Did I meditate until morning?? Wait… THAT MEANS I MISSED DINNER!!! Uhh… Yesterday…
But why did nobody notice that I wasn’t there for dinner?!?
I exit my room and notice the three girls, meditating in the cultivation room. Sooo… They were also meditating… and that means that I forgot about this cultivation room and also the one inside the Cultivation Tower…
What’s going on today?!?! I’M A MESS!!!!
As I’m trying to wrap my brain around this, all three of the girls have finished meditating already…
Oh Mevirs! You’re up already! Do you want to go down for breakfast? I think we all missed dinner yesterday… (Adaline)
Let’s go eat!! (Krystal)
Our group heads down to the cafeteria and we parted ways.
{Cafeteria, Student Dormitory, Royal Spirit Academy}
I personally don’t want to spend my money to buy expensive food without having a constant source of income, that means that I’ll soon have to find a way to make money here at school…
I head over to where I got my lunch the other day, and once again, there was the Lunch Lady.
Good Morning! What’s for breakfast this morning? (Mevirs)
Oh you’re that boy from yesterday! Today we have mixed fruit tart, blueberry yogurt, and we also have strawberry muffins! By the way I don’t know your name… (Lunch Lady)
The name’s Mevirs, oh and I’ll take large servings of everything. (Mevirs)
Ah Mevirs, what a great name, my name is Eleanor. And just wait a moment for your food. (Eleanor)
Like Eleanor said, I just waited for a bit and she brought me my food. I made my way to the dining area, and I don’t see Adaline, Kylie, and Krystal yet, it seems that they are still getting their food.
I find an open space and I sit down, I begin to eat, and then I see Adaline and the others walking closer. It seems they got their food.
They place their food down, and I see what they bought… they all bought waffles and crepes. Adaline had bacon and waffles with a strawberry crepe. Kylie had blueberry waffles and a kiwi crepe. Krystal got waffles and ice cream with a chocolate and coconut crepe.
After examining what everyone else bought, I resumed eating. OOohhhmmm… the fruit tart is sour, sweet, and creamy, the crust is also flaky. The blueberry yogurt was delicious! The blueberries were a bit sour, but when mixed with the smooth and sweet yogurt, it was a great combination. Finally the strawberry muffin, I didn’t LOVE it, but it was… O.K… I personally didn’t like it, but at least the strawberries weren’t mushy… oh wait, they were…
After eating, I excused myself from the table and made my way to the library, I don’t really know much about the world, so I need to find a way to learn more about it.
{Library, Student Dormitory, Royal Spirit Academy}
I enter the library, and I notice that there are very few people here, also, it is eerily quiet in here. I look at the librarian, an elderly man who’s reading a book at the counter. I approach him and ask.
Excuse me mister, are there any books about the situation of the continent? (Mevirs)
The old librarian gets up from his chair and starts leading me to somewhere within the library.
Follow me, little one, I’m sure I have 1 or 2 books about the continent… (Old Librarian)
The old librarian looks around the aisles and brings out a book and also a map.
He hands over the book and the map to me.
has received "Aidea" and "Map of Aidea"
You can hold onto these, just make sure to return them when you’re done, if you lose the books, you’ll have to pay to have them replaced. (Old Librarian)
I bring the book and map to a table and I begin to read.
"Aidea"
The continent of Aidea is separated into three territories, the lands of the humans, the great forests of the elves, and the badlands of the demons. There is another race, the dwarves, who make their home in the world beneath everyone else. The dwarves are known to be masters of the forge, and many have strong affinities with fire and earth. Elves are peace loving creatures with strong affinities the earth, water, and wind. Little is known about the demons except for their near perfect affinity with darkness. Soul Beasts, or commonly known as monsters are found throughout the whole continent. The human lands, are currently split into 3 kingdoms, Exia, Vesa, and Cruves.
Uhm excuse me, librarian? Where is Kashin located? (Mevirs)
Ah Kashin, our city is located in the domain of Exia, and relatively close to forests of the elves. Kashin, is technically not part of any kingdom, Exia doesn’t care about us, because compared to other cities within the kingdoms, Kashin can be called an ant. (Old Librarian)
Thankfully, we are located the farthest away from the badlands, so that is something we should be glad about. (Old Librarian)
Thank you! Can I return these? (Mevirs)
Yes! Of course you can! (Old Librarian)
gives "Aidea" and "Map of Aidea" to
I have another question, are there any skill books available in the library? (Mevirs)
There are, but these are mainly basic spells, most of the higher ranked skills aren’t kept in the library, and they are kept for the older students. There are also incredibly rare skill books that the winners of the tournament receive along with their prizes. (Old Librarian)
The Old Librarian leads me to another area, where the shelves are packed with different elemental skill books.
I’ve organized these books so that each element is separated from each other, so it’s easier to find what you need. I will be leaving you now, if you need anything else, feel free to ask. (Old Librarian)
Since I can’t learn Shadow of the Demon yet, I’ll focus on learning the 4 basic elements.
