1.08 I messed up!

“It seems this boy is getting a little cocky!... send in Vulture!” Ordering the man by his side, a woman in her prime sat while overlooking Sura standing on the arena, she was the underground fighter association’s coordinator.

“As you command!” the blurry man bowed while getting out of the room. Vulture was close to hunter stage, only some more weeks and he can easily bypass the last hurdle.

“If he was a bit younger.. I would have eaten him.” With a lecherous smile on her face, the woman licked her lips whilst wearing a black dress and a thin veil covering her face.

Down in the arena, Sura waited for the next opponent. He was lucky to place a hit on his second opponent at critical point knocking him out in the instant, His body still hurt due to the beating he went through in the first fight, but seeing himself easily knocking his 2nd opponent, he held a small smirk on his face.

It’s good that the man from my dream knows how to fight beside punching other people’s crotch, for some reasons I could detect the weakness of that last man, now one more fight and I will win 5k credits. Winning 2 fights in a row, it doesn’t take long before his next opponent came.

Vulture was a man of firm build and seemed to be bit younger than the previous fighters according to his build, his whole body was covered with bandage, and his face was covered in a mask with a design of a Vulture. Standing in front of Sura, he excluded an oppressive aura which made Sura’s feel a bit of fear. Sura’s opponent seemed to be used to fighting in the arena.

This one’s going to be tough!.Sura.

This one’s doesn’t look that special, big sister worries for nothing. Vulture.

Sura couldn’t see his opponent’s eyes, all he can see was Vulture taking a fighting stance. Sura not unbridled in the least also took a make shift posture.

Vulture. Amateur!!

In the eyes of Vulture Sura was nothing beside someone who got lucky in the first 2 fights, and as Sura being new to the fighting even though he has lived the life of a murdered in dreams, his brain has developed, but his body isn’t. So Vulture thinking him as an amateur was all natural.

“I can’t predict the result of this fight.”

“No! Even though he took out Lotson in just 10sec…. but I still think it’s impossible for him to win this one.”

The crowd of viewers were all estimating the result of this last fight, they all knew that if Sura won this fight he will be given 5k credits instead of 2k.

“I guess I know now why this Sutra named himself Shameless Sura… that guy probably acted week in the first fight, to make us bet against him, but then he showed his true colors and took 2 opponents in a row.. he probably put all his money on himself from the beginning.. Pretty shameless isn’t it?

“Now you say…. I may have lost my previous money because of him… but I can see that coming back to me now.”

The people who agreed with the previous man all went to the betting counter and changed their bets, maybe this time they may win some money.

“Begin!”

As the fight began, Sura turned to the right and could feel air pass by where his head used to be. Vulture as his name suggested attacked Sura suddenly wanting to end the fight in the instant. But Sura having his brain power increase by 3x prior to becoming Hunter has given him keen senses, which helped him hee through Vulture’s movements.

If I was a second late, I would have had my face smashed.

Sura was already elated that he could dodge a strike like that, his mind wavered for a second.

“OOMPH!!”

All of Sura’s insides shook and as he looked down to find a knee penetrating his stomach. I messed up!

Holding his stomach with his 2 hands, Sura’s leg shivered, but biting his lips and feeling the iron taste spread in his mouth he came to senses.

Vulture didn’t attacked him again, he just waited for Sura.

“I already told you.. He was probably lucky!.. he can’t even take one attack from Vulture!”

“Shit!! And I listened to you…. I will never bet on the Shameless person again.”

Hearing himself marked a shameless person, Sura felt somewhat confidant.

He looked up with his blank eyes at Vulture who was waiting for Sura’s attack. Vulture hasn’t moved from his place after the first attack.

Sura feeling himself mocked, didn’t feel bad instead his thought was. Yeah! Look down on me… it will be your downfall. Where others will get angry of being mocked, Sura found an opportunity in it.

Sura attacked first this time, which was easily dodged by Vulture, before SUra felt his leg go numb and fell head first on the floor.

“Vulture is playing with this kid….!”

“This isn’t even a fight!”

Sura got up again, while looking at the waiting Vulture.

What is his weakness? Sura wracked his mind again and again, but his mind didn’t found any opening or weakness of Vulture, even though during his second fight, he could easing discern the weakness of Lotson, but seeing Vulture standing wide open, he can’t find any weakness in front of him.

Sura continued to fight throw in critical attacks but all his attacks were met with even more dangerous counterattack.

His body was breaking up, his mind was strong due to his previous experiences and maybe that was also the reason that he couldn’t feel some of his bones in his body breaking up.

I have already broken 9 of his bones… why is he not going down? Even Vulture was confused by Sura’s actions, if it was somebody else in Sura’s place s/he would have thrown the fight already, but as for Sura he kept standing up even though one of his leg has been twisted.

Vulture tried to read Sura’s mind while dislocating his shoulder, but seeing his blank eyes got him confused.

