《Businessman reincarnated in fantasy novel》CHAPTER 52: CHEER UP

The tense atmosphere around the empire and the silence in the air clearly indicated the upcoming storm.
The hammer strikes of blacksmiths there were beating the iron more powerfully than usual. The soldiers were preparing themselves, wearing their armor, and choosing their weapons. All of these indicated the seriousness and danger of the upcoming war. It was a critical and nervous moment for everyone before the battle. All the troops were prepared and ready to go. They were all lined up, waiting for their commander to order them. Leon was standing on a platform, accompanied by Jared and Alfred.
There was silence in the air. Everyone was familiar with their situation, and they knew that this time they were at a considerable disadvantage considering the number of their enemies. As their commander, Leon wanted to encourage them, but the silence in the air was so heavy that he didn't speak anything at that moment.
Suddenly, everyone hears the sound of someone walking with his armor on. There was absolute silence, so the sound of that person's steps were heard clearly. The sound gets bigger and bigger as that person approaches the ground. As that person appears, everyone's eyes light up. Shining in the sun the legendary silver and goldish armor. The person wearing that armor was a legend in himself to everyone. The Duke Of Britannia and the one accompanying him was the Count.
The hero for the people of Britannia, whose heroic tales were an inspiration to all, that person was in front of the soldiers wearing the armor to go participate in the battle.
"Grandfather and Count both of you..." Leon was surprised by their presence.
"Did you think I wouldn't come? After all, I am still the duke of this duchy, so I have to take responsibility for it. I am thinking of this war as my retirement declaration," the duke said.

"I will follow the Duke till my end and Britannia is my home too," the Count said.
"And you guys we aren't dead yet, are we? So stop mourning like it's your funeral and put yourself together. The ones who will die today are our enemies, did you get that" the duke said loudly.
Seeing his grandfather handling the situation, coming on the front line, it was the first time that he was gonna battle together with his grandfather; a small smile appeared on Leon's face as he looked at the broad back of his grandfather. It was like a roar of a beast; despite his age, his power, charisma, and fierceness were something that had no match at all. The soldiers were looking at an old beast but still had life to fight back; that instantly lifted the soldiers' spirits. The ground became cheerful and full of enthusiasm.
"I am gonna crush them today for once and for all," the duke said to Leon and walked further.
"Hey grandfather... don't die no matter what you have to survive," Leon said.
The duke who was walking forward stopped suddenly after hearing those words; without looking back, he replied with a smile on his face.
"Look for yourself, brat. It will take a lot to take me down."
Although Leon didn't see the duke's face while he said these words, he could imagine what face he made while speaking those words.
On both sides, the preparations are done, and the soldiers are marching toward the battlefield.
Finally, the time has come when the main protagonist of this world will lash with our hero. What's gonna happen when two powerful forces collide with each other? How much blood will be poured? And how many sacrifices will be made?

Series – Dice rolls, quests, and intriguing characters are only the tip of the spear. The Adventurer series includes playable game mechanics, maps, and more! Thrust into a world governed by tabletop RPG rules, Cire must survive an onslaught of wondrous and horrific challenges. His peculiar race, charismatic personality, and talent for turning negative situations sideways might just be the tools he needs to achieve his goals, or they may lead to his ruin. Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.

Rifts of War
The visions. It was they that told us about our future. They said that we were the true rulers of the world, the spreaders of light, the guardians of the rightious path. The visions gave us signs of a bright new world, one united under a single banner of light. All those who opposed us suffered and here we stand on the top, watching over the world. We thought it would last forever, but we thought wrong. The visions once again spoke to us and gave us insight, but not to glory or power. They spoke of a terrible fate. An enemy from beyond the realm, one that wishes to destroy us all, one that threatens to bring about the end of the light and usher an age of darkness. As its guardians, we could not allow that. And so we decided to strike. Our armies and our mages gather at the great rift that connects our world. No one knew what we would find. Treasures? Rich land? Savage beasts? There was only one way to find out. A/N: The story starts out pretty quick and I know people will say this is a "military p*rn" but that's only the beginning. I really do have much more planned for this book so I can make a true 'war of the worlds' type of deal. So stick around and enjoy

Death follows Leor everywhere he goes, cutting down his friends and family. When his first love died at the hands of a rampaging Awakened, he was prepared to throw everything away until a mysterious voice offered him a chance for revenge and a chance to bring her back by completing the seven trials. He wants to destroy the Gods who abuse their powers, but will he team up with a Goddess to accomplish his goal? UPDATE (10/18/21): I will no longer be updating this version of the story. Thank you all who actually liked this version, but this version does not sit well with me anymore. I have an updated version called: Condemned: Tale of Light. Please read this story on that fiction page instead. I changed many things. Thanks again for reading. I hope to see you on the new version. I'll leave this old version up for people to compare with the new one. Like a public first first draft. -Ando
