Chasing Lindor into the streets, Marlin searched for a sign of Jessica.

"HELLLP!" He heard a woman cry in the distance.

Marlin ran down the block trying to find the source of the voice.

"Jessica!" He called into the night.

He got no answer.

"Lindor please!" He heard a moment later from around the corner

"You bitch!"

Wham!

"How dare you! You punched me in the face!"

Wham!

"Lindor!" Marlin said finally finding Jessica. She was bloodied and bruised with Lindor standing over her with a wooden stick.

"You Bastard!" Marlin yelled

"Heh, she's all yours" Lindor yelled "I'm thru with her"

Marlin came to Jessica cradling her in her arms.

"M..Marlin.." She spoke through her bloody lips

"Don't talk! I'm going to get you help!"

"Marlin…" She said, trembling.

"Stop talking!" Marlin said crying.

"Marlin… please…Find my child… his name is… " Jessica lost her breath and fell into Marlins arms.

"NOoooooooooo!!!!!" Marlin cried. As the first tears started fogging his eyes it began to rain.

"Linddooooooooorrr!" He screamed

(Back to present)

"What happened! What did you do to Lindor!" Jimi asked.

"Nothing…" Marlin said. "I was too weak"

"No way man!" Jimi yelled "What about the kid!"

"I never got his name, it was impossible to find him."

"Is that why… someone like you who is so straight laced went with Prince?"

"It's exactly why" Marlin said. "Prince is everything I want to be… It doesn't matter how righteous I am.. I could have never avenged Jessica… I admire him for that… but the innocent people… when I think about it how am I any better than Lindor?"

"Marlin" Jimi said. "Thank you for telling me your story, but do not blame yourself, you didn't know what you were doing." Jimi said. "You were weak, and did what you could to avenge that girl, you did the right thing." He said putting his hand on Marlins shoulder.

Feeling Jimi's sympathy, Marlin began to tear up.

"Hey man c'mon! Stop with that! You're a grown man!" Jimi said, squeezing Marlins shoulder.

"In this new story…" Marlin said, looking up at Jimi. "It's good to know... That I'm not alone"

"You son of a bitch!" Jimi said, tearing up. "Stop saying stupid shit like that!"

After a few minutes of crying Jimi and Marlin came back to their senses

"What do you think Prince's story is like huh?" Marlin asked Jimi.

"I don't know" Jimi said. "But whatever it is, it's far from over, and soon enough were going to have to make a choice me and you" Jimi said

"Whats choice?" Marlin asked

"Are we going to be the main characters? Or the side characters?"
