《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》A Bit of Fun

"You're cheating!" Sam yelled and pointed at the final ball I just pocketed.
"I don't have to cheat to kick your ass, Wilson." I taunted.
"Nah, you definitely used your woo-woo magic to teleport the ball closer to the pocket." Sam accused jokingly.
"Just accept that she beat you, buddy." Steve laughed and clapped Sam on the shoulder.
"Fine, rematch. I want my twenty back." Sam told me.
"Keep your twenty." I laughed and set the pool cue down. "I'm going to go grab a drink." I told them and started heading toward the bar. "Hey," I smiled at the bartender and leaned in so he could hear me. "Could I just have a sprite, please?"
"Sure thing." He nodded and smiled back before turning to get what I ordered.
I turned and leaned back on the bar to look for Loki. He came to check on me when Sam and I were in the middle of our game, but Thor pulled him away again.
I found him talking to Bruce. Those two were actually becoming really great friends, even though Hulk still didn't like Loki very much. Loki once told me that Bruce was the only one of the others to hold an intelligent conversation. He knew Tony was brilliant, but he found him far too immature, which I thought hysterical.
"He's hot, right?" Some girl in a tight gold dress asked me. She was with a friend that looked a little more modest, not that I really cared. They could wear what they wanted.
"Hmm?" I asked.
"Loki, you were just staring at him. Him and his brother, Thor..." She sucked in a deep breath like she needed it to continue. "God, they're hot." She said and turned to lean against the bar next to me so she could see Loki and Thor. "Amber here is all about Thor, but I'm more into the bad boy vibe."
"Sure." I nodded. She obviously had no idea who I was. "But they're both taken." I mentioned, wanting to know how she'd react.

"That means nothing to a man." She scoffed.
"I bet it does to them." I told her.
"One sprite." The bartender said and sat my drink down in front of me. I turned to grab it and took a sip.
"I'm Melody, by the way, and this is Amber." She introduced. I just hummed in acknowledgment, not giving my name. Apparently, that didn't matter because Melody went on. "Men want women that keep them entertained." The woman beside me spoke. "But if someone more entertaining comes by..." She smirked and waved her hand down her short dress. I raised an amused eyebrow.
"Interesting theory." I told her. "But you really think you could even catch his attention? He's a god and a prince, at that." I said and looked back to where Loki was now listening to Thor tell a story, very theatrically, might I add.
"Exactly!" The girl started. "I don't see his date with him, and gods like to be worshipped, do they not?" She giggled.
"You talk a big game," I chuckled. "But I don't see you with him either." I said, trying to bait her. "I bet he wouldn't even bat an eye in your direction." I waited for her to bite. This party was starting to get boring anyway.
"Please," Melody scoffed. "He's only with that 'Angel' chick because she was easy." Melody said. Good, so she did know of me at least. "What do you wanna bet she traded 'favors' during that battle. He hasn't been out of the tower that much. He doesn't know he has options."
"Then why don't you go tell him that, if you're so confident." I told her and took another sip from my drink.
"Fine. Green is my color, anyway." She said and started walking. "Try not to get jealous." Melody turned her head and winked at me.
I watched as she sauntered over to where Loki was, swaying her hips dramatically to accentuate her curves. She was gorgeous, I'd give her that, but I was confident in my relationship. I just wanted to have a little fun.

"I'm sorry about Melody." Amber, Melody's friend, told me. "She can come off a little strong."
"It's fine." I chuckled. "Don't worry about it." I brushed off her apology and focused back on Loki.
Melody had her hand on the back of his chair and was saying something to everyone in that little group. She looked like she was introducing herself, but she only offered her hand to Loki. He, as expected, ignored her. She seemed to brush it off rather quickly as she lowered herself to sit on the arm of his chair.
I saw Thor glance to me to see if I was going to intervene and I had to cover my mouth to hide my laugh. Melody was trying hard. For any other guy, it might have worked, but not Loki. She was just annoying him more and more. I had to keep an eye on him to make sure he didn't pull a knife on her.
When Melody leaned into Loki and touched his hair, he finally had enough. He stood from his chair and tried to walk past her, but she stood with him and blocked his path. She tried to rest her hands on his chest to persuade him to stay, but Loki caught her hands and, with a roll of his eyes, tossed her aside. Melody fell sideways into the chair and I couldn't hold in my laugh as I watched.
Loki's eyes turned to me and he tilted his head like he knew what I was doing. I turned to face the bar as I laughed.
"Is- is he coming over here?" Amber asked me with wide eyes. I could feel Loki's presence at my back before I could even answer her.
"Did you enjoy that?" Loki asked in my ear as his arms went to cage me in. I bit my bottom lip to try and stop smiling.
"I- have no idea what you're referring to." I told him.
"Hmm." Loki hummed. "Were you testing my loyalty, or teaching a lesson?" He asked. I laughed again and quickly slammed my hand over my mouth. "Teaching a lesson." Loki said like I just confirmed it. I finally turned to face him and stopped trying to hide my smile.
"I got bored." I told him with a shy shrug.
"Did you?" Loki asked with raised brows. "Kitten, next time you want attention-" he started and leaned down to kiss me, stopping centimeters from my lips. "Just ask." He finished and finally kissed me.
I giggled when I pulled away.
"Oh, come on," I teased. "You can handle a little mischief."
Loki scoffed playfully and shook his head.
"U-uh..." I heard Amber stutter from next to me.
"Oh, sorry." I said and turned to her. "Amber, this is Loki. Loki, Amber." I introduced. Loki looked at her like he couldn't care less. "She apologized for Melody's behavior toward me, even though she had nothing to apologize for since she wasn't the rude one." I explained. Loki relaxed a little at my explanation.
"It is lovely to meet you, Amber." Loki said and held out his hand toward her. Amber blinked at me for a second before taking his hand and quickly releasing it.
"I'm so sorry about Melody." She said again. "We didn't know who you were and-"
"Amber," I interrupted. "Seriously, it's ok. You did nothing wrong. You're not the one that should be apologizing."
"I know," Amber told me. "But we're just here as plus ones and I don't want to get kicked out for insulting an Avenger."
"No ones getting kicked out." I told her.
"Well..." Loki started.
"Loki..." I scolded. "They are guests here. We are not kicking them out."
"Well, obviously not this one." He said and gestured to Amber. "But the other one-"
"No." I told him firmly. "She learned her lesson, and I had my fun. Let her be."
