《A Magical Journey》Chapter 15: Lee's plan

*A day prior*
Lee was walking fast back to the librairy. She didn't want to make the old erudite wait too long, getting recognition for her work for once was.... satisfying. She really enjoyed the old lady's company. She still enjoyed being around the other three, but they could belittle overwhelming sometimes. Having some time in a quiet place with another scholar was calming her a lot more than she would like to admit.
When she got back upstairs, she saw a great amount of books on the table, along with an old leather suitcase, some food and water. Dewglory thought they would be there for a while so she got them some sustenance. Lee tried to not let her curiosity take over and ask what was in the suitcase, they had a spell and a plan to make.
''If we use an Annulator on this sorcerer, will we still be able to take away his powers? It would be more safe for us if he can't use his abilities.''
''No you won't, since it blocks them for a few hours, it's really like if the person was not able to weild magic at all.''
''That's what I thought... His lighting skills and telekinesis might be a big problem. How can we get to him without getting hurt?''
They both thought for a few seconds and both said at the same time ''Illusions!''
''That sorcerer needs to get close to you friend Maya, so he will most likely let you come in the tower easily and stops you once you are in.''
''I will have to ask Vi about her illusions, if they can change how we look... Okay, that settle it for now. For the spell, you said that Morgan created a spell to get her power back. Do you know anything about it?''
''Only speculations. Unfortunatly, we never found said spell, but it is to believe that she did not really care about if the other person would survive or not the power extraction.''

''I'm not sure I follow.''
''When you take away someone's power is like a surgery. It is really easy to remove something from someone, it is a lot harder to mak esure the person survive the removal. It is the hardest part of the spell too. Morgan certainly didn't bother with it.''
''That's why there is similiar part to every spell I saw in those books... If only I could have Morgan's spell, I think I would be able to modify it so this sorcerer doesn't have to... die.''
''Or you let him tell the spell and you modify it afterward.''
''I... I don't think I will be able to do that.'' Lee said looking down.
Dewglory gave her a small smile. She went to open a random spell book and recited one. She then asked Lee to repeat it and she could do it perfectly. It wasn't a simple spell the erudite chose and she was still able to repeat it.
Dewglory teached her more about how to preserve someone's life while removing their powers. Lee apreciated all the time she took to teach her all of those things. She wished the old lady could come with them to help, but she knew it was not possible. But there was a way that the erudite could help her, even if they were apart. She went to get the suitcase and opened it. It was full of various ingredients, small flask full of red liquid, objects and some sheets of parchment.
''Can you see okay without your glasses?'' Dewglory asked holding her hand open for Lee to give them to her.
''Yes, it's only from far away that I don't see well without them.''
''This is my special kit. It has lots of differents recipes, one oft hem is how to put someone's power in an object, like you did with Maya's necklace. I have few abilities here in those flask. The one I like the most is this one : Telepathy. I'm going to show you how I do it by enchanting your glasses and mine.''

Lee looked in awe as the erudite enchanted both the glasses right in front of her. She used almost the same spell as the one she created, but much more sophisticated and clean. A bright light shone from the glasses and Dewglory handed back her glasses to Lee while explaining that she will only have to double tab on the side of the glasses and speak up what she wants to tell her ''You can speak in your mind too, but it's easier to speak outloud. It can works with glasses, a pair of earring associated with a wrisband. The earrings to hear what the other say and the wristband to speak in. Some people put it in a feather pen and put it up their ears and mouth to speak... I always thought it looked weird though.''
''Thank you so much... I... I don't know what to say.''
''You will have to get the ingredients back if you ever want to do it again'' Dewglory said handing over the suitcase to Lee ''but all the list in written down. You will easily find them around. ''
''I.. I can't accept it, it's yours.''
''I waited eigthy years to find someone in this tribe to be worth of it... And you are the only one I trust enough to give it to.''
''I... I'm honored and grateful. Thanks.''
Dewglory brought Lee in a motherly embrace and said in a whisper tha tsince she is the leader, she could convince the other member of the tribe to accept Lee as the new leader. Lee was flatter but kindly refused. She had to help Maya. And she knew she didn't belong here.
When they both went back to the house, they exposed the plan they came up with and they all approved it. Vi would be able to modify their appearances for a while. They would have to practice it a bit, but they should be fine. They settled on heading to the tower tomorrow morning. Will was held captive for long enough they thought.
*The next day, in the tower*
Will was so happy to see them all there to save him, but his happiness faded quickly when he saw how easily they were getting knocked out. He was beginning to panick when he heard a small click sound coming out from the door. He looked down and saw Maya unlocking the door to the cell, but keeping it closed. She looked at him and whispered really quietly ''illusions, quiet.'' He nodded and waited until his princess told him that he could move again. It was hard for him to look at what was happening, it looked like two images was superposing in front of him. Maya and Lee were constatly switching places, as for Lou and the sorcerer that Will never met.
When Lee/Maya said that she got it, the second images disappeared, only leaving the real one. Maya nodded to Will and opened the door quietly. He had to take the staff away from Felix and since he was puzzled of what was happening, it was easy to take it away from him. Will then punched the sorcerer in the face. He knew violence wasn't the good thing to do, but gosh that felt great!
When he saw Maya falling back down after the ritual, his chivalrous side of him took over and ran to save her. He stood there beside her, completly forgetting about his surrounding. He was so happy to see how she went all this way only for him. He wanted to put her in a sweet embrace, but she yelled ''STOP!'' and that made him freeze. When he was able to move again, he saw Felix jumping out the window and flying away on a huge flying snake.
