Coop first entered the old mans life because he wanted to see him smile. He saw someone that was depressed and could not leave it alone. They became fast friends and stayed that way after they parted. They wrote to each other for decades.
It is important to know that though he was cheering up the old man he did end up going to see the entire world or at least the areas htat he could. They enjoyed the travel and he was one of the first people that the old man really changed.
After Coop settled down he raised a family and taught them to never be afraid, that chance will bring both good and ill you way. He taught them to love thier fellow man.
He always loved nature and would scketch out any animal or plant that he found interesting.
He found the metorite with the old man and they decided to split it in half and each take one side, during this time a small chunk broke off and they decided to make it into a cane head. When Coop got old he used it to help him get around and walk. His kids and grandkids never really believed where it came from, not until they met the old man for the first time.
Coop was the last that he could say was from his day and he passed shortly before the old man met the boy or his friends.
When the old man met Coop he gave him the will to get up even though he had just lost his wife. When the old man bet the boy he found the will to inspire others the way Coop liked to do. He found the will to at least try because he saw a bit of himself in the boy, along with a bit of his old friend.

Raccoon's Treasure
People waking up is a part of the usual normal life. An uncountable number of people waking up with fuzzy memories and selective amnesia, only to be greeted with a status screen congratulating them for being a participant of a game? The new normal. Uncertainty follows the realization as the world around them, while looking the same, melts together with memories of what was once called fantasy. New surroundings and blurred borders await as we follow a young man along his path of survival and growth. In this new world power is quantified and upgradeable, traits get objectified and give out boons, while feats, some bigger, some smaller get rewarded. So how hard could it be to procure enough food and water? Genre, tags and content warning are subject to change. They were selected preemptively to cover certain bases for future chapters. I do not have a script only a premise and general outline I will follow along as I write. As this is my first try at writing I'd be overjoyed to get any kind of feedback. Crossposted on QQ

The Warden
Jake was a simple man. All he wanted was to live out the rest of his life on his family farm, a modest life, but one you could take pride in. Then Jake came into the kind of money family dynasties are founded on. Vacationing at his newly bought lake, Jake sits on his porch alone and watches as the world is ripped apart by some god-like being. This god-like being then decides that all descendants of the Gho Clan, still capable of cultivation, will be placed into a trial to test if they are worthy to return to the heavenly realm. Guess what, that inclueds Jake. Now, trapped alone in a cage made from a valley uprooted from Earth, Jake must learn to survive as everything is flooded with some energy he'd never seen nor imagined before; let's call it Qi.
