《Dungeon Core Online: Loremaster (fan fic)》DCO: Loremaster ch 11

Terrance looked around the shops of the NPC zone looking for something specific. When he finally found it he released a large smile. The book store had all kinds of things in it, from skill books to recipes to things related to lore.
Xander, the egotistical maniac he was, was a gamer. While he knew many people played games for the thrill, he also knew one fact that the industry had known for decades. Player versus play can make a game, but it is the campaign that can break it. There are several examples of popular games failing because they focused on the versus aspect of the game but leave the story behind the game wanting. That is why the former lead developer had implemented automatic story lore for his less than creative test subjects. Because he knew, a dungeon will draw people to it, but if it is lacking in story, then people will eventually stop playing no matter how cool it is.
After finding what he was looking for, Terrance bought the books he wanted and left to go to a crafting equipment store and spent his last coin on all that he would need. As that took all his time for this dungeon session he left and returned to his home and began to study.
-----
Emerson ended without much changing. Sure the dungeon evolved in small ways. Small balances and new upgrades were applied to all the older and newer random monsters and bosses. The secret boss of the fourth floor had a RNG counter added to it so the more undead sharks killed meant a higher chance of boss summon and when the number hit the normal summon amount it would be a guaranteed summon. A new npc, who was called private Ryan, gave quests related to his long missing sarg. Rumours of the sixth floor were being spread. Some thought it would be candy or dragon themed, a smaller number thought it would be bone related. The worst bard on the server got killed by a mimic snowman when he stopped to make lemon balls out of it. It got instant #1 on the private dungeon core streaming.

The next day Emerson ended similarly. And the next one after it. But not the one after that one. There was a huge change more normal out of the normal than the normal randomness of the dungeon. When players logged in and were going about their day they discovered dungeon mobs in town as neutral citizens. At first that is what they thought till one unlucky player tried to pickpocket another and one of the new bots quickly turned and raised one of its arms so the underbarrel was lined up with the pickpocket. The shot barely made a sound or was noticed in the semi busy street as it was a dart gun, but the thief falling over with a dart in his arm was noticed.
“ Make way for the Dungeon City Police Department coming through.”
The players looked amazed as over a dozen finally inspected the new addition to the city.
Dungeon City Police officer (Rookie)
Species: Velocity Raptor
Lvl: 100 (elite)
Stats: hidden
A rookie officer of the police department. Roams through the city on patrol to stop and deter crime. Lacks the higher ability to solve more complex crimes. Will call for backup if presented with a situation it can not handle. Usually has a more senior member of the force to train it.
By the time most players realized what just happened exactly. The officer returned the stolen goods and started dragging the perp away, to the new police station.
-----
Glyax could not hide his smile. It took some effort, not too many dp, and a little remodeling of his second floor but he finally got what he wanted.
You have earned the achievement Elitist': elites are 1 time spawns of a dungeon. In order to regularly spawn elites, you must have a symbolic way for elites to spawn on a dungeon floor. Due to the nature of Random type mobs, requirements for each mob type to have elites have been lowered, but do not carry over between floors.

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer?