I look over all the different skill books, and I choose 4, 1 for each element. For fire, I chose Ember Wisp, which creates a small ball of fire from your finger or hand. For water, I chose Aqua Orb, which forms an orb out of water. For wind, I chose Wind Arrow, which forms an arrow of wind. Lastly for earth, I chose the spell Earth Armor, which protects the caster from outside attacks.
has received "Ember Wisp", "Water Orb", "Wind Bolt", and "Earth Armor"
Now that I’ve finally decided what I want to learn, I make my way to the Cultivation Tower to practice.

{Cultivation Tower, Royal Spirit Academy}
Wow this is amazing, there are 100 floors to this tower! It is so tall I can barely see the top of the tower. It’s just amazing how they were able to make this tower.
I enter the tower, and I bring out my #500 Cultivation Tower Pass. Where do I go with this?
Hahaha, what are you doing here kid? (???)
I turn around quickly, seeing another boy, who seems like he is around 15 or 16.
What do you want from me?!? (Mevirs)
Wooahh, calm down, I’m just trying to help you out. My name’s Bryan, I see you have a Cultivation Tower Pass. (Bryan)
My name is Mevirs, and yes this is a Cultivation Tower Pass… (Mevirs)
Well it’s really weird that you entered the front door like that, you do know that empty room in the dorms has an engraving on the floor. This is actually a teleportation gate for those with a Cultivation Tower Pass, it can teleport you to your floor. (Bryan)
Well it doesn’t really matter now, my Cultivation Tower Pass is #500… (Mevirs)
#500!?! That means you’re that genius new kid right?? (Bryan)
Yes, I’m #500, but I’m not to sure if can be called a genius… (Mevirs)
Okay, you can just enter one of these 4 rooms with your Cultivation Tower Pass. (Bryan)
Thanks Bryan! (Mevirs)
I enter the fire element room, hoping to learn Ember Wisp first.
I open the Ember Wisp skill book and I begin to read.
"Ember Wisp"
Allows the user to create and control a small ball of fire. Focus your mana into your finger or palm, and imagine the mana exploding from you. After doing this, quickly condense the energy to form a small ball of fire.
I did as what the book said, but I continually fail. I focus on my fire element mana and focus it into my right index finger, then I have it “explode” from my finger. I then quickly command the released mana to condense. It is able to condense finally, but all that appears is a candle like flame, then poof it’s gone.
It’s weird that I’m not able to make it last long, is it because my body doesn’t have enough mana?? I think for a while until I finally realize… If I’m able to utilize the mana in my surroundings to support my own mana, won’t the flame last longer?
I once again focus my fire element mana into my right index finger, and I let it explode out. As I’m condensing it, I also bring in the surrounding mana into my spell…
Gro… Bes… Ag… Nes! (Mevirs)
These words came naturally as a flame the size of an apple appeared above my right index finger. I command the Ember Wisp to move around me, and it does as I say! I think to myself, if I’m able to make multiple Ember Wisps, won’t I be incredibly strong?
Next, I tried to make the Ember Wisp that is spinning around me to separate into two pieces. It slowly separates… YES it works!!! But the size is rather smaller than before… I manipulated the surrounding mana and made the 2 Ember Wisps grow larger… Now both are the size of the original… but I’m not able to make it grow any further. Is this the maximum size of the Ember Wisp that the spell can maintain?
If I’m not able to increase the size, I’ll just increase the amount!
But my current way of increasing the amount of Ember Wisps is really inefficient.
I extinguish the 2 Ember Wisps and I once again focus. Instead of focussing my fire element mana into one finger, I focus ⅕ of it into each of my 5 fingers, then I let them all explode, and I manipulate the surrounding fire mana to help condense them.
Gro… Bes… Ag… Nes… FIVE! (Mevirs)
IT’S A SUCCESS!
Now I have 5 Ember Wisps the size of grapes floating around me. It seems that when I chant the spell, I can specify the amount I want to summon! But the downside is that I don’t have enough mana to support 5 apple-sized Ember Wisps, and instead, they are grape sized.
After all this, it seems that I’ve really depleted my mana, and I decide to return to my room to rest…
{Mevirs’ Room, Dorm Room #256}
I fall onto the bed, and I knock out…

Agenda of the Villainess
As the daughter of a duke, Lady Alicia Senius expected to awaken her latent magical ability during her Blooming ceremony. She was not expecting her connection to the flowers of Fate to awaken memories of a past life, however, and certainly not memories that were somehow inextricably tied with her future. Now, Alicia must find a way to escape the fatal punishment that is the destiny of a villainous noble girl. In doing so, she might even alter the fate of the whole world. This novel is a steampunk take on the otome villainess genre, heavily inspired by the late Victorian era of England and with a system of magic based around floweral circuitry. If that sounds like your cup of tea, why not give it a shot? Updates on Thursday every week.
