《Alternate Worlds》CC: End of Things

Cosmic ends up getting a lot of focus on that line and is talked in to teaching them how to do it. She learns they all know how to meditate, which is the first step in what she does. She teaches them how she does it, explaining she learned to use different forms of hums and words to help her focus herself and work the skills that come with her kind of training. Not everyone Has to do it that way, as its all a matter of focus and belief. Still she teaches them the blessings she uses to cast out demons and how to focus their minds to that task. That part is pretty easy really as all those here have strong faith.
She spends the next week teaching anyone who is interested her exorcism techniques and some basic spiritual magic as well as basic martial arts techniques.
By the end of the week there are no Shadow Demons, Astral Parasytes or Legion demons in 5 miles of the Temple City of Suine. Several minor diseases and some other pest problems are gone to. Also a lot of very tired Elite Warriors cause she took to training them Physically to. What they learned there is they were not in as good a shape as they thought they were. Even Zene and Galford are impressed with her work out routine. Zene is finally understanding how that one tiny elf was able to beat him so easily. He really is impressed with her and even more scared of her really. Especially as she showed them all what her Other gifts could do. Several archery targets did not survive her 'practice' with full powered strikes. (1 full Force, TK wrapped fist, turned human shaped target in to confetti and shrapnal - Fire fist, burning pyre - Lightning Fist, combination of fire and blasted appart - Sub Zero attack, froze the figure solid, then she kicked it and it shattered.)

The Paladin General as well as all the high rankers in the temple got to see that display. All agree they are happy she is on their side. Otherwise they don't think they would survive her wrath.
3 days after this regiment of displays, she learns from the High Priestess that the only reason the Paladin General is in charge is there are no other high ranking persons. Cosmic informs her that the General is a coward, he has ALL their forces in the city cause he is to affraid to let them go outside and actually fight the enemy. Such tactics always fail, and he seems bound and determined to let the rest of the world die just so HE can feel safe.
Couple prayers to Suine and it comes out the Paladin General is not even a Paladin, nor even a member of the faithful. He is just a very skilled politician. Which ends when that came out. Simply because one needs to actually BE a Paladin to be in that post.
The next 3 Paladins are all the same skill rank. Galford, Tress'ol, and this girl, Anwen Blacksoul, who is a half elf Paladin, Rogue. She got the nick name 'Blacksoul' cause of her temper and lack of humanity when it comes to evil. Or what she precieves as evil at any rate. From what Cosmic has seen of her, she is just barely keeping her Paladin status as her temper and short sighted points of view do not speak well for the faith. (she picked a fight with Cosmic, not knowing who the elf was, just because Cosmic is an elf. She did not recall being knocked out in the first 4 seconds of the fight. So she tried again. Again she woke up with no memory how she got knocked out. 3rd time she tried Galford stopped her and carefully explained that the elf is a very dangerous person who kills vampires usually in one hit, cause she is Not an Elf but a Heavenly Messenger who just happens to Look like an elf.)

Cosmic thinks he is being silly. But then she wiped the floor with him a couple of times to. Sure he has fancy magic armor, magic weapons and the power of the wolf. Did no good against her tk shield and super speed. Also she cheats but no one has caught on to that just yet. (telekinesis is invisible after all. She tends to hit pressure points using the tk, on her foes. To knock them out faster.)
On the non combat side of things, her and Lazlo are becoming good friends. To the point he lets her use his kitchen when ever she wants. She always cleans up after herself and even helps out with cleaning his pots and pans while he is cooking. Her skills as a cook impresses him and he is learning a lot from her on dishes he has never even heard of, let alone tried. Which has been good for the tavern side of his place as more people are coming in to try these new food items.
On the Enemy Bases side of things. All the known ones got wiped out pretty quickly by the wolves and Cosmic, after the Paladin General was replaced by Galford. (Tress'ol did not want the post and no one trust Blacksoul with that kind of power, so it fell the the Alpha. That did not help his arrogance one bit. Cosmic wiping the floor with his face, on a few occaisions, does help keep his ego in check though.)

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.
