"Yeah, by the way I like your hair it looks like my moms. Well one of them"

Scarlet was worried he would say she looked like his mom and drop her in the friend zone.

"What do you mean one of them?" Said Scarlet.

"Well my mom can't get pregnant so birth mother had me. My mom gave my birth mother the egg. So the only thing me and my sisters have in common is my dad. My sisters biological mother is my birth mother. Or at least that is what we have determined. But I call them both mom" Said Lucius.

"So you and Athena have different moms but the same dad?"

"No, she's my twin. Our younger sisters have a different mother, or at least some them do"

Scarlet wanted to ask if he had a picture of them but it seemed a bit odd. Scarlet felt his hand push her bangs away and ever so gently. She leaned in and closed her eyes. She felt his lips press against her cheek.

"Can we do that again" Said Lucius.

"I don't know, can we?" Said Scarlet.

She smiled and took a sip of the smoothie. They looked at each other from a long minute. She knew she liked him but she wondered if it was something more. When they finishes the smoothie they ran off to a clothing store.

"What do you think you want to try out?" Said Lucius.

"How about swimsuits first and you can decide what looks best" Said Scarlet.

She picked a few one piece swimsuits and said "What do you think will look best?"

"To be completely honest none. They don't help capture you in a good way. They would look good on you but then again you could have a garbage bag on and still look good. Something more like that" Said Lucius pointing at a bikini.

"That?" Said Scarlet turning a brighter red than ever before.

"You would look really good in it" Said Lucius with a half smile.

She picked up a few bikinis and walked into the changing room. She looked at a green bikini with dots and jumped into it.

She stepped out and said "What do you think".

She watched Lucius sit up and blink a few times.

"You didn't tell me you were curvy" Said Lucius.

"No, I'm not" Said Scarlet still bright red.

"And I'm not human" Said Lucius.

"So what do you think" Said Scarlet.

"You look adorable" Said Lucius.

She was happy with adorable but thought it was borderline friend zone. She ran off and jumped into another outfit. She wondered if he did like her as a friend.

"What do you think" Said Scarlet twirling in a red swimsuit.

"You look lovely" Said Lucius.

She was in a state of ecstasy. He had used the word lovely as if she was someone he loved not a person he thought was adorable. She tried on outfit after outfit and intended to get everyone he liked.

"I think that's all" Said Scarlet with a smile.

"That's too bad, I was enjoying the show" Said Lucius.

They paid and walked out. They were holding hands and Scarlet was smiling from ear to ear.

"What do you want to do?" Said Scarlet.

She felt his lips enlighten her cheek.

"I have an idea or two" Said Lucius.

They walked in the direction of her home. She stopped before they reached the slums. She knew he would get robbed if he want their. She was good a hiding anything worth something. That's why she thought she was terrible at hide and go seek.

"See you tomorrow then?" Said Scarlet.

"Maybe for you but I will be seeing to tonight in my dreams" Said Lucius.

His eyes looked terrifying and amazing. They held beauty and power within them. She wanted to kiss him but felt that would be far too much. She walked home avoiding every single person she could. The last thing she wanted was to get robbed. She passed through the small filthy houses and dark hell holes of alleys. She reached her small dark house and popped through the door. The dim light within kissed her cheeks.

"I'm home" Said Scarlet as a small red haired child tackled her.

"I missed you" Said Penelope.

Her red short hair was in two short braids. Her baby blue eyes looked up at Scarlet with joy.

"What's in the bag?"

"Nothing" Said Scarlet lifting the bag.

"Show meeee" Said Penelope grabbing at her shirt.

She began to crawl her way up Scarlet.

"Fine I'll show you"

She opened the bag and full of expensive clothing.

"How did you get all this?" Said Penelope.

"My friend got it for me" Said Scarlet with a smile.

"A boyfriend?" Said Penelope pressing her hands against Scarlet's cheeks.

"No, just a friend" Said Scarlet.

She walked to her room and sat on the tiny bed. She had Penelope laying across her lap.

She heard the door unlock and a woman say "I'm home".

They shot up and ran to the door. They hugged their mother and she spun them around.

"How was school?" Said Dorrie.

"Great" Said Scarlet.

"Scarlet got a bunch of pretty clothing" Said Penelope.

"How?" Asked her mother.

"My friend got it for me" Said Scarlet.

She looked at the price tag and gasped.

"Scarlet you know it's wrong to asked people to get things for you" Said her mother.

"I didn't ask he just got it for me" Said Scarlet.

"Wait a second, do you have a boyfriend?" Said her mother picking her up.

"No mom he is just my friend" Replied Scarlet.

"You can tell me. I can tell by the look on your face that you like him" Said her mother.

"I have homework to do" Said Scarlet with a smile.

She knew she didn't but she didn't want her mom to know she had a crush. She walked to her small room and looked at the price tags. She knew the clothing could buy her brother a full two months off work. If she could get someone to sell even a single piece of the clothing. She had a total of eleven pairs. She decided she could sell one. She hope Lucius wouldn't be mad.

She ate a small sandwich and went to bed. She got up and remembered that she hadn't read her sister a bedtime story. She walked over to her sister and pulled her to bed. She sat her down and read her a story. Her sister fell asleep soon after. Her mother was already asleep. She made lunch for her mother and brother then went back to bed.

She laid down and counted the stars.

She woke up the next morning and got up. She woke up and got whatever food they had. She made her family food and sat at the table. Her brother picked up the food and ran off. He had work to get to. She waited for her sister and walked with her.

She avoided anyone she didn't know and some people she did know. She eventually got to school with her sister. She got to her first class. She spent most of the time doing nothing but planning out what she would do at the beach. She did whatever work she had to and was all too ready for math. She found Hex and attempted to sneak up on her.

"I can hear you" Said Hex turning to her.

"How do you do that?" Said Scarlet with a smile.

"I can see you" Said Hex.

"And I can smell sound" Said Scarlet hugging Hex.

"So how was your date?" Said Hex.

"It wasn't a date" Said Scarlet bushing bright red.

"So is he a good kisser because if you don't know find out I will" Said Hex.

"I bet you will"

She spotted Aurora and ran over to her.

"Hey Baby face" Said Scarlet.

"Hey" Said Aurora.

"Ready for the beach?"

"I don't know. I don't think I should go" Aurora.

"Why not" Said Lucius.
