Wang Tian's eyes flashed with understanding.

"Hey Leader! Look at Brother Lion-Centipede!" A beast cried out.

Their Leader, looked at the decaying beast with suspicion in his eyes. This beast was rather intelligent. It was a peak stage wild beast, just a step away from becoming a magical beast.

The Leader of the beasts walked closer towards his dying brother and then horror flickered in his eyes.

'So this was must have happened to Brother Devil Snake. He must have died like this. Who on earth has the power to let their enemy decay? Who on earth wields such destructive might?' the leader thought to itself whole examining the half-dead beast.

'But wait, how could Brother Lion-Centipede end up this way? Does this mean that that expert is here?' the leader continued. It's not surprising for it to figure it out so quickly because most Wild Beasts become much more intelligent when they reach the peak.

"come out!" The Leader said.

"I know you're there! You dare to kill my brother and then think about trying to leave here alive?!"

'Did he see me? What should I do now? I'm out of Qi and my body feels very fatigued! I can't even stand up properly! Should I make a run for it? No! That won't do, if I make a run for it, they'll sooner or later be able to chase me down! Think brain think! Wang Tian racked his brains on what to do.

He really is in a deadly situation now.

"What? Did you hear what the Leader said? The one who caused Brother Lion-Centipede to be this way is here?"

"What? He's here?! That expert is here?! Hey you bloody bastard! Show yourself and let this beast eat you alive!" A beast yelled out in anger.

The crowd roared in response to his words. They wanted to see whom was so courageous to kill two of their brothers.

But not all of these beasts were brave.

"Oh my! Please don't hurt us!" A female beast said.

"It's okay honey I'll protect you" A perverted beast tried to comfort her while trying to seize the opportunity to kiss her.

But he only got a kick to his face as a reply.

"You perv! Do you think I'm afraid of you?!" The female beast said angrily.

The perverted beast stepped back a little but then it licked its lips. "Oh my deary, even your foot tastes like butterflies and candies! Please kick me more!"

The other beasts saw this and didn't know whether to laugh or cry! Jesus brother! We're in a perilous situation right now! Can't you hold down your stick and behave?

"Hey this is no time to be fooling around!" The leader shouted.

Wang Tian heard this and felt like wanting to die of laughter.

"SHOW YOURSELF!" the Leader cried out angrily.

Wang Tian's face became serious.

'Should I run now? Or should I face them? I'm invincible so they won't be able to kill me. If any bad thing will happen, it is that i might feel extreme pain and might end up getting swallowed whole.'

Wang Tian braced himself for what was about to come and then revealed himself.

"Alright here i am" Wang Tian said.

"A kid?" The leader of the beasts looked at him suspiciously.

"Were you really the one who killed my brothers?" The leader asked while forcing himself not to laugh.

Wang Tian looked at him but didn't reply.

The leader of the beasts walked closer towards him arrogantly but catiously.

'This kid can't be that expert. However, i still need to be wary. Why would a human kid wander here? He must have someone accompanying him. And someone who's confident in dragging his kin towards our forest is someone who has the power to!' the beast thought to itself.

At this point, the beast that was once called "Brother Lion-Centipede" is nothing but ashes. A think and Dark Qi arose from those ashes and the Dark Qi was immediately sucked into Wang Tian's body.

'Huh?! What's this? Why do I feel rejuvenated? And why is the Qi inside my body being replenished?' Wang Tian gasped in disbelief.

He then looked towards where the Qi was coming from and then saw that the Qi came from the ashes that fell victim to his spell.

Wang Tian's fatigue lightened up a bit and now he could at least run at more than half of his regular speed.b

The Leader of the beasts was now about 2 meters away from him. The Leader of the beast looked at him closely. From his feet towards his head. At first he found nothing wrong with this kid. But when he was halfway towards his head, he felt that something was amiss.

'Wasn't this kid fatigued before? How come I feel that his Qi is now replenished?'

The Leader of the beasts thought with suspicion in his eyes. He became more alert now.

This peak Wild Beast scanned him and when he looked at Wang Tian's left eye, he all of a sudden, screamed!

"Bow down" a demonic voice echoed in his mind.

"Impossible!" He cried out. 'This can't be! Those beings have disappeared here

The Leader of the Beasts felt a chill run down his spine. It was as if a gigantic beast was looking at him through the eyes of Wang Tian. To him, it felt like the beast wanted to devour him. He prostrated on his knees and then kowtowed to Wang Tian.

"Sire! Please don't eat me sire! It was this lowly one's mistake to ever provoke you! Please forgive me Your Highness!" The Leader of the beasts cried out.

"Oh god look! What's the leader doing? Why is he acting like this?" One beast said.

"Is he dumb or something? That's just prey standing before him! Why is he prostrating on his knees? Jeez! He's throwing away our prestige!"

The reputation of the Leader of the beasts was now ruined. Just a moment ago, he was acting high and mighty but in a split second he became a servant, anxiously asking for his master's forgiveness.