“*tock!”

He isn’t screaming?...This shameless or whatever his name is doesn’t look older than me… and seeing his clothes, he seemed to be belong to a normal household, what is he doing here? Vulture considered himself smart, as unlike Sura he had his face covered in mask and no one in the arena can identify him or locate his real address, but Seeing Sura’s wide open face, he can only sigh at his stupidity.

Stupid Sura.. just throw the fight… if I continue with this fight, I won’t even be able to get home safely. On the other side Sura also wanted to throw the fight, but something in him told that he will never yield to anyone ever again.

Why ever again?... I never yield to anyone.

Sura’s whole body was broken, it was even worse than the time he fought with 8 of his classmates, now he can even hear his bones creaking. I couldn’t hurt this guy in the least!!.. And I was getting cocky for no reason.

Seeing the brutal fight, the crowd was getting crazy by the second, that’s what they came to see, and the men who lost their money due to Sura were also very happy with the result, seeing Sura getting beaten to pulp.

“Stop!! Your body is broken…” Looking at Sura again. “Look at yourself.. you can’t even stand up.” Spoke Vulture to Sura, He didn’t knew what Sura went through to make his will so much unyielding, he was feeling pity at the guy in front of him.

Sura gazed at Vulture, before replying. “Sorry!! But for some reason I can’t back down.!”

Vulture sighed at Sura’s answer, without a second waste, Vulture lifted sura in the air and slammed him on the arena knocking him out for good.

Something is wrong.. !

During lifting Sura up, Vulture felt something chip at his shoulder, looking at it, he found his bandages broken and blood coming out of the deep wound.

When did he attacked me?

“Vulture has knocked out his opponent, making him the winner!”

Waking up Sura found himself in a room, with other people lying in the bed. He was given a spirit healing medicine by an old man and its price was deducted by the money he won.

Eating the pill his body started to release steam, and the pain he felt in his body was disappearing at a slow rate. Placing his foot on the floor, he found his bones creaking.

The pill won’t mend broken bones…. I need to go to hospital!

Each step he took, made his body ache. Taking out the meat cans from the locker, he without any more questions went to the office to take his money he won in the fight.

“Only 1700 credits… they deducted 200 for the pill that cost only 150 credits. Sigh”

The cans on his back were a burden for him, but knowing full well the reason he came for, he rode the train home.

Entering his room, Sura just opened the TV and taking out water from fridge started drinking it.

“That drug messed my body up… I feel hungry already.”

Taking out one can, Sura without soaking the meat in water, ate it directly before putting some water down his throat.

His stomach get to work instantly, before the meat can expand after soaking in water in his stomach, it was absorbed by it.

*tick..

It wasn’t long that the meat was in his stomach, steam started to come from his body and the broken and dislocated bones inside his body started to come back at their place.

“Wait a minute!”

Don’t tell me that!

He took out another can and ate the meat directly, instead of his stomach getting swollen up, it remained sleek, but the sound of bones keep coming from his body, feeling the sweet pain Sura can feel his body getting fixed up at a visible rate.

After 10 minutes of eating 4 cans of meat Sura stood up and can feel some of his energy came back to him.

“Though the bones are not completely fixed, but it won’t take time before they go back to their original state!”

Father! Just what kind of drug was that? It would only take him a night of rest to get back in his peak state.

“Uncle Han!.. I fixed the artifacts and chips you gave me!.” Placing the knives he made. “And here are the new kind of knives I made!”

“You been fighting kid?... your body don’t look good!”

Sura”---“

“Listen kid! If there is anyone beating you again and again, just tell me… I will go deal with them!”

“Don’t worry uncle! I joined a brutal gym.. I need to increase my SE fast!”

Looking at him Han could only sigh.” Ok!! I won’t tarry over it anymore… just remember to take good care of yourself!”

Lifting the knife. “I will buy the 4 of them for 500 credits altogether!”

Sura silently took the deal and money that Han gave.

“Kid if you got free time go to the hospital!”

“Yes uncle!”

Sura was never a man of many words.

“And take these watches.. They came in the last shipment!”

Handing over Sura a box filled with watches, Han talked with Sura for a while and gave some suggestion about fighting, before saying him goodbye.

Sura came back to his apartment, and sitting down on the floor, he thought for a while.

“My body is now close to being fixed, so unlike those other fighters from the arena, I can go there every day and fight again.”

“Though this time I lost during the third round, But if I win the next time, I will be rich enough to buy a neural link.”

Sura thought up his next plan, as unlike other fighters who recuperate for more than a month before their next fight, Sura only needed one day.

“I can fight non-stop like a zombie!”

Sura laughed at his plan! Though from a bystander’s point of view, it was pretty lame.

Though the man in his dreams has made him adept in fighting and with his brain power increase by 3x making him smart enough to learn things at a faster rate, it still doesn’t mean that the 3x power will remove the stupidity of his.
