"Okay. Goodnight." Mom says hugging me.
I smile and go upstairs. I shut my room door and my phone rings.
"Hey babe." I say.
"I'm flying to Chicago to come see you for Christmas." Alexa says.
Last Christmas on my own
This Christmas, you come home
"Wow, I thought you forgot that I lived on Earth." I say.
I thought you went Frozone
But now I'm not alone (Alone)
"Zendaya literally driving me to the airport right now." Alexa says.

"Surprised you're still alive." I say.
"Not funny." Zendaya says.
We laugh and I smile.
"I land at like 5 PM central." Alexa says.
"I'll be waiting." I say.
"Love you, bye." Alexa says.
"Love you too." I say before she hangs up.
Time Skip
"You're drinking coffee?" I ask.
Hot cocoa in your arms (Oh)
"It's decaf." Alexa says.
"What's yours is mine." I say taking the cup from her.
Every season is ours
I take a sip and hand it back to her.
"Hey, it's cold outside." I say as Alexa stares at me.
Baby, come, it's freezing outside
"Yeah, I know. I waited outside for 10 minutes because you were late at picking me up." Alexa says.
Waitin' for the plane to arrive
"We're back." Dad says coming inside.
Tommy puts the wood in the fireplace and dad lights the wood on fire.
Need you by the fireplace tonight
Gettin' cold, I need you inside
"Who are you?" Dad asks looking at Alexa.
"This is Alexa." I say.
"It's so nice to finally meet you." Dad says shaking her hand.

"Y/n/n." Mom calls.

"I was honestly starting to think that she wasn't real. You never told us her last name." Tommy says.
"Whatever. I'm just glad that I'm stressed anymore. I thought I would never see her ever again." I say.
On set, no stress
"I would've just broke up with her. How can I love you when I hardly see you? The distance can make you wonder if they've been faithful the whole time." Tommy says.
Love is gone, still the same

"What if she never felt it?" Tommy asks.
Her lovin', she don't really mean it
"That just proves my point that you are a stupid ass motherfucker." I say.
I walk away and go back upstairs.
"Not to be rude or anything. How are you 27 and you still live with your parents?" Alexa says.
"They live with me." I say.
"Oh shit, my bad." Alexa says.
I laugh and she smiles.
"A lot for people think that." I say.
"Come close." Alexa says.
"Why?" I ask.
"You heard me." Alexa says.

I take a step further and she looks up. I look up and see a mistletoe on the ceiling. I smile and she kisses me.
She's a tease, I admit

"Despite it beyond my house, my dad controls the AC." I say laying beside her.
"Our house!" Dad shouts.
"Are we going to be doing long-distance forever?" I ask.

"Right now I just need you to shut up and cuddle with me." She mumbles.

I smile and move closer to her.

This is the first time I’ve published anything, and basically the first time I’ve written anything more than mandatory school-stuff. The story will probably have inconsistencies, grammatical errors (not my native tongue, though that excuse is getting old), and potentially confusing (missing?) plot. I will naturally do my best to write something worth reading, but my main goal in writing this story is to have fun and explore the limits of my own creativity. My hope in publishing it here, is that I’ll reach someone who enjoy the story, and can push me forward towards writing more, as it is difficult at times to find the motivation to write just for myself. Additionally, I can’t really promise to have regular updates, as I have a full-time job that often likes to take the ‘full-time’ part literally, and a sporadic social life that occasionally surprises me (happy surprises mostly, so I shouldn’t complain).
