Hagrid carried me over his shoulder, and took me too the hospital wing.
He set me down on a bed, and the nurse came to tend to me.
"I'm sorry, kid." Hagrid said, I couldn't even look at him.
I knew if I did, I would start bawling again.
Hagrid slowly nodded, as he walked away.
I broke two knuckles on my left hand, I guess I hit the ground pretty hard.
The nurse made me drink that terrible tasting potion, to help me heal the bones faster.
Every gulp made me gag.
That shit was vile.
It tasted like warm milk that was already in someone else's mouth.
So there I sat, covered in my own blood and tears, with a wrapped hand.
I stared at the wall in front of me, as the tears fell from my eyes.
I silently cried to myself.
My whole world had gone to shit.
First this shit with Draco, and now this?!
That's when, Hermione and Ron walked in.
The both pulled up chairs to the left side of my bed.
"How are you feeling?" Ron asked me.
I looked up at him, and glared.
"I feel like a million bucks, thanks for fucking asking." I spat at him.
Hermione smacked him in the back of the head.
"I'm sorry..." Hermione began, "I'm sorry about Cedrick, I'm sorry about your hand, I'm sorry for being such a bad friend."
She rambled on, before she buried her face into her hands.
Hermione began to cry softly.
"Yeah, sorry for watching you on the map. It was my idea after all." Ron looked at the ground as he spoke.
Hermione quickly swallowed her cries.
"You're two little evil cockroaches." I hissed at them.
"I know looking through your things and watching you wasn't right, but were trying to protect you. We know how Malfoy is...." Hermione trailed off.

"I've known him the same amount of time as you two. We aren't going to agree on this, so just drop it and leave it at the apology. Or do you want to start yet another 3 month long argument? My friend just fucking died." I yelled at them.
"Again, I'm sorry. We will leave you for the night then." Hermione nodded as she motioned for Ron to get up.
They both left the hospital wing.
Cedricks dad came to check up on me, I offered him the hat that Cedrick put on my head.
He declined saying 'he gave that to you, he would have wanted you to keep it'.
You could see the pain in his eyes.
That night I laid awake, and stared at the ceiling.
How could this happen?
Why did Cedrick have to die?
I feel so selfish for feeling bad for myself.
The door creaked open.
The footsteps that echoed across the floor, grew closer.
The curtin surrounding me, giving me somewhat privacy, slipped open slightly.
Draco Malfoy slid in, closing the curtin behind him.
"What are you doing here? It's the middle of the night." I asked him.
I winced, as I pushed myself into the sitting position.
"Just wanted to make sure you're alright." Draco sat at the foot of my bed.
"Right, after not speaking to me for weeks... you decided to talk to me now..." I rolled my eyes.
"Hearing you scream and cry like that.... it hurt to see that." Draco whispered, as he looked me in the eyes.
I turned, and looked away from him.
"So you're only doing this, so you don't feel bad. You don't care. You had all the opportunity to try to talk to me, and you didnt. " I shook my head. "so, fuck you."

Draco stood up, and went to the little stand next to me.
He dug around, and pulled out a cloth.
Draco stepped out of the 'room', quickly returning, with a now damp cloth.
Draco sat next to my abdomen now, he began wiping my face with the cloth.
"What are you doing?" I swatted his hand away.
Draco firmly pushed my hand back into my lap.
"Your face has blood, and dirt on it. They didn't even bother to clean you up. " Draco shook his head, as he continued to wipe my face down.
I laid my head back into my pillow, as Draco went on to wipe down my arms.
I wasn't going to win against him.
I was too tired to fight against him.
"I would have talked to you if it was that simple. Your friends... and my friends.... they made everything sort of a mess...." Draco continued to speak, as he cleaned in between my fingers and under my nails.
"Yeah, I guess." I sighed, as he took care of the dirty rag.
"Where do we even stand at this point?" Draco asked me.
He took my hand as he kneeled at my bed side.
"It's hard to tell, everything went so bad so quickly. Too much happened at once." My voice began to shake.
I couldn't stop thinking about Cedrick, and how he was gone.
I couldn't get the image of him out of my head, the way his eyes looked as he laid there.
It was burned into my memory.
"I guess do what we did before, pretend that we hate each other. Maybe, over the summer it might change. The world seems to be flipping upside down, nothing is guaranteed anymore. Can you promise me something?" Draco inched closer to me.
He was so close, I could feel his warm breath hit the skin of my neck.
"Whats that?" I quietly replied.
"If everything goes bad, like really bad. Like if the world was ending, you'd come find me... and I'll come find you. No matter where we stand, friends or not, we both would at least have each other in the end?" Draco's voice was, quiet and soft.
Maybe he truly did care.
Maybe he was just scared to be alone.
"As long as you can make the same promise to me."
I looked at Draco.
With the small amount of light in the room, I could see the sadness in his eyes.
"I promise." Draco held his hand out.
"I promise." I took his hand, and shook it.
