《Fantasy Air [GL]》Chapter 11. Do you know who I am?

‘Blue ranger with a rapier in hand challenges the King. Valiant effort, magnificent battle, still Florence becomes a queen.’ Arnacia recalled a line from the novel and her heart lurched.
‘Yale Alucard! What is he doing here???’
The intruder smiled magnificently. His bright eyes observed everyone except the fallen knight. In process, he tapped his palm over his ear to fix his hair. This highlighted the wrist armor that covered the back of his hands.
“Ladies, I wish for all of you to forget what happened today,” Yale Alucard said.
‘Why is he looking at me?’ Arnacia suspected. However, this thought vanished just as it sprouted.
‘He’s looking at Isabelle!’
“How dare you kick the door of Women’s Court of Justice?” Rose said, pointing her sword towards the intruder.
“Foolish woman,” Yale fixed his hair again. He didn’t even look at Rose.
It incited her, and she charged towards the yellow-haired man. Just when she defeated a fool, another one barged in by breaking the door.
Rose’s sword drew an arc towards the man, aiming straight for the man’s neck. She knew that rapier carriers were nimble and expected the man to evade. But the man stood in place until the last second.
Yale lifted his hand to block the incoming sword. He did not dodge and took the impact head on.
Clang!
The sword completely stopped on touching the armor, which refused to budge.
The wrist armor didn’t even move a centimeter, nor did Yale’s hand.
Rose quickly jumped back on seeing the result. Shock was splattered all over her face. She barely managed to carry away the sword with a weak grip
“I only wish you to forget,” Yale smiled. “But please do it after handing me over that girl.” He pointed out with certainty.

Isabelle’s head automatically shook on seeing the man. His face might look handsome, his demeanor was outstanding. But she felt his finger was pointing right in between her forehead.
Rose also felt pressured by the man’s authority. Silently, the words - ‘Knights are useless’, echoed in her heart. She tightened her grip on the sword’s hilt.
Last impact had made her hands shiver like that of a little girl. Mild pain was heating up her grip. But she stepped forward and swung the silver sword.
Yale’s smile widened. He simply stood there and waited for the sword to arrive. Only a light noise sounded when the sword met with his wrist armor. Same scene played out from last time.
Except the fire in Rose’s eyes!
Just as Yale blinked, she threw a sidekick. It connected with the man’s chest, but again, she had failed.
Yale stood there like an unmovable wall.
Rose moved back quickly. She was now farther than her original position.
Yale looked down to check his coat. The blue flax with golden buttons had a footprint on it. He lost all his composure on seeing the dirt.
“Do you know who I am?” Yale howled silently.
“A scum!” Rose snorted in displeasure.
To her surprise, Yale suddenly moved. Before she could properly lift her sword, the golden knight was directly in front of her!
Yale swung the back of his armored hand towards Rose’s face.
The movement of his hand was very slow, unlike his dash, but Rose’s body froze in terror.
It baffled the onlookers. Isabelle covered her eyes in a split second. Whereas Arnacia squinted her eyes as if the armored slapping motion was made in her direction.
Yale’s hand sped up when it was halfway to Rose’s face.
The female silver knight’s eyes also shut, for the hope of evading was non-existent.

Sound of a bloody slap, however, never echoed in the hall.
A gloved hand held Yale’s hand only two centimeters away from Rose’s face.
The grin on Yale’s face immediately vanished. He hopped back and immediately the gloved hand let him go.
‘She made her move!’ Arnaica opened her eyes before Isabelle. The veiled lady had stepped forward just in time to save Rose.
Yale sized up the lady and rushed towards her to throw a punch. The decision was natural. He had to eliminate the new variable. And why couldn’t he be able? It was just another woman.
The lady stood still, her one hand held the fur which hid her figure.
She swiftly evaded the oncoming punch. But, before she could relax, another dozen of punches were thrown at her!
Yale was like a madman. The ferocity of his punches was devilish.
The veiled lady danced like a butterfly in the deadly rain, untouched by mortal filth.
Yale couldn’t accept the result. After one random full swing of his arm, he extended his hand to draw out the rapier. The lady was only half a meter away when the thin blade swung towards her.
Arancia watched without blinking her eyes.
‘Special ability, Untouched!’
The blade passed through the lady’s body. Yale smiled, but at the next moment, his face turned ugly. His eyes quickly moved around to detect the lady that vanished into thin air.
Rose was now at the side, her head moved around to look for the lady.
Isabelle was far worse, she didn’t know where to look.
But Arnacia? She was looking up in the air, right from the start!
From the darkness of the ceiling, a figure slowly emerged. The lady’s leg slashed down like lightning. Her thigh split dress, with cutout almost reaching the hips, aided her actions.
Yale noticed when the leg was only a meter away from him. He quickly put up this both arms to block the heel.
The lady’s bare legs clashed on the metal armor!
Yale experienced an overwhelming force just as the leg touched his wrist armor. The godly swipe made his hands crash on top of his head.
Unimaginable pain emerged from Yale’s skull. His knees bent and his head crushed, face first, on the floor.
The tiles cracked and red seeped in between.
“Do you know who I am?” the veiled lady casually said.

