I sat up and slowly put the hood of my suit up.
As soon as it was up there was a small click before a hologram lit up around my left forearm. I looked down to see controls.
"Uhm...what?" I asked, confused as to what was going on. I turned my wrist to see that the hologram circled my wrist.
"Make a fist and turn your wrist counter clockwise." Tony instructed. "Slowly." He added.
I did what he said and it suddenly got very quiet. I looked up and tilted my head at Tony when he spoke, I couldn't hear anything. I reached up to my ear with my hand to feel a small earbud in my ear. I turned my wrist counter clockwise again and all the noise around me came back, but it sounded clearer, enhanced.
"Wow..." I said.
"Can you hear me, Skydive?" Tony asked.
"Ya, uh, really well actually." I huffed, amused.
"Sound enhancers. It will filter out sounds for you. Louder sounds won't be as loud, softer sounds not as soft." He explained. "And that's not even the coolest part. Make a fist with your hand and flick your wrist up, toward you." He said.
I, again, did what he told me and a clear glass rectangle pulled out in front of my right eye.
"And the final touches." Tony said. "Say, Activate." He told me.
"Activate." I repeated.
I blinked rapidly for a second as a light was projected into my eye. After my vision adjusted, I could see the stats of everyone I looked at. The distance they were from me and how fast they were moving. I also had an energy meter on the right side of my vision. It was a bar that ran vertically up and down my field of sight.

"Welcome, Skydive." A digitalized female voice said into my earbuds. It was different from F.R.I.D.A.Y., or Karen's voice, though.
"Ok, I feel like I'm in a video game." I laughed. "Does she have a name?"
"L.I.V." Tony said. "L.I.V. does everything J.A.R.V.I.S. can, but she's specialized for you and your abilities."
"Awesome!" I said excitedly. "Now I get to look just as crazy talking to L.I.V. as you do talking to J.A.R.V.I.S."
"And, look at that, it took you two minutes longer than it usually does to ruin the moment." Tony sarcastically told me.
"Damn, I'm really slipping, huh?" I replied.
"Well, you're having a rough day." Tony responded.
"It's tragic, really." I sighed and shook my head.
"Alright," Steve interrupted our bantering. "Everyone get ready. It's about to get a lot more dangerous. Let's go over the plan one more time so that we're all on the same page." He told us. "Thor, can you tap on Banner?"
Thor turned and tapped on Bruce's shoulder to get his attention. Bruce opened his eyes and looked around at us before taking his headphones off.
"We there already?" He asked.
"Almost." Steve replied. I sat back into my seat and leaned into Loki again while I listened. "Clint and Nat you'll be hitting the Southeast section. Thor, Sammee, Loki, and I will take the Southwest. Take out as many bunkers and towers as you can. Bruce, we'll call you if there's a code green. Tony will go ahead and scope out the main base. We'll have about six minutes of surprise factor on our side, so make them count. Any questions?" He asked when he was done.
"Nope."
"Got it!"
"Aye, Aye, Captain!"
Everyone said at once. Steve nodded and looked around the room.
"Anyone have anything to add?" He asked.
"Yep," I called out. "If I give a command, follow it immediately. No questions asked. I'll try to explain as much as possible later." I told everyone. "You've just got to trust me."
"Will do, Sammee. Anyone else?" Steve asked. "Ok, then let's do this. Watch each other's back. I want us all to make it back."
When Steve said that, everyone turned to look at me.
"H-hey, whoa, Clint was the one to get hurt last time!" I protested.
"That bullet barely touched me!" Clint yelled back to us.
"Still counts!" I argued.
"Didn't you teleport into a table the other day?" Tony asked.
"Yes." Loki answered for me.
"The table barely touched me." I said, mocking Clint.
"Still counts!" Clint echoed me.
"Well, none of that." Steve told us. "I don't want to be up till three AM because one of you got hit."
"Ya, people. Capsicle's bedtime is at nine sharp!" Tony teased. "Lighten up, would ya? You're scarin' the kids."
"Tony, I'm serious." Steve scolded.
"So am I. Pull the stick out of your high strung ass." Tony responded. Steve turned to fully look at Tony as they started arguing.
"Uh-oh," I sighed quietly and leaned closer so only Loki would hear. "Mommy and Daddy are fighting again."
Loki snorted as he tried not to laugh.
"Skydive, you're wearing my tech. Do you really think I don't have the same sound enhancements?" Tony asked. I pursed my lips like a child getting caught.
"Sorry." I mumbled as I hid my smile.
"Five minutes!" Natasha called out. "Hey, Steve, it looks like they have a couple of vehicles up for grabs." She said sarcastically.
"Sounds convenient." I laughed.
"Very."
