《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》A Phone Call

The next morning I was in the kitchen cleaning up when my phone rang. I picked it up, without looking at the caller ID, as I wiped the countertops down.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hello, this is Angela with Sunnyside obgyn care. Am I speaking with Ms. Sammee Smith?" The woman on the phone asked. I paused my cleaning and stood up straight.
"Uhm, yes, this is she." I responded confusedly and leaned against the counter.
"Hi, Ms. Smith. I'm just calling because you missed your appointment this morning. Would you like to reschedule?" The woman asked.
"I'm sorry?" I asked before shaking my head. "I never made an appointment with you guys." I explained.
"Oh, our system is showing that you had an appointment. Are you sure you didn't?" The woman asked.
"Very sure." I assured her.
"Hmm, that's very strange. I'll let scheduling know there was a mistake. Sorry about that."
"No worries, thank you for calling." I politely told her.
"Absolutely, have a good rest of your day, Ms. Smith."
"You, too." I told her before hanging up and looking at the caller ID. As long as I was thinking about doctors, I pulled up Dr. Raynor's number and called her. I hadn't gotten my antidepressants yet. Her lunch break should just have been about over, so hopefully she picked up.
"Yes, Sammee?" Dr. Raynor answered on the third ring.
"Hey, didn't mean to cut your break short, but I still haven't gotten my pills yet." I explained.
"What?" She asked, suddenly very serious. "I sent them to mail order days ago." Raynor told me and sighed. "Ok, give me an hour, I'll figure it out and give you another call." She said and hung up before hearing my response. I scoffed as I pulled the phone from my ear, but knew she'd take care of it.

"Hey, Skydive." Tony called to me as he walked into the kitchen. I glanced over my shoulder at him.
"Hey, when'd you get here?" I asked and put my phone back into my pocket before turning and crossing my arms over my chest.
"Just now. What, am I not allowed to drop in to my compound whenever I want?" He asked.
"Did I say that?" I rolled my eyes at him and questioned.
"No, but your body language suggests it." He told me. "Today's training day!" He added happily. "You really think I'd miss training day with the new recruits?"
He was right, today was the first day of our training. I still thought it was ridiculous that I was added in this 'training', but Steve, Nat, and Tony still insisted.
"All you're going to do is laugh at them when they mess up." I smirked.
"Correction," Tony said and held up a finger, "all I'm going to do is laugh at you when you mess up." He told me and pointed his finger at me.
"I don't need to train." I grumbled. "I can kick both of their asses with my eyes closed."
"Someones cocky." Tony teased. "But, really, you know exactly why you need to train." He told me seriously.
"It's too dangerous. What if I hurt one of them?" I sighed and rubbed my forehead.
"If you don't learn to control it, there's a greater chance you will." Tony said. "Or an innocent." He added before walking over and putting his arm around my shoulder, making me look over at him. "We're all going to help. You don't have to figure this out alone this time." Tony told me, referring to HYDRA's way of training.
I could feel a strange ping of guilt go through me, but I couldn't figure out why. It was strange, like it wasn't my emotions I was feeling, but it made sense when I looked at Tony. I could see the slight guilt in his eyes and knew that it was his guilt I felt. Now I had to figure out how I was able to feel it, but first I had to reassure Tony.

"Nothing about HYDRA was your fault, Tony." I told him. "None of it." I shook my head. He smiled sadly and squeezed me to him for a second before we heard people coming into the kitchen. Tony quickly let me go and turned to where the voices were coming from.
I smiled when I recognized Loki and Frigga's voices coming down the corridor. When they were in view, Tony tilted his head in confusion. I laughed slightly at his confused state, causing Loki to stop mid story to look for me. Frigga soon followed her sons gaze to see me and Tony still standing in the kitchen.
"I was wondering where we might find you." Frigga smiled with a small laugh. "Loki was just telling me of your new abilities."
I turned my head back to Loki and raised a brow at him. He immediately looked like a child caught doing something they weren't supposed to.
"Was he, now?" I asked without looking away from him.
"Don't be upset, dear. He thought I could help since I had more experience." Frigga's calm voice finally pulled my gaze from Loki.
"I'm sorry- no wait, I'm actually not- who are you?" Tony asked causing Loki to puff up in defense of his mother.
"Loki," I warned before turning to Tony. "Tony, this is Queen Frigga of Asgard." I told him. Tony nodded slowly.
"Uhuh, so, what, we traded one alien for another?" He asked, making me snort.
"No," Frigga chuckled, "I won't be staying long. Just wanted to check up on my children."
My chest got that warm feeling again and I glanced at Loki to see him give me a small smile. He loved that his mother and I adored each other.
"And, you are?" Frigga asked kindly.
"Tony Stark, this is my compound." He told her. Loki rolled his eyes at him.
"Ignore him, Mother. I do." Loki said to Frigga, but she just waved off her son.
"So you must be the Man of Iron I've been hearing about." Frigga continued the conversation, still smiling kindly at Tony.
"It's Ironman, actually, and yes. I'm glad my reputation reaches across the universe." Tony smirked.
"As does your idiocy." Loki added. Tony narrowed his eyes at him.
"I could just as easily kick you out." Tony told him causing Loki to smirk now.
"Which you would never do since that would also mean kicking Sammee out. You know she would always choose me."
"He's right." I nodded casually. Tony turned his head and frowned at me.
"I would threaten to send you to S.H.I.E.L.D., but they don't really exist anymore, so I'm out of options." Tony grumbled.
"Eh, they'll come back. Give them a few years." I shrugged.
"They're like cockroaches, they never stay dead."
"You could technically say the same about Loki, though." I smiled teasingly. Loki started walking up to me slowly. "Is this a good time to run?" I asked no one in particular.
"Probably, dear." Frigga chimed in and I nodded before taking off in the other direction.
