《An old mans tale!》Lessons learned?

"So how are you learning the car you bought child? Have you changed the oil yet? Changed the flat tire so that you know how to do it? These are all skills that young women need to know in my opnion."
"Why do you need to know them? Because without them you can easly be stranded by something as simple as a sharp rock. That is why you need to know them."
"The kindness of strangers is a great thing that has a lot of power but it is not something that should ever be relied on to carry you through the day."
"I should know because I ended up getting stuck in a desert and only got out because of the kindness of a stranger. He shared with me the most precious thing he had. Simple water."
There I was like a fool in death valley, laying under my jeep with the mirror in my hand to signal passing planes with the reflection. My jeep had overheated and I did not have anymore water for it or myself so dug out the sand from the undercarrige and waited. Waited for rescue or to die! Whichever happened first.
For 2 days I layed under that jeep in my own personal hell, waiting to die on my own. Dieing of thirst! On the third day I knew that this would be my last day on this earth and closed my eyes. No water for three days is a death sentence, and that is not counting the desert into the mix.
That is when it happened. Something rare for the desert. RAIN!
I got out from under the jeep and got everthing that I could that was capable of holding water. Made what funnels that I could and drank from the very sky while collecting all that I could. When it rains in the desert it floods, and I was almost taken away by the water but held out till the bitter end and drank till I felt sick. Drank until my belly was full. I DRANK!

After the rain was over and done with I prepared my space under my jeep and waited once more. Waited to be rescued or to die. Whichever came first. After 6 days my water was starting to be low again so I started rationing what I could. After 4 more days came the rescue that I had waited on for so long.
When they got to me it was just before dusk. They gave me what food they thought I could stomach and what water I could drink and asked me if I was ready to go home. I told them to wait with me and watch the sunset. They wandered why I would care to see it and I told them 'I was prepared for this to be the last one that I would ever see, after preparing myself for such a thing it seems wasteful to just leave without looking at it don't you think.' So we sat in silence and watched what could have been my last sunset.
I could barly see it for the tears in my eyes but what I could was magical.

Spear of Aiste
It was a beautiful day outside. The sun was shining, fluffy white clouds adorning the sky. Birds were twittering, flowers were blooming, the trees’ leaves were rustling under a gentle breeze. Spear couldn’t see any beauty in it, though. He didn’t notice any of those things – except for the sun hurting his eyes. He fantasized about running away from the village and going as far as the end of the world; he didn’t believe for a moment that he’d be able to. He tried to think of somewhere else to hide, but nothing came to mind; he kept wandering aimlessly, hoping to delay the inevitable.

One Piece: The legend of Johnny Silverhand
Just when I thought my life couldn't get crazier, I died unexpectedly and got sent to the world of one piece as Johnny's silver hand from cyberpunk 77 of all people. The first chapter contains system elements, but this is not a gamer or a system fan-fic. The earlier chapters are unedited and may contain some typos and minor grammar errors, but the later ones improve tremendously. So stick around, and I promise you'll be in for a treat.

Murphy's Law
****Story has been dropped for being too dark**** "Anything that can go wrong, will." But what if you know what goes wrong in advance? On Earth, monsters come in human form. Some are ostracized or locked up, but others walk amongst us. They’re more common than one would think and they grow in number the higher in the hierarchy you go. With 1 in 100 people preying on the other 99, eventually, a world trying to summon a hero might end up with a monster that doesn't feel like playing along. _____________________________ The story is my take on some of my favorite genre's and tropes, some of which I have no I idea if they'll work well together. English is not my main language so if you notice any typos or grammar mistakes please tell me so I can correct them. Criticism and critique are more than welcome:) A chapter every Tuesday.*I do not own the cover image, it's taken from google.