A Sinner's Eden
The Earth of the future is united under a single government, but not all things are well. The shape of the playing field may be changed, but the powerful still rule the weak. And those who do not conform with the rest of society are exiled to another world. A world that not even the technology of the future managed to tame.It should have been humanity's New World but ended up as nothing more than a penal colony. A place where the exiled are sent to die. Motivated by revenge, Magnus sets out on a quest to bring his own justice to his enemies. For that purpose, he is willing to go further than most others. But then he learns that if he truly wishes to change things, he can only find his answers beyond the gate. Having lived most of her life as an exile, Astra is a woman of few interests aside from survival and climbing the ranks of her clan.To achieve those goals, she certainly won't be squeamish when a chance literally falls into her lap, or will she? ——————————————————————————————— I am trying to go with a survival/medieval setting in this one. People from a technologically advanced society are thrown into a world where they can't maintain their tech. They are forced to rely on medieval technology where they have to make do with the limited resources they have and what little of their old technology is still working. Their gene manipulation allows them to have something akin to superpowers, but that doesn't help much against the monsters of their new world. Not sure yet whether sufficiently advanced technology will be discovered later on to count as magic. ——————————————————————————————— Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently, I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)

Goddess of Computation
Doing a coding assignment last minute, Ada Newth, a computer science student, fell asleep and woke up in a different world where she was informed by the System that she was randomly selected from an infinite number of universes to be a Goddess of Computation. The trouble is that she's barely passing her first class and now she's meant to be a Goddess? Worse, she can't understand why she's needed in this world where the technology level is about equivalent to that of Earth's Middle Ages. Clearly, most people can barely read or count and even the other gods are of no help. In fact, most of them are rather dangerous idiots. If she can't convince them to help her change the status quo, she'll just have to gather her allies and followers and make some major changes to the system. 21 NOV 2020:I may update all the systemshelper interface to match better with a programming language already out there. I'm thinking either C++ or Python. 20 SEP 2020: I update at least once a week - typically on the weekend. When I have more time, I'll update more. Also, note that I added a few more Tags that I thought was relevant.

Caged within the Ravencourt
A short and pain-filled life was all that Melissa was given, and it wasn't until falling asleep for the last time that she was finally given something more. Waking up in a healthy and young body, and faced with an unfamiliar culture and even more inexplicable sights, Melissa had to adapt to her life new as Kalie, the third Princess of the Shattered Isles of Cerith. It didn't take long for Kalie to realize that even though she finds herself in a strange world, she may just be one of the strangest parts of it. As Kalie comes to terms with her bizarre new life, she finds herself set in the sights of the powerful new king of a far off land. Eventually finding herself taken away to be Caged within the Ravencourt. This story is world spanning, and slow to start. It's my intention to build up towards the epic story I'm hoping to tell. Don’t expect over the top powers, just smart characters using magic interestingly. And, like my other stories, the focus is on the characters themselves, less so the world they’re in. Enjoy!

The End
There are five days left. The End is a miracle 10,000 years in the making that will free all from the confines of the world. The gods will soon be born. There is nothing that can be done about this. Not a webnovel, but a screenplay, submitted as my dissertation for my screenwriting degree. Sort of experimental. I have learned that I dislike writing screenplays, but all the same, I thought I'd post it anyway so it's at least worth something that way.

Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.
