Ethos, they are the personification of free mana in the world. They are contracted by the human and others not only to enhance their magical power but also to help in various other activities. To do that, the person in question must have some amount of power to contract certain classes of ethos and must be compatible with them. Even with those, ethos can still refuse to do so by their own will.

The royal research institute have once theorised that ethos are simply a lump of mana that were given life by the spirit or by the gods. When asked about that from Alfin, Aqua simply said

"All I can said grossly is it's half correct and half wrong, and since you still haven't got the permission from other spirit, I can't tell you much about it" [Aqua]

"She is right, while the spirit and the highest ethos certainly know and can tell you if they so wanted to, those information can lead to destruction of the world if given in the wrong hand. As such, we spirit will only give those information to the holy hero" [Mahsuri]

"I see..." [Alfin]

"Well, you just have to be a holy hero then Alfin" [Azumi]

"Said the hero himself, you know it's impossible for me!" [Alfin]

Going by those classification, Aqua further explain that the highest ethos are usually chosen by the spirit themselves to have part of their power and will thus take a humanoid form once they have successfully receive those power. Those highest spirit as of now are

Highest fire ethos "Salamander"

Highest water ethos "Aqua"

Highest earth ethos "Dunia"

Highest wind ethos "Sylph"

Highest mirage ethos "Titania"

Highest space ethos "Angkasa"

Highest time ethos "Jikanz"

"And among us ethos, Titania is without the doubt the strongest and oldest, she wasn't only the first ethos to be born, but she herself have fight Ishmelga alongside the holy hero multiple time and survive. Not only that, she is the queen of fairies and also regarded as mini god by the elf" [Aqua]

"Then, how about other ethos from before?" [Blanc]

Blanc questions make Aqua paused for awhile, seeing this, Lydia smack his head for being insensitive

"Well, she forgot to mention this, but Aqua wasn't contracted to either one of us, she simply help us on her own free will" [Azumi]

Aqua look intensely at Azumi

"Well, nothing wrong to tell you I guess, I don't know how but there seem to be a neutral highest ethos residing in you" [Aqua]

"Why are you the one that is over reacting to it" [Azumi]

"As Aqua said, a highest neutral ethos have never been born simply because there is no neutral spirit, this might be the first one of it kind. Still, it is developing inside of you" [Mahsuri]

"I see, so what should I do?" [Azumi]

"For starters, feel that ethos inside you, and once you do that, give it a name" [Mahsuri]

"Right!" [Azumi]

With that, Azumi concentrate all of his focus and feel an ethos aura inside of him by using Aqua as his reference. After 5 minutes have passed

Azumi simply nodded and with one breath

With his word, a highest ethos of neutral spirit born into the world. Opposite of her name, this ethos have an opposite characteristics from Azumi. It take the form of female with a long white hair, white attire almost similar to what Azumi always wear and a staff beside her. Her face is the feminine version of Azumi
