In no time, Gan shortly arrived on Route 3 where there was a Pokemon Center present. There were a few people sitting outside of the Pokemon Center in hiking and camping gear. Gan didn't exit out of the Forest for them to see, so he went down a little so no one would see him emerge from the forest.

After Exiting the lower part of the forest, he saw 2 Pokemon Battling. It was a Sandshrew and a Mankey going at it. Sandshrew had a high physical defense stat, so the Mankey was having a hard time dealing with it.

Gan didn't care about their little battle and had Koffing spew Poisonous Gas throughout the grass. Other Pokemon in the area were sadly poisoned from this and emerged from their place of hiding among the bushes. Gan's eyes went wide from surprise when he saw one of the Pokemon!

It was a Rare Spawn, a Charmander!

Gan didn't plan to have a Charizard join his team but he needed it for his Pokedex entry. He had 31 PokeBalls, so he was going to be in Mt. Moon for a while. The only Pokemon not affected by the Poisonous gas was Ekans, who actually took this gas as an advantage.

Ekans slithered quickly and caught a Rattata who was dizzy and slowed from the poison. Gan Commanded Koffing to use Flamethrower on all of these Pokemon. He checked their levels and found that none of them exceeded level 10.

Gan was chucking Pokeballs like he was a Baseball player. These Pokemon couldn't resist and were caught with ease. The Charmander was only a 1-star Pokemon, so its Potential was too limited. Gan caught two of each Pokemon except for Charmander, which didn't appear anymore.

2 Sandshrew, 2 Ekans, 2 Mankey, and 1 Charmander.

As for the other Pokemon in this area, they were already caught and added to his future Pokedex entry. Koffing didn't level up, but he did receive experience from this little bout. After spent an hour here, he went over to the Pokemon Center to heal the Poisoned Pokemon.

Gan sat in the Pokemon Center for 10 minutes until they were healed. Right as he walked out of the Pokemon Center, he ran into Warren.

"You came?" Gan was stunned and said unconsciously. However, Warren had switched clothes and was no longer wearing his Team Rocket uniform. He wore brown baggy pants and long sleeve Black shirt, with a black and brown beanie hat on his head.

"Of course, I thought about what you said and decided to come along. Is there something wrong?" Warren coughed slightly with a little flush across his face.

"Nothing, it's good to see you coming around." Gan patted his shoulder with a wide grin.

"Ahem, whatever, let's head to Mt. Moon already." Warren walked off towards the entrance of the cave and Gan followed behind him. Once they entered the cave, they could see lighting all around, so it wasn't dark.

The entrance to the Cave was well made and managed.

"Be careful when you walk, you could end up stepping on a Geodude." Warren warned. Geodude buried themselves halfway underground, so kicking or stepping on them by mistake happened a lot. Some of the people that made this mistake usually got their legs punched and broken by the Geodudes.

"Damn!" Gan stopped and started walking carefully to prevent this. The lighting on the 1st floor was a little too bright for Zubat, so they hung out on the 2nd floor or lower levels most of the time. There was light on these floors as well but not as much of it as it was on the 1st floor.

Gan and Warren saw a few hikers camping in this place and eating food over a fire. He was sure that there were more people in this cave, maybe somewhere on this floor or on the other levels. As they were walking, they spotted a Pokemon with two mushrooms on its back.

It was a Paras.

Gan act immediately and summoned his Koffing to attack it. A sludge was enough to do the Pokemon in with ease, and he caught it. Gan loved this feeling, being able to catch Pokemon like this, it felt so good.

Warren was surprised, and a fire burned in him for some reason seeing Gan so motivated.

"I heard Mt. Moon has Clefairy around here, where can I find this Pokemon?" Gan suddenly asked.

"Uh, I don't know. They're the rarest Pokemon in Mt. Moon, so I couldn't tell you where to find them." Warren shook his head helplessly.

Gan nodded and didn't say anything. They kept walking, then they spotted 3 Geodudes gathered together. Poison-type moves were Not Very Effective on Geodude, but Geodude was weak on the Special Defensive side.

Their levels weren't high either, being only between levels 6 to 8. Koffing levitated over and shot multiple sludges at them. They all took heavy damage, but they didn't faint or get poisoned from the attack. They couldn't do anything, they only had tackle as an offensive attack, so what could they do?

In mere seconds, they all fell the same, and Gan caught them all the same. Sadly, they all had 1-Star Potential like always, it was a little depressing to Gan.

Warren noticed this and wanted to say something, but the words got caught in his throat. He didn't know why Gan was suddenly feeling and looking so depressed when he was happy not too long ago.

'Maybe my fortune will be better on the 2nd floor.' Gan thought to himself.

Afterward, they both took the ladder down to the Second floor. The lighting here was dim but still manageable.

Just as they entered the 2nd floor, they were attacked by 5 Zubat. Koffing used Flamethrower and blew 2 away from him.

"I want a Zubat, this is one of the Pokemon I want to add to my team." Warren suddenly said happily. He was worried about how to deal with so many at once since they mostly travel in big numbers.

Gan saw that one of Zubat had a 3-star talent, and he told Warren that it was the best one of them. He didn't care about a Zubat, he only wanted it for his entry.

Just as Gan was dealing with the Zubat, the ground shook which almost stumbled Gan and Warren.

A huge figure casted a large shadow over Gan and Warren, it was a long snake-like creature with a tall rocky stature.

Onix Roared and sent many rocks flying over with its tail. Gan jumped to the ground to dodge and so did Warren. However, the Zubat that were flying around were hit and fell towards the ground.

"Shit! That was close!" Gan looked at Onix with shock, but he quickly calmed down, it was only at level 10.

"Go! Venomoth!" Warren suddenly took the Pokeball off his waist and summoned it.

Venomoth appeared from its PokeBall and Warren instructed it to use Psybeam. With that, a Purple beam shot from its mouth towards Onix.

Gan took this time to analyze the Venomoth.

Gan looked at Warren like there was something wrong with him, he was scared to explore places with such a strong Pokemon!

"What is the world coming to!?" At that moment, Onix was blown back by the Psybeam and crashed into some rocks.

Many Geodude leaped out and started floating around with faces filled with anger. The Onix didn't faint because of his Ability Sturdy.

"Catch it, now!" Warren suddenly said.

Warren tossed a Pokemon towards the Zubat that Gan said was the best one while Gan tossed 2 PokeBalls.

One towards the Onix and one towards a fainted Zubat, which was a 2-Star Zubat. With that, he caught 2 new Pokemon.

However, once he caught these two, he heard a Notification.

[Ding! Congratulations, you've caught more than 15 different species of Pokemon!]

Gan was shocked and wanted to look at the mission more, but he couldn't until the group of Geodude rushed over to attack. They had no one else to take their anger out on other than Gan and Warren.

Gan looked over at the group of Geodude, there must be about 10 of them. However, something stood out to Gan, it was a Geodude with a weird Red Fluctuation of Aura over its rocky body.

Gan's mouth went wide from Joy, it was a 4-Star Pokemon! Geodude wasn't bad, and Golem was just as good. The move rock slide isn't even a move it should have this early on, it was clearly a very special Pokemon.

The Aura, Potential, and move Rock Slide said it all.

Warren looked over at Gan strangely, why was he suddenly so happy now? Was it because of the Onix he caught or was this guy Bipolar? These thoughts circulated through his mind for a bit before he pointed his attention back to the group of raging Geodude.

"Ah, yes, it looks like party member number 2 has been found." Gan smiled and commanded his Koffing.
