《The Parasite in Cultivator World》Chapter 10: Training and Learning (2/2)

All that information was useful for Yu Min. It was not only described in short what dangerous things await there but as well it had information that should be gathered and could be valuable for the “Dark Sky” Sect. For instance, wolf pelt was useful for creating low grade armour. And Yu Min got one of those from the tournament. And the bestiary was providing information about why it was useful. In the case of wolves those were monsters who as well were gathering energy in their body. And most energy was concentrating in their pelt which was making their skin much more tough. Due to this “Crushing Fist” technique was doing only half damage to wolves. And vice versa for the cultivator such armour was providing passive defence against attack of the Wolves. There was always a risk for Cultivator to get internal injury, but it was saving them from immediate death if wolf claw would reach them.
Additionally that armour had active ability, but it could be only used by QI Subdual cultivators. In such cases armour became so tough that they were not afraid of snake bites. Even wolves couldn’t have such a good defence.
Snakes and “Devil Pit” were very useful due to their poison which could be used for alchemic purposes. Due to this it was suggested to take in the travel several vials in case they were successful in finding those.
In the case of Deers the most valuable part was their horns, which were concentrating the energy of fire or wind. In other words, they could do elemental attacks but not more than 1-2 attacks. And as well it was pretty easy to dodge them if they were ready for those. Due to the elemental energy those horns were very valuable for the Alchemist and talisman masters. That part was interesting for Yu Min while he didn’t know how it could be useful for alchemists and talisman masters.
All monster meat was possible to consume in order to increase the cultivation level. However, the amount of energy was not much in one piece. But if a QI Formation Realm cultivator would eat all the meat of the Dark Wood Wolf it could be compared to consuming one QI Formation Pill. So in the case of hair it was much less, but still it was some boost for the cultivators.

The most interesting part was the Quin spike snake. Not only was poison very valuable, but it had a special crystal which could be used by cultivators. It was told that it can be compared to 20 QI Formation Pills.
While Parasite and Yu Min still had some questions about that, they decided to go to the Pavilion of Knowledge and learn some knowledge. Due to his training they totally forgot that Elder Azai Muboku, talled Yu Min that he prepared for him details about the sect.
In reality Yu Min didn’t forget, just Parasite has substituted his thoughts with others - “You need to concentrate on practising these new techniques. The goal is to understand all of those and perfectly utilise new techniques.”
But when Parasite understood that Yu Min was ready he changed the thoughts in his mind. - “Time to get some knowledge. Some opponents could be beaten not only with power, but only with some knowledge and experience. Your fight with Kim Li is only proving this.”
“Yu Min, I see that you decided to visit the Pavilion of Knowledge” - Elder Azai greeted Yu Min as soon as he reached the entrance.
“I am sorry Respected Elder Azai Muboku, I totally forgot about your proposition due to the training on which I focused. I hope that the Great Elder doesn’t bear any grudge on me”.
“I was disappointed when you didn’t come after my invitation, however, I see that you have reached a new level and I understand that you are taking the path of cultivation seriously. Your requested books were waiting all this time near that table” - Elder has directed Yu Min attention to several pholiants which were lying near him.
“Thank you Respected Elder, i as well have additional request if it is possible to get some book about the alchemy while I am interested how monster parts are used in it”
“Here you can read those 2 books. One is fundamental alchemy, on your level you would not be able to use that but still it may be useful. And the second is representing different plants which you can find in the nearby locations”
“Thank you Respected Elder, than I will start to read all of this”

The first pholiant which Yu Min took was about the “Dark Sect”. It was created around 700 years ago by 2 QI Alteration cultivators who gathered several people from nearby villages. They were defending nearby villages from the monsters which were appearing from time to time from the woods. One practik was good in alchemy and the second one was good at creating different artefacts. After 100 years they promoted one disciple to be a patriarch of the “Dark Sky” sect. And as well they shared their knowledge about alchemy and artefacts to 2 other disciples. The Patriarch of the sect didn’t have any talent in alchemy or artifactory. But he was good at combat and management of people. While two other disciples had good enough talent in artifactory and alchemy. Since then Patriarch and those Grand Elders have changed 3 times. Their mastery was increasing with each generation. And the current Patriarch was one of the strongest among them, because he reached the QI Synergy realm, while the current 2 Grand Elders were one step to become QI Synergy cultivators.
The position of Patriarch and 2 Grand Elder were not inherited in the families; it was always inherited by the most worthy disciples.
As soon as the current Patriarch got his position there were many changes in the Sect. Especially rules with regards to discipline and order in the sect. Amount of internal fights in the sect were decreased to minimum any conflicts were very roughly suppressed. Sect began to provide more information to the disciples about the outside world and the cultivation. And all disciples were under much more control. War which happened 100 years ago was also begun by the current Patriarch in which one sect was totally destroyed. At that time the sect already had much more power to fight against any sect. But they wanted the mine which had mine with QI Crystals. That mine was giving the possibility to produce more QI Formation pills. In other words, the current Patriarch was interested in increasing the current sect level to 2 stars. And until now it seems that the plan was going as intended.
In the alchemy book Yu Min found the information about different receipts which could be created. For instance, Yu Min found the information about QI Regeneration pills which were created from several plants which Yu Min never heard about and snake poison. As well it has a receipt about how to create QI Formation pills and it requires QI Crystals which were extracted from mines. And it as well had information about Quin Snake Crystal which was used in order to create the Concentrated QI Formation pill. In the book it was told that it could substitute 50 QI Formation Pills. But it was most valuable due to the effect which was increasing chances to break through to the QI Subdual Realm.
However, in order to be able to prepare any of those, a disciple should be on QI Subdual realm in order to manipulate the ingredients and fire. Due to this it was not studied in the QI Formation realm.
The next book about plants was describing different planets which could be found in the woods. The most interesting for the Yu Min was the “red hood” plant which was used in the creation of QI Regeneration Pills. It’s mainly used to suppress the effect of the Snake Poison. Due to this most disciples who were bitten by the snake were taking QI Regeneration Pill while it not only increases energy recovery but as well suppressing poison in the body. Another plant which was interesting was “Sunny Lilly”. It was growing only in the lake in dark wood and was glowing like a sun. It was always gathering energy from surrounding and due to this it was used for the QI Regeneration Pill, while the poison of the snake was kept “Sunny Lilly” inside the pill.
All that information was very useful while it could help Yu Min to get more profit from such dangerous places like Dark Wood. And thus he decided that as soon as he would be confident in “blood needle” technique he would go to the exam in order to get access to the dark wood.
