Meeting the Millers Chapter 2

••
You never realise how crazy life can get unless you sit and think. I tend to avoid my thoughts because I like to think of them as drugs, doing too much of it can leave a negative affect but then again there are some positives to it. They help you decide on what you want to feel or what you wanna do, they alert you of the dangers around you and all that shit. But back to the negatives, if your an over thinker like me then you know how thoughts can keep you up all night and that they can lead to anxiety
The only reason I mention this is because I've had a lot of time to think lately. Think about things such as my best friend -or should I say ex- June and how she stopped talking to me. And it's not the kind of thing where she became the queen bee of the school and started hating me or shit like that, she just slowly faded away. I'd ask why but I think it's better to pretend that you don't give a shit at all, it works better that way. Anyway that was months ago, I still have my other two closest friends Sienna and Zoe, I won't lie and say that I tell them everything that I would tell June but the bond is still there.
Defining my school life is pretty much simple, I pass all my classes, earn A's and B's, I stay out of trouble.... Unless I cause it. It's pretty hard for me to get myself involved in all that shit, especially with the family that I have. My older brothers like to take it upon themselves to make sure that no one comes after me personally, but hey I'm not complaining. I do the exact same with our younger siblings, there's seven of us in total for those interested. And everyone knows that when you've got a big family, shit can get chaotic real quick. In terms of relationships with my parents, I'm closer with dad.... I'll be honest, my mom annoys the shit out of me. Nothing much to add, those that get it get it.

Our school gave everybody two weeks off due to the fact that they were going under construction and if you can't tell already, I'm not excited to go back at all.
But life goes on
The front door slams shut and I keep my eyes on the tv, "Hey"
My oldest brother sits on the couch beside me before drinking from his bottle of beer, "Hey"
"Where've you been, it's almost midnight?" I frown
"Well Mom if you must know, I was getting pussy" Daniel replies
I hit him on the arm with disgust, "Demasiada information"
"You asked" He says amused
And I regret doing that
"If your staying over then you have to sleep in Enzo's room"
"Where's mom and dad?" He questions
"Working late shifts"
We hear footsteps run down the stairs, "Who is it? Daniel!" Matteo says excitedly before jumping onto our brother
Daniel looks at him with amusement, "Hey Matty"
"Why are you awake? School tomorrow, get into your pyjamas"
"You're awake" He replies to me
"And you need more hours of sleep"
"But I wanna talk to Daniel" He complains
"It's ok buddy, I'll talk to you tomorrow" Daniel promises
Matteo gets up, "Night" He mumbles before trudging up the stairs
"Are you actually going to be here tomorrow?"
Daniel lies back, "It depends, I might leave a little early for college"
"Lucky you" I mumble
"Why, what's going on with you?"
Ha, I think that questions like that are pointless. People are crazy if they think that they'd actually get an honest answer after asking that
"Nothing"
"I haven't seen June in awhile"
Why do we need to bring up that month, "You've missed ten episodes Dan, we don't speak"
He frowns, "What? Why?"
I shrug as I get up, "You'd have to ask her"
He narrows his eyes, "I'm going to bed, incase your not here in the morning. Love you"
"Buenas noches"
I take my phone with me before heading up the stairs