Wang Tian stood there frozen. Didn't know what to do. He didn't even know what induced the beast in front of him to prostrate itself.

'Whoaaaa! Am I that awesome???' Wang Tian thought to himself.

Wang Tian thought about it for a moment and decided that, 'This beast is afraid of me... I don't know why but I'll play along with him and when they're distracted. I'll make a run for it.'

Wang Tian looked at the Leader of the beasts with disdain. But on the inside, he was breaking into cold sweat.

"Hey boss! Quit fooling around and eat this tasty kid! If you won't do it then I will!" A monkey with the head of an eagle said while licking its lips. It slowly approached Wang Tian as well as all of the other beasts.

They were all licking their lips as if seeing a treasure appear right before their eyes.

"This will be a treat! This kid is a human so his blood and flesh will be nourishing as hell!"

Most of the beasts thought.

"No! Do you all want to die?! You dare think about having thoughts on His Excellency? Do you want to incur the wrath of those beings?! Ignorant fools! You're courting death for all of us!" The Leader of the beasts roared and then stood in front of Wang Tian.

"Oh shut your yaps! He's just food! And very nourishing in fact!" A beast said.

"We haven't eaten in days! And I have mouths to feed in my den!"

"My wife is going to kill me if i don't bring her any food."

"Get out of the way Leader!"

"Yeah get out of the way! Let us feast on this child!"

'Look! They're arguing! Now's the chance!' Wang Tian seized the opportunity and made a run for it.

"He's getting away! Catch him!" The monkey with an eagle head roared. However before he could even ran a single meter, the Leader of the beasts tore him apart and ate his head. He then tossed the body of that beast into the air.

Greed enveloped the eyes of the other beasts. They all grabbed the body of that monkey-eagle beast and then grabbed a part each. However, there were some beasts who didn't get their share so they ran towards Wang Tian. The Leader of the beasts fought with them and tried to abide time for Wang Tian but they were too many! And the Leader was only a single entity! Even if he was at the peak of Houtian, he was up against countless late stage wild beasts! Even an elephant would die under billions of ants!

"No! St-stop! Don't harm him! You don't understand!" The Leader roared and then fought back with all of his might.

Meanwhile, Wang Tian was now a thousand meters away. He looked back and saw that he was still being followed by countless beasts. But the number decreased by a ton.

'I wonder why that beast protected me?'

He thought to himself while running for his life. Wang Tian shook his head after a moment and then thought, "no point in thinking about it now. I first have to get to safety."

Unknowingly, when Wang Tian was thinking about those stuff, he was unconsciously slowing down. Therefore, the beasts were nearing him.

"Hey brat! Come here and let this brother of yours eat you! If you surrender now then I will leave your bones intact!" A beast said arrogantly and then it burst forth with full power. The other beasts saw this and copied it. Therefore they were now only 20 meters away from him.

'Fuck! They're catching up.' Wang Tian thought to himself.

He then thought of an idea! A life aaving idea!

Wang Tian infused his feet with the Dark Qi making him explode with power. His speed was now triple from what it once was. He took a step and then the land cracked. He reappeared thousands of meters away from the beasts. However, using his Qi as a device to augment his speed and power was very taxing to his body. And it consumed a lot ot his Qi. Therefore after a few minutes, he finally slowed down.

He looked back and then saw that no one was there. Wang Tian slowed down and then gasped for air. He breathed heavily while speed walking towards his Cultivation cave.

After a few moments, he arrived at his Cultivation Cave. He sealed the entrance with the sword that his Father gave him and then sat down in a cross-legged position.

"Where did he go?! Find him!"

Wang Tian heard a yell outside his Cultivation Cave. Wang didn't pay them any heed and only focused on relieving the pain that he felt.

Wang Tian circulated the tiny amount of Qi that he had left.

2 hours passed in the blink of an eye.

"My Qi is almost used up." He mumbled to himself. But then he recalled that when that beast turned to ashes, Dark Qi appeared from it and then was sucked into his body.

His eyes flashed with understanding.

"I have to kill to replenish my Qi?" He mused.

Wang Tian fell into a daze. ' I don't want to kill! Especially if they're humans! But if i don't kill, I can't improve my cultivation base!'

"Kill..." A familiar voice echoed inside his head.

"Kill"

"Kill"

"Kill!!!" The voice got louder by the 4th time it said kill.

"STOP IT!" Wang Tian cried out.

"You will kill and blood will be spilled. This... This is the path that is destined for you ever since you agreed to become my successor" that familiar voice said.

Wang Tian felt his blood boil. The Dark Qi in his body roared with excitement as if it were sentient! Little did he know that his mind was now bit by bit getting clouded by the evilness and arrogantness inside the Dark Qi.

His blood stopped boiling after a few seconds but then he found himself extremely sleepy. Wang Tian slept the whole night.
