Underground of Spiral Island

After narrating the entire story, Mother Riz sighs and turns her eyes to the villagers busying around getting soup that was prepared for everyone.

"Mother Riz for you and little jas" a villager put a tray that consists of three servings of soup.

"There is one for the child if he wakes up" the girl who serves, observes the child who peacefully lies in sleep.

Little Jas looked at her and smiled at the girl that served the soup "Thank You, big sister!", the girl nodded, returning a smile to the little girl and walked away to serve other villagers.

Mother Reiz gives a bowl of soup to little jas, while little Jas enjoys the warmth and taste of the soup, she looks up to her and asks "Mother, why is there a long pathway here underground to the forest above us?"

"Did Old Geez and others dig through here? It is so long and this space is so big, and there is a big pond here and has rain above it, it's so beautiful Mother", Little Jas put a mesmerizing expression while spouting her questions.

Mother looks at the pond at the side, everyone's calm and doesn't feel the depressing pressure of the incoming pirates because of the beautiful pond, just looking at its picturesque scene gives a wave of vibe that can calm your nerves.

The scene of the calm pond with the rain ceiling that keeps pouring and giving life to the quiet pond is breathtaking and gorgeous.

Breathing in the fresh air, Mother Riz calmly narrates the myth of this island.

"There is a myth story about this island, a hundred years ago."

"This island is submerged in the sea, that you will not see the top of the mountain, and it was believed that the 'Fishwheel' was the one who is the aboriginal of this island."

"This island is the home of the Ancient Fishwheel", Mother Riz smiled at her daughter who interestingly listened to her.

"I know fishwheel! it's the name of our village! but I didn't remember seeing a Fishwheel, mother!", little Jas thinks hard to remember if she sees it, and Mother Riz can only laugh the way little Jas frowned in distress.

"hahaha you won't see it here now, because there are tens of submarine volcanoes that simultaneously erupt with a momentum that shakes the sea and darken the sky." Mother Riz puts a darkened expression and using the soup as a demonstration, she slightly shakes it making waves in the center of the soup that has a piece of meat.

Little Jas put a scared expression like she sees the impending doom of the fish in the myth.

"The one who suffers the natural wrath of the world is the Fishwheel who is aboriginal of this island, and was annihilated to its extinction that everyone can't find a clue if there is a chance of survival." Mother Riz put a saddened tone in her narration, and little Jas eyes glitter with tears.

"And after tens of years the topography changed in such a drastic way that this island emerged above the sea while the sea around the island kept on spiraling like it was hindering it from emerging and wanting it to drain and submerge it again.", stirring the side of the soup creates a whirlpool in the center and meat rotates following the flow of the stream.

"And the first to see the scene found out that the landscape is full of holes that lead to a different part of the island.", Mother Riz kept telling the stories that she didn't notice that every villager stopped what they were doing and listened to her.

Little jas was amazed by the story and seeing this put a smile on the wrinkled face of Mother Riz.

"You ask why there are so many pathways that it looks like a maze?"

"Because the Fishwheel has a hard shell that looks like a shining star in its head, imagine it like a fish with a lion's hair in its neck. but the difference is the hard shell of the Fishwheel can rotate faster depending on its age and having a spear-like weapon in its upper jaw that can use as a penetration."

"And if a Fishwheel reaches adulthood it can penetrate a steel plate that has a thickness of 2 feet. so the pathway that we walkthrough is not dug by Old Geez or anyone. It is the Fishwheel who penetrates it through here and the pond that you see is the nest of their eggs. This area is the core of the spiral island."

"Wow! amazing!", said a child who was sitting beside little Jas.

Many of the children come near to their position just to listen intently to the myth of the island.

One of the kids raises his hand and shout "I want to see a Fishwheel! I will raise it and pet it!"

"Me too"

"Hey! you didn't listen Fishwheel is gone now" most of the children keep talking to it nonstop that all of the villager's moms were smiling.

When the atmosphere kept warming a villager emerged in the Pathways beside the pond, and he ran to Mother Riz and whispered in her ears what Old Geez and others found out.

She nodded and stood up and patted the dust to her bottom "Everyone, we will stay here. Old Geez and others found a pirate ship coming here. I want you all to keep calm, and Tom did you prepare what I ordered for you earlier ?" She glanced at her sturdy niece

"Yes, auntie!"

"Good! then send the signal so that they can pull the lever to the six pathways to the forest and find 4 strong men that will guard in the cave that has a cover of waterfalls. Got it?" She commands Tom and other men.

"Yes, Mother Riz !", they ran in their respective tasks.

She looked at the 3 villagers that had a task to collect fishes they captured in the sea and fruits in the forest and put it in the storage.

"How many did you collect ?", the villager who is tasked to organize and estimate how long it will last

"We almost fill the storage and we estimate we will completely consume it in three weeks, if we tighten the control and shorten the portion of everyone we can stretch it to one month. besides we spot a fish in the pond, we just don't know if it is edible.", the villager gives the estimated chart that the three of them put their brain to calculate.

"Good! Go and capture one fish and give it to me and I'll give it a look" she looked at the chart and said to the three.

"Yes! hey, you go capture one fish!"

While Mother Riz read the content of the storage, she felt the tugging of her pants. She looked down and found out that little Jas was looking at her.

"Mother! I'll just be here beside you", little Jas smiled at her, she can't help but smile too.

"Even if you don't want to, I'll knock your head and tie you to my waist hahaha" Mother Riz laugh

Little Jas looked at her grandmother "You laugh like Old Shit", which makes her laugh even more "hahaha you, disrespectful brat. hahaha but well if it's Old Geezer itis fine hahaha"
