The Eye of Agamotto contained the power of the Time Stone, basically putting a mystical lock on it. I didn't know how I was going to open it, but I guessed I'd have to figure that out later. I reached my hand out for it, but was stopped when a glowing whip wrapped around my arm.
"I already told you, I am not letting you steal the Eye." Wong told me and pulled me back hard by my arm. I flipped and rolled to my feet.
I didn't have any of my weapons, and I didn't like that. I couldn't fight long range, like I normally did. I had to fight hand-to-hand. And that meant getting up close and personal.
I teleported behind Wong and kicked the back of his knee to make him buckle and fall to the ground. I surprised him and used that surprise to my advantage. When he fell, I hit him hard, directly aimed at his temple. He fell like a ton of bricks.
I wanted to feel bad, but I couldn't. It was like I suddenly didn't have the capacity to care because I was already feeling too much. I was overwhelmed, and numb as a result.
I teleported back to the Eye and took it off it's display stand.
"Sammee."
I spun around to face the Ancient One directly. She still looked as calm as ever in her yellow robe. Her hands were clasped and resting in front of her as she looked down at Wong.
"Violence is not necessary here." She said calmly and looked back up at me.
"He got in my way." I told her. "Much like you, at the moment."
"You're grieving. Don't do anything rash that you'll regret later."
"As long as I get my daughter back, I don't care what happens, or what I have to do to get her." I said seriously before gesturing to Wong. "He'll be fine. He's just knocked out." I explained before teleporting out of the Kamra-Taj, or I tried to.

Everything around me fractured into almost mirror-like reflections. It was disorienting and I couldn't figure out which way was up or down. I was stuck in the mirror dimension with the Ancient One.
"Hand over the Stone, Sammee." She said just as calm as before and outstretched one of her pale arms.
"Smart." I commented and looked around. "You trapped me in the mirror dimension... you know I can't get out without a ring." I sighed and looked at her hand. The sling ring fit over two of her fingers and was the only way to get out of the mirror dimension. "But you're also trapped, and I have a few tricks of my own." I smirked and saw the calm expression on the Ancient One's face falter. Nothing, and I meant nothing, would get in the way of getting my daughter back.
I felt powerful, like there was a constant buzz of power right under my skin just begging to be let free. I didn't hold back. She wasn't the only one who could shift reality.
I slammed my foot down and the ground beneath me started to roll. It looked like waves rushing toward the Ancient One. That wasn't enough to stop her, of course. She just manipulated the building so we were standing on one of the walls.
"Sammee, you're letting your darkness consume you." The Ancient One said.
I ignored her and tried to teleport closer to her, but she started to rotate the room again and I didn't stick my landing very well. Teleportation to or off of a moving platform needed to be calculated just right. It was fair to say that I wasn't giving myself time for the calculations before trying to teleport again.
I teleported and, again, didn't stick the landing. With how everything was turning, my foot slipped under me as I fell. An audible 'snap' was heard as my ankle folded. It should have hurt, but it was like I was separated from all feeling. Nothing hurt or felt like anything at all.

I tried to stand, but my ankle wouldn't hold my weight and I fell to the ground again.
"Stay down, Sammee. You're injured. This isn't the way to get her back. Let your friends help you grieve." The Ancient one told me and stopped the room from spinning. "Look at your hands. Your darkness is taking over.
If you let it consume you, you'll be lost to us."
Darkness was starting to crawl up my hands, starting from my fingertips. It looked as if I painted my hands black. The dark markings stopped about mid-palm, but it was slowly swirling up my skin.
"This isn't the path you were meant to take. Let me help you." The Ancient One said and took a step toward me.
"Help?" I asked in disbelief. "Now you wanna 'help'?" I spat the word like venom; the dark, inky black on my skin picking up pace slightly. "I don't need any 'help' from you." I felt my power strengthen as my anger grew. "I don't need anything from you."
I pushed myself off the ground again and put all my weight on my good leg. I wasn't just angry anymore, I was furious.
"You preach about staying on the right path and away from darkness when your power comes from the very dimension darkness does." I told her.
Her expression didn't change from its neutral look. The Ancient One, sorcerer supreme and protector of Earth, warned about the dangers of the Dark Dimension and forbid all from drawing power from it when she herself used its power to live longer.
Her lack of reaction just further pissed me off and I scoffed.
"But, the rules don't apply to you, do they?" I asked condescendingly. I felt a scorching heat spread throughout my body. It started in my chest and continued until it reached my toes and fingertips.
"You're not thinking clearly." The Ancient One tried to reason, but I was at a point of no return. There was so much pent up rage that I needed to let it out.
I felt my feet leave the ground as the power engulfed me. I felt like I was on fire, but I also felt incredible... invincible even.
Black tendrils of energy manifested around me and my eyes and hair turned black. As my power grew, I could feel the Ancient Ones consciousness. I couldn't feel it before. Probably because the barrier I had to push through to enthrall her felt like a wall of concrete.
I pushed, but couldn't get passed the wall. That didn't mean that it didn't affect her, though. The Ancient one grabbed her head and grunted in pain. She hunched forwarded when I pushed at her mental barrier again.
"What- what are you doing?" She asked in a gasp of breath.
It was hard for her to talk through the pain. Her barrier wavered slightly, but still held strong. I didn't care as much about enthralling her anymore. I had a way to hurt her without getting close.
"Get me out of the mirror dimension and I'll make it stop." I told her and pushed my consciousness toward her until she was on her knees. I backed off then to give her a chance to speak.
"Then you'll have to kill me, because I'm not letting you out of here with the Eye." The Ancient One said and got back to her feet. Her legs were a little shaky under her, like a newborn foal standing for the first time, but she stood to her full height. A flash of extreme rage and power went through me and one of the black tendrils lashed out and hit the wall.
The Ancient One and I both froze and stared at where the tendril hit. Something that neither of us knew was possible happened. The mirror dimension... cracked.
